  1. There is no doubt that it will create a lot of issues we don’t need. Which is why I have doubts that he should get the job. But If he does get the job will you still want QP to do well? Would Nathan still be able to carry out his communication role?
  2. Maybe it tells the local community that racists and bigots can realise how terrible their views and behaviours are and can change. Surely that is something the club should support? Society as a whole certainly needs that.
  3. No-one is saying his texts were anything other than disgusting. I must admit I doubt that a lot of my texts over the years would stand up to scrutiny but I’m sure (I hope!) I have never texted anything remotely as bad as that. But should it mean he has no right to a future? As far as I’m aware he has apologised and shown remorse. Whether he means it or not we’ll never know. But other that do penance and be flogged wearing sackcloth and ashes what more can he do? I guess I take a more simplistic view to the new head coach. I want the person hired that will bring us the most success. Given his past I doubt that MacKay is that person. But if, as seems likely, he gets the job he will have my support.
  4. Not a question of forgiveness for me. It’s a question of (1) given his past is this the sort of person we want as head coach? and (2) do we need the distraction that his appointment will inevitably bring? On the positive side he is an experienced coach that has coached at the top level and will have lots of contacts. And he is a QP fan ( for what that’s worth). Maybe I’m just shallow and cynical but if he is appointed and wins us League 1 next season I reckon most people will forgive him.
  5. Looking the most likely option. Certainly the easiest and most obvious in some ways - although it may be one that will cost us due to his past actions.

  7. This does show how ruthless the club is now. Incredibly harsh to sack McKinnon but that is the world we signed up to I guess. Based on this there may be a lot more player turnover than we think. Especially once a new manager comes in.
  8. Who do people thiink will still be here next season? Players/ coaches etc. I think there may be a lot more changes than supporters realise. We're part of a different world now.
  9. Expectations have increased so much this season that it is easy to feel disappointed about last night’s game But it is important to take a step back - 12 points clear at the top. A win and a draw in the next two games will win us our first title in 21 years. I for one intend to celebrate as much as I can.
  10. Be more than one if you want to emulate that old soak. Better not celebrate too hard Dooflick if we win league on Sat. Can't have you having a good time whilst the private funeral of a 99 year old man you never knew is taking place 440 miles away.
  11. https://spfl.co.uk/news/fixture-update-47615 Marvellous. Mind you if results go our way we could be having a title winning party at 3pm.
  12. Brilliant. All football moved because some old racist died.
  13. Why is it? I remember QP playing GSTQ when her alkie sister in law died. Lets hope we don't do something similar on Tuesday. At least I can turn on the mute button this time.
  14. Things don't always work out as planned. So be it. I'm sure we'll have a stadium in due course. We can wait. But to piss off your support by treating them like idiots is a different matter. I'm not as bothered as some about leaving Hampden. But it is an enormous part of our history and a lot of supporters are really upset about the lack of acknowledgement yesterday. We all know it is a very difficult situation and we can't leave with the fanfare we would have liked. But to say nothing? A big mistake.
  15. I'm only talking about acknowledging that this was probably our last game at Hampden. Surely that could be said without fear of legal recourse.
  16. A lot more comfortable than I expected. Connell looks like some player and Murray was everywhere. Looking gooď - on the park anyway
  17. Couldn't believe that such a momentous event than our last game at Hampden was barely mentioned by the President or the commentators. I know that at least one of the commentators will be really upset about this - so there must be some sort of party line handed out not to mention it. Just be honest about what is happening. All this silence and subterfuge is making a bad situation worse.
  18. Jesus! I would rather go back to Airdrie than have to endure Broadwood. I hope it’s not true. Or if it is - it’s only short term.
  19. I’m sure the media team will come up with a fitting tribute. I can only assume they weren’t aware that Quinno had left up until now.
  20. I've heard a whisper that there is a rumour that we may hear something within the next few days. Certainly before 4 April as that is the date of our next home game but that is just conjecture on my part.
