  1. Would agree with your thoughts regards up to half time. We, too often don't turn up for periods of games. Big Neil Schoneville was causing carnage in the box at set pieces. Your no 2(player), could be doing with a anger management course.
  2. Gow 3 Lanark United 2 2-0 down. Fought back well, scored late on, for winner. Good game.
  3. Girvan 2 Gow 1 If the Gow had bothered to show up in first half might have been different. Girvan 2-0 up at half time. Gow pushed a bit more in second half, got a goal back but despite some late pressure couldn't get back into it. Girvan deserved their win. We just didn't get going to any great degree. Which is disappointing considering what was at stake. Another season in division three beckons.
  4. East Kilbride Th 1 Gow 3 1-0 up midway through first half, then down to ten men, no arguments about sending off. Gow still looked the more likely to score again. EK came out second half and put us under a lot of pressure and got it back to 1-1., through a debatable penalty. Gow made a few changes and reaped the rewards in last ten minutes, when we scored two belters. The team deserve a lot of praise for digging in and getting the result.
  5. It's not Scottish footballs problem that Old Firm have bloated youth systems. It's their problem. Have they not heard of the loan system or slimming down youth systems and using cash elsewhere? English football manages fine, without the need for B team dross.
  6. The only compromise I can see, is expand it to 20 teams include WOFSL, EOFSL & SOS. Two up from it, one play off 2nd bottom L2. Three down. Open up, almost closed shop that is LL, three up and three down, no play offs. Other than that get old Firm to slim down reserves and youths. Use cash elsewhere. It's not Scottish footballs problem that Old Firm have bloated youth systems. It's their problem.
  7. I think they are trying to propagate this story, that it's a done deal to try dampen resistance. It's a colossal farce that needs binned. Reserve League for B dross.

  10. The "Non League" football site on Facebook is planning a month of action through May under the banner of "No to B teams" for anyone interested. I will be giving it my support. https://www.facebook.com/groups/nonleague/permalink/2144815472390860/
  11. Couldn't comment on offside due to distance from it and your player dissenting and constantly manhandling our number ten didn't help him. All still to play for. As for dodgy decisions we've had our fair share too. Doesn't help ref when no linesmen for offside decisions
  12. Gow 1 Larky 0 Gow scored early in first half. Had a penalty saved. Larky down to ten men midway through second half. Larky never really threatened our goal to much. Brings Gow back into promotion hunt. Result was perfect antidote to losing late goal down there to lose 5-4.
  13. Gow 4 Newmains United 0 Could have been double figures if the Gow had been more clinical. A great fourth goal from Ross Marchant rounded things off on a fine evening at Fortress Craighead.
  14. Gow 2 Kello Rovers 2 2-0 up early into second half and contrived to lose two goals and get a man sent off. Happened too many times this season, dropping points from winning position. Baw is burst regards any lingering hopes of promotion. Only positive, pies were well good.
  15. Gow 3 East Kilbride Thistle 0 Routine win. Could have been much more. EK manager needs to stop getting his team to play out from back, as they clearly can't do it. Several opportunities were given to us, as a result.
  16. I know our defence hasn't been up to scratch for most of the season and that's why we might struggle to go up but it was a surprise how bad yours was considering your quite vocal about promotion. You won't be going anywhere unless that defence sorts itself out We lost ONE more goal, hardly a barrowload.
  17. Larkhall Th 5 Gow 4 The Gow were far too passive in first half, went in 2-0 down. Larky scored early in 2nd half to make it three. Then the Gow revival started, got two quick goals. Larky then scored from a breakaway up the park 4-2 Maguire and Coffey came on like men possessed. Maguire scored, then Weir scored from a free kick, with keeper blundering 4-4. At that point, only looked like one winner. Gow hit post and shot just over the bar. Larky then scored with a few minutes to go, catching Gow on the break. The Gow deserved more out of it, if they hadn't been so passive in first half. Larky are good middle to front, however their defence is an absolute car crash.
  18. With top six having between 10-15 games to go. I wouldn't discount anyone. Expecting and actually happening can be miles apart. I wouldn't have expected VOL to get result against Larky, nor our defeat to Carluke. Midweek fixtures beginning soon that adds another myriad of possibilities. The Gow have been on a run of good form, discounting Carluke and there were circumstances. Looking forward to the game down at Gasworks. Write us off at your peril.
  19. They aren't closing it, just pausing. I would be disappointed if the above was the case. It could be just as easily be a positive outcome.
  20. SFA licensing will be pausing accepting membership applications until Autumn this year, due to membership process review, whatever that entails. That's straight from the SFA licensing board. As my club had made an initial application
  21. Gow 5 Dalry Thistle 2 Gow raced into 3-0 lead by half time. 3rd goal from Paul Woodlock was goal of the season contender. Dalry woke up a bit in the second half. Gow went 4-0 up early on with a quality finish from McStay. Dalry had a wee spell and got a goal back. Gow replied with a fifth from the penalty spot, only to be pegged back with another Dalry strike. Gow had a few opportunities after that but couldn't take them.
