I asked this question on Twitter as I honestly don’t know the answer. In games when VAR isn’t used, is level onside? Does the advantage go to the attacker? The answer to these questions used to be yes but now I honestly don’t know. If the rules have been changed do these changes only apply in games using VAR? Seems to me that different rules apply in different games. Surely that can’t be right
I seem to remember a Hu-ns goal given against Motherwell where the rangers player was slightly ahead "but the lines were touching" or some shite like that.

We need more sensible people thinking about this rather than the Facebook/Twitter crowd who think it's gonna be like cheating in Football Manager.

All falls back into the way the club is set up and the way the Chair/Former CEO held the WS in disdain. (IMO)2 -

Investor meeting
The Well Society board met with Erik Barmack last Sunday, during his visit to discuss potential investment in Motherwell Football Club with the Club Board and attend games at Fir Park.
The meeting allowed him to share a high-level outline of his vision and offer and gave us the opportunity to impress our thoughts on him over issues such as governance, finances, the valuation of the Club and the proposed level of shareholding.
We now await developments between the Club and Erik Barmack. Should discussions between those two parties lead to a formal proposal, we will formulate our position on whether we, as the elected representatives of The Well Society, believe an agreement would be beneficial to the Club.
We understand that there is a lot of uncertainty around the current situation as discussions continue. However, we would like to assure Well Society members, again, that if and when we have further information to share, we will do so. And, again, we stress that no change will happen to the Society's shareholding in the football club without approval from members.
For background, see the initial Club statement and a previous statement from The Well Society Board's response. Not seen the newsletter mentioned on here since Friday so while I've got 10 mins I thought I'd highlight it.
Seems like a heavily edited way of saying "Raise massive concerns". I'm not surprised.I know not much can be said about valuations and amounts of shares involved but if what ye hear is anywhere near, get it in the sea

Look at the channel name for Rangers v killie.
I see it now, though I am not sure how much of an "error" that will be. They might just use the Cricket channel to show it (504 on my box)

What am I missing, they showed it again there

Just as well Oli Shaw is absolutely feckless. Or tonight would have been a very frustrating watch / game.
Dundee were pretty decent and show they probably deserve top 6.
Dundee got the point they needed on Saturday (If Shaw scored & we'd won)

Rory Loy sounds close to tears as he talks about Rangers toiling tonight.
I'd heard decent thing about him as a media man but hearing this, f**k him. I am sick of these types.

I seem to be on the opposite side of the fence here.
I don't think he's awful but I don't think he's any better than the rest of them.0 -
Shaw is a useless c**t.

Jack Butland is pish

It's completely ridiculous that top 6 was a possibility for us until the last moment.
We've been so bad at times it's been unreal.
A good couple of games are due now. hopefully decent dates on the away days. Wee bit of sun afore the end of the season/rebuild etc.

Also can we stop hooking Davor as a standard option, we go to pieces every fucking time.

Vale is being played too wide and too deep. Needs to be right up beside Bair with Spittal in the 10 role behind them. We are taking any Vale goal scoring threat right out the team essentially playing as a second right back.
I mean Vale would have buried that Shaw chance that’s for sure.
It's amazing how people can see this yet SK insists on his weird 5-2-3 but with two wide players (Vale & Spittal). As you said tuck Spittal in behind and move Vale up front.
Also glad you two appreciate Davor, there's two or three other people who don't seem to.
In addition, Andy Halliday not very good? Quelle surprise!4 -

Not when the bold les came in no?
I can deny that was decent.
He however did what he said he would and helped the club transition to fan owned. Different scenario but I agree you got me.0 -

edit: although I assume by "taking the reigns" you mean majority control. That can get in the fucking sea.
This is another point, Unless the guy is a crackpot there is no reason investors wouldn't want control. Once we see the offer on the table I'll bet it results in majority shareholding for nowhere near enough cash.

Can anyone give me a positive long term outcome with regards to some out of nowhere foreign investor taking the reigns at a club in Scotland where there is almost no money to be made?

Yeah I wasn't sure about the uproar about the article either.

I get the impression from his interview it might be about following the journey of youth prospects.
This is the only way this guy can make money IMO taking a cut of the profits from the sale of youth (or any one really) players. We don't need more investments to do that.

Hope the [End section] have big banners telling these plums to chase themselves.

Agree here, I love Elizabeth Banks, She's an all time great yer right.
Someone on here (a well fan) used to love Scrubs (along with a few of us) but I can't mind who, sure they had Scrubs themed usernames2 -
Trying to separate politics from anything is a bit weird. Everything is political, I'd suggest the ownership of a club is very political.

On Derek's timeline there is a few WS tweets and they replies are moonhowling stuff

Just saw a reel of Andy Halliday trying to justify Fabio Silva getting that penalty.

I am not comfortable with this view.
Firstly on what "competing" actually means. Secondly on who said it and how it was put across at a time when they were pushing their agenda they'd been backed into.
Again I know nothing really other than what I see and read myself. I'm not very well versed in these things but I have my doubts.
