  1. According to Jum Spence on Twitter United had sold just under 17,000 at the close of business today. We'll sell about 22-23k in total imo.
  2. It's really encouraging to hear these sorts of numbers. I know people are unhappy with the pricing structure but it's the Scottish Cup final and it's between two clubs whose fans aren't going to ruin it so people will respond in their numbers.
  3. I'd be amazed if we sold more than 30,000 but you never know. Sponsors usually get about 10,000.
  4. Have these fuckin mutants no been exterminated off the face of the planet yet? Hurry up.
  5. A minter for the Hibees. Hearts fans will quite rightly now gloat forever.
  6. The club will be liquidated, there is no doubt in my mind about that. It's just a matter of how much groundwork Whyte has done to transfer assets for ease of starting a new club, as far as i can see.
  7. Just a pity they dropped Dravid twice on 42 or it could have been a lot better. England will still be delighted with the current position though.
  8. My local takeaway is doing a roaring trade this week. I've been there every night.
  9. Car snowed in, all buses off. Phoned my gaffer to tell him i couldn't come in but he said if i can't make it to PRI then i'm meant to go to Ninewells. Dinna fuckin think so somehow - Dundee isna Perth - just because i live in Dundee doesna mean Ninewells is on my doorstep, it's 3 fuckin miles away. If it's too dangerous for the posties to be out then i'll no be walking 3 miles fuckin anywhere. Back to bed.
  10. Cheers DN. Those were the ones that came up when i googled it. The Carn Dearg one seems to involve a lot of overnight stays (not something i'd be able to do regularly due to work/amateur football commitments) and it sounds like they usually want you to start in the summer so they can have a look at you first. I'll probably give the Caledonian gig a bash in January/February and see how it goes, then maybe have a look at the Carn Dearg club in the summer
  11. I used to do a spot of hillwalking in the BB when i was young. Really enjoyed it. The last few years i've tried to get out during the summer but i don't know that many routes, wasn't always available when my walking partner was available, not confident enough in the winter when the weather's bad so ended up only getting out 2-3 times a year and the whole persuit's kind of died a death. Does anybody know of any hillwalking clubs in Dundee that go out fairly regulary (monthly or maybe even twice a month) that are open to guests/potential new members? Not looking for anything mega-advanced although i wouldn't class myself as a beginner either. Any help would be appreciated
  12. More heavy snow forecast for Dundee at 3am. If the buses are aff then i'll no be able to get to work My car's been stuck in the street since the snow started.
  13. I had a few. I think it was either 1995 or 1996 that was really bad and we got a few days off. Still had to do my paper round though
  14. I stayed up to watch the cricket last night and near shat myself at the thunder. That's as loud as anything i've ever heard (the stuff at 5am). Never experienced thundersnow before. It's raining here now but the forecast overnight is way below zero. Glad i took Monday/Tuesday off work now.
  15. I've got a sair arm after my flu jab at work today
  16. Well played Morgan. Looked like it was gonna be in vain after 6-7 overs of Pakistan's innings though. Crucial double whammy from Broad with a trademark Collingwood special for the first one. Swann put the issue to bed with another stupendous exhibition of spin. I'm delighted England won the series because it would have been a travesty for Pakistan to go home with anything other than their own completely unjustified sense of indignation and general huff.
  17. Small world indeed! Just ask him about Ross and i'm sure he'll tell you all my deepest darkest secrets Ed's a good lad. I've known him for a few years, we had a mutual friend in our uni days. Play cricket with him most Tuesday nights (not seriously just for a laugh) and play 5-a-side football with him aswell. Top bloke and a cricket fanatic as you say. If you really want to rile him ask him if he's got Ashes tickets He moved heaven and earth to try and get them without luck. I got one after my football manager's mate pulled out of their big squad's trip down to Cardiff for the first test in July. Ed's face when I told him was a fuckin picture haha!
  18. Too easy even allowing for the slow pitch. But Chris Gayle wisnae wantin tae win anyway so there.
  19. Do you know Ed Taylor? Think it's Kirrie he plays for but i'm not sure. English lad, fast bowler?
  20. Bombay Bicycle Club - How Are You Canna wait for their album in July
