Definitely in Gow's own hands now not saying its a certainty by any means. Today v Girvan shows how tough each game will be.
Finnart out of it, VOL I feel will drop short and Threave needed all 3 points today.
Can Gow handle the pressure.
No hingin' aboot today, not always as on the ball.
If we win six remaining games we will finish at least third, haven't lost in eight now.
We do have a habit of grinding out wins but taking nothing for granted, until we cross the finishing line. Today was close to a slip up but got there at the very end.
Threave/Bellshill draw was helpful today, along with Kello winning. I think this Wednesday clash with Bellshill, could be important but by no means defining.
So far the team have handled it and with big Sinky in charge he won't settle for anything less.
Some tough games still to come, so won't be making any predictions but the current form suggests we are heading in the right direction.
Enjoyed my visit to Meadow Park, impressive venue and pies. Albeit was a long haul midweek. We were lucky to get a draw that night.

Gow 2 Girvan 1
Gow missed a great chance early on. Girvan went ahead after 35 minutes from the penalty spot. Gow equalised just before half time.
Second half was a war of attrition.
The Gow scored from a corner late into injury time. Girvan kicked off, and ref blew for full time.
Considering Girvan have been a bit of a bogey team for us, it was a good result.
Definitely the definition of a late sickener as far as Girvan were concerned.

I think it ends any hope Dalry had of making it into promotion places, although it was a long shot.

The Gow have five games in hand of Finnart, if current form continues we will catch them, as they seem to be faltering a bit.
As for VOL, we still have to play them our away form is pretty good recentlty. We have four games in hand of them too.
Bellshill are catchable to, we still have them to play at home. We drew 5-5 down there, should have won.
Yes I would agree points on board are better than potential points and other factors can come into play but do not under estimate, the Big Sinky factor.
Duncan Sinclair and Matty Clarke know what it takes.
If we lose out on promotion, it won't be for the lack of trying.
This league is full of twists and turns and I'm sure there will be more to come before it's over.

Gow 2 Kilsyth Athletic 0
Gow bandwagon rolls on. Another good win. Both goals in first half, Gow the better team first half.
Bit of a war of attrition in the second half. Kilsyth battled away but Gow never looked like losing a goal.
Unlucky not to make it three near the end.
A good days work on a heavy park.

The Gow are doing well, since the transitional period when we changed management. It took a wee while for team to settle.
Since Lanark away, when we won 2-1. Including that game, unbeaten in six away games, 5 wins 1 draw. Difficult games too, West Park, Finnart, Irvine Vics, Glasgow United and Threave.
We are finding a way of grinding out wins and management ethos inbedded in team now.
Additions of Stevie McGurgan and Kyle Stewart at centre half have made a difference.
Just need to win games in hand, easier said than done but looking good so far.

Threave are the team who impressed me most this season. Only got one game to go on. Well set up and like to try and play football.
Both looked good, got a pie. Never seen a pie so packed with filling before. Keep you going for a week lol.
Threave were determined and played some good stuff. Final touch deserted them at times. Wee no 8 is a class player, think he's Dunglinson, a buzz bomb.
We did well to get a point, we did have our chances too but mostly played on the counter.
Seemed like a completely different team to the one we beat 3-1 at Craighead.
Lanark seem to be coming together at the right time and looking good for promotion.

Threave 1 Gow 1
Good battling display by Gow last night. Threave played well. Good point considering.
Referee made some baffling decisions for either side, loved a yellow card and very little game management skills.
Lost count of yellows issued and a red each late on.
Great wee ground.

Grinding out away wins, five on the trot now against good teams/promotion hopefuls.
Looks like new management team have a good formula and it's taking effect.
If we can keep up recent form, we will be in the mix. Mon the Gow.

