  1. Is this competition voluntary? I know it makes sense to enter it to get access to the SFA Cup - but the dates set aside for Junior Cup would be used by this cup instead - one or the other.
  2. I t will have had it's day when clubs no longer volunteer to enter it. But at the moment, its final attracts 4½K yet the South Challenge Cup only 799 (2022 finals).
  3. I'm led to believe this was true but apparently there is going to be some prize money this season. It still won't match the £12K minimum you get from the SJFA Cup though. Up until the West clubs joined the away clubs did not get a share of the gate money and that changed after one season. (Or was it two as the first season was cut short).
  4. Those clubs that are behind are there because they are taking part in the money-spinning SFA Cup and they've also volunteered to take part in the Scottish Junior Cup. You don't get it both ways.
  5. Very quick getting that table updated - I didn't even get a chance to put the last two games into the "Predictor" bit for a temporary table.
  6. Looks like they do it for all games - not just the SJFA Cup.
  7. As far as I am aware a Secretary can see the details for any match - who the ref and assistants were, who got booked and who scored - but they don't get the teamlines other than for their own games. Could that not be added as well. Then it would just be a case of looking up a players registration history and see if any of those clubs played a particular cup tie during the players spell there. From there they could check details of each match. Or is that too time consuming for the number of clubs involved. The SJFA can manage for their SJFA Cup. but there are far fewer teams.
  8. They are due to play Largs Thistle on the 8th - I would imagine if they reach the semi finals of the West Cup, that League game would be brought forward a week.
  9. That would make sense - unless he's wanting the final Saturday of the Premier season to have every team involved. Two weeks wages saved would be a reasonable sum.
  10. He must have read my post as the fixtures have now been filled in. Congratulations Gartcairn on beating Talbot in the West Cup ¼ final as I was sure the 8th April was semi final day..
  11. When are the fixtures for the 8th April being released and the fixtures for 29th April, what are they dependent on and so approximately when will they be known?
  12. I can understand what you mean. I remember in my youth not knowing which cup was which. There was the Junior Cup then everything else just blended into one. So I can understand if a player doesn't know if they've already played in a cup for their previous club. I see in the Juniors they can post the teamlines for Junior Cup games to be able to check.
  13. Is the opposition club not meant to report something like this to their opponents and/or ref before the game if they are aware of something? I remember Largs Thistle playing Talbot a few weeks before the Junior Cup final in 2019 and Largs had a player on the suspension list incorrectly. There had been frantic phone calls to find out situation. Talbot pointed this out to Largs before the game and were advised of the error.
  14. We demand a live video on YouTube as they come out.
  15. Or copying/pasting pdf document on website. I saw one of the examples talked about as I was confused about whose website I was on as I was visiting a few at the time. Not saying that can happen with all the documents but it has happened with some.
  16. Both clubs as far as I am aware have the same status at Holm Park. Clydebank aren't the tenants of Yoker but rather both of them the tenants of West Dunbartonshire Council. Interesting that Clydebank are the club that are licensed and not Yoker. EDIT : I wonder if someone will be along to point out it isn't just floodlights you need for a Licence.
  17. There's a full card of fixtures on that date but none (apart from 3rd/4th Division) for the following week.
  18. When's the next round and also the quarters of the South Region Challenge Cup? I'm assuming 18th March for the West and 8th April for the South.
  19. They were considering that but binned the idea before it even got to a vote. It was to be 5 years IIRC. Or maybe it was just floodlights.
  20. Darvel will end up stuck in the LL (maybe after promotion/relegation to/from, League 2). Is that their natural position minus sugar daddy?
  21. Agree with this - only problem is, do Talbot want to go up?
  22. In effect yes - as in the South there are only three Licenced clubs and they are all in the bottom half of the League.
