  1. Going back to Saturday - it was great to see the players chat to the fans. Even "auld steamers" like me. Wullie Muir was in great form and even sat with me and another couple of auld steamers at the end of the night having a wee drink. Great to have him back.
  2. Me neither. Maybe there is another reason why TMWNN is comparing them?
  3. Members of the committee made it clear at the AGM that we don't need a vote. So unless enough members get together to call an EGM on the issue - the way is clear. The sooner we get it done the better.
  4. Just about everyone I've spoken to or heard speak at various meetings has come to the conclusion that we need to go pro to have a chance to survive in senior football. Some don't like it but are realistic to know we have little option. Whilst realising the risks of going pro I can't help being a bit excited by the prospect. Where do we get funds to go pro? I don't know but I do know that a lot of new opportunities open up. As a wise man said at the QP AGM. - "let's just get this done".
  5. Based on today's perfomance he already is a great addition.
  6. Well done QP. More than held our own. Penalty shoot out a wee bonus. New signings looking good. And great to have Muir back. Getting dangerously optimistic!
  7. Will be a long delay then. My reserved seat will no doubt be in my living room.
  8. Remember that our three top scorers last season were Lewis Hawke, Scott McLean and David Galt. Players that were signed later in the season. Best not to make too many predictions based on who has signed by 1 July.
  9. I assume we will be back at Hampden on 10 Aug for first home leagie game?
  10. Will any of the fans on here be needing to order a milkshake?
  11. I hate to labour the point but it was club that provided the incorrect information through FB and on the official site - not the SA. If things had not been confirmed the club should not have put anything on the website.
  12. No idea who put it on FB. It was a link to the official website which provided the information which has now been changed. Whether it was a mistake or not I don't know. Just glad it is sorted now.
  13. There was a post fom the club on Facebook with a link to the official website stating thst there would be a £10 charge for buses to home games. It has now beem amended to state there will be no charge.
  14. Why the club couldn't have told us the buses were free from the start is beyond me. Anyway thank god they are. It will be hard enough to get any sort of crowd to these games.
  15. Agreed. No reflection on the SA at all. I assume the club has refused or ignored their requests for info about a free bus. The club should be providing a free bus. Simple as that. Paid for through compensation from SFA. Anything else is an outrage.
  16. It is possible we may be able to stay in senior football whilst staying amateur but there is no doubt in my mind that we have a much better chance if we go professional in some way. No guarantee of course but for me the most important thing is to maximise our chances. Staying amateur in a senior professional league for so long was a great achievement. But we have to adapt to different times. I know some will disagree but staying senior is more important to me than staying amateur.
  17. 1 July or thereabouts for new players. If/when we go professional that will change - along with a lot of other more important things.
  18. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is we can announce those who have re-signed from last season in June, but can't officially annonce signing anyone new until July. Possibly but not sure if that applies to new players that are not currently with a club.
  19. According to QP Facebook page we will find out signing news tomorrow. Whether this is just players we have re-signed or new players as well I’m not sure but it is described as “great” news. That word again.
  20. It was quite simple (I thought!). Wullie was a great QP player. I didn't think that was a remotely contentious comment. Quite what it has to do with Bill Burgess, Alan Irvine etc etc etc ........... I don't know (and don't want to find out).
  21. Makes you wonder if he is making this up as he goes along - as if!
  22. Spider - Your "joke" about throwing a milkshake over Wullie if he returned strongly suggested that you would not give him the same support as everyone else. Glad to see you've seen the errors of your ways and will give him your full support if we are lucky enough to get him back.
  23. To be the player of the year in a promotion winning team? And then to be outstanding in a team that was not far away from play offs to the Championship? That’s great enough for me and I’m sure to any other QP fan who is not carrying out some petty vandetta against him. Can’t think of many QP players in living memory that can boast that sort of record.