Promising signs that new management team are addressing previous defensive frailties.
Recently brought in Steven McGurgan is a rock at centre half and very effective going forward. Now backed up by Kyle Stewart, who is very proactive
Young keeper we've had in on loan, Josh McGill has looked very competent and an able deputy to our no 1. Jordan Brown., who is currently injured.
Scoring goals have never been a problem for us. The addition of Greg Miller to the front line has only improved an already potent strike force.
After a transitional period with change of management, etc. We are heading in the right direction.
I wouldn't discount us from the promotion race just yet.

West Park United 1 Lesmahagow 2
A very wet afternoon. Free tea, coffee and biscuits for all, on arrival, was a nice touch.
Gow went ahead on the half hour, then added a second on 75 mins.
West Park got one back deep into added time.
Good away win.

Lesmahagow 3 Port Glasgow 3
A good first and last 15, don't know what happened in between but it was far from ideal.
Ports third goal was at least four yards offside. Doesn't help refs with no linesmen but I reckon the crew on the ISS could have seen it as offside.
I suppose considering we were 3-1 down with seven minutes to go, we will take the point but really should have done much better.

Fair. We were awful first half. 3 half time substitutions changed the dynamic considerably without creating lots of opportunities. When we eventually equalised I could only see one team winning but, a huge defensive blunder put paid to that. The 2nd yellow was always on the cards and made a painful defeat more costly than it needed to be.
Have to agree, after your equaliser I thought it didn't look good and regards to 2nd yellow.
Pies were top notch.
Good to see young yins getting behind team.

Lanark United 1 Gow 2
Three new loan signings in the team, who aquitted themselves well and our top striker out. The Gow ground out an important win.
Gow went ahead just before half time, through an og by Lewis Meikle.
Lanark pushed for the equaliser in the second half and got it midway through.
Gow were under pressure for large spells of the second half but held out quite well.
A break up the park from the Gow with a few minutes to go and Matty Clarke finished with aplomb to make it 2-1.
Lewis Meikle got sent off for a rash tackle near the end as Gow went for a third.
Much needed win against a good team on their own patch. Reversed the points lost earlier in the season at the Craighead.
Mon the Gow.

Big game tomorrow for both teams hope Gow can pull it off. The keeper on loan fae Bellshill hopefully he comes onto a game. Not nice to say thought he struggled against Adeer.
On loan keeper didn't play against Cumbernauld, it was Jordan Thomson filled in between the sticks in the past.
Hopefully Lewis Melvins thumb has recovered, as might still be too early for Jordan Brown but not out of the question.

It was never a 7-1 game today. There's clearly issues that need to be addressed as we've slumped badly in the last few games.

Deserved win but not a huge amount between the teams tbs. Won't be many teams win there this season.
Kilsyth are a good team, try and play football. Big CB recently signed from Petershill impressed.
Kilsyth went ahead through a penalty on 58 minutes. We made 2 substitutions before kicking off and then scored 2 goals on 60th and 62nd minute and had a 3rd harshly disallowed on 63 minutes.
Our good run of form continues.
Good win at a difficult venue.

There was a snack bar at industrial estate that you drive by on road to ground, after you turn in off main road, a few hundred yards from ground.

Only Kello have scored fewer goals than us so far but, we only scored 4 in our first 5 matches. However, we've conceded only 20 in total.
Beat Dalry 2-0 without both our first choice CB's yesterday. We should have won by more. Both keepers had some excellent saves.
Dalry had a man and a manager sent off near the end. Their big number 5 needs to keep working at the acting classes, cause they are not working!
The big no 5, needs lessons on offside too. Some of the shouts from him for offside were ridiculous, in the games we've played against them. Although he wasn't the only one.
Their manager does tend to have a short fuse. Got involved with fans at Craighead.

End to end stuff. Gow more technical, Bellshill a bit more agricultural.
Kieran McGuire's well taken goal was difference.
Certainly wound up the Bellshill boo boys who were on his back throughout, as he ran over cupping his ears.
Onto Ardeer on Saturday. Mon the Gow.
