  1. Cos I was about 10 and didn't really get it. My brother explained after.
  2. I worked with Andy Graham for about a year when he was at Stirling. A genuinely top guy who, as you say, just loves football. Also, both Alphonse Areola and Jose Maria Gimenez are absolute top bois.
  3. When I was a youth, my friend asked me to play for the same team as him. As a Bino, I was excited about the fact that they were coached by Alex Bone. He started off by saying to my friend "is that the pape you were talking about" and was generally a bellend. I lasted two weeks before going back to my old team.
  4. I thought Whyte started the first fight very well but just got taken out by a peach of a shot after making a mistake. He was excellent last night, still windmills a bit but like was said above, is still showing signs of improvement. Povetkin did look a bit fucked, don't know if it was just age though. His footwork was really sloppy from the start. Hope he calls it a day now. Decent card actually, the Cheeseman fight was excellent and the Wardley stoppage bizarre. Molina looked like he wanted out and seemed like there was a clear leg sweep too.
  5. At least The Ghost of BARP is taking it well and not at all bothered about it.
  6. Thoughts and prayers with @Detournement/HB, @Stormzy and @ICTChris in these difficult moments.
  7. I don't think this is the the slam dunk the Tories think it is. If anything, it could galvanise the core vote of the SNP and urge them to get out in May. Is this really going to change the mind of anyone in serious numbers? Most independence voters still see her as the clearest figurehead to lead the movement and back her - Tories will want her out for the same reason, despite going very quiet when asked about clear cases of parliament being deliberately misled by their own party.
  8. Adam Brooks is a horrible c**t. Using anything he says is up there with Pandarilla sharing an article from Spiked tbh.
  9. I'm glad you got it in the end. I got the AstraZeneca vaccine in Spain on Friday and was absolutely fucked on Saturday. Like a cross between a monumental hangover and fever with an insane thirst, shivering as well as being knackered. Improved quite a bit on Sunday to the point of feeling mormal then crap again today to the point of thinking I was going to pass out on the way home as well as rapid changes in temperature. About three quarters of my workplace got it on Friday and a good chunk (roughly half) experienced something similar. I'm still delighted that I got it as it is clearly safe and these are just crappy side effects. Spain have now paused it for 15 days, meaning the rest of my colleagues won't be getting it for a while. On a side note, the administration of it here was mental. My appointment was 5.10 on Friday, turned up about half 4 and had to wait in a queue of over 1000 people before getting it about 7ish, with no one checking my appointment at all.
  10. A white IPA this afternoon, initial swig wasn't the best but improved greatly as the bottle went down.
  11. Absolutely shocked to see Throbber on the cans early and looking for attention. The police were clearly heavy handed last night. No surprise if you've lived in London for any long period of time to see the Met behaving that way. Also insane that Cressida Dick is still in a job (and indeed was promoted) after the murder of Jean Charles de Menezes and the smear campaign after.
  12. Morgan continuing his twitter breakdown (lashing out at the woke cancel culture lol) and his son getting in on it as well, praising Tucker Calrson as one of the "few brave voices left in the game." Any excuse to post this again:
  13. Off to get my injection in a couple of hours. Spain not using the AstraZeneca on over 55s now means they are firing it into all of us who work in schools. Life has a certain normality about it here - still have to wear masks and no large gatherings but can go for pints, meals, etc until 11pm and schools have been in full time since September. Grim reading seeing some people using job titles as an insult, btw.
  14. I had the Vocation Sour Ale with a pastrami sandwich the other night. Glorious. Couple of cans of this fella tonight.
  15. Huge win. Marcos Llorente the best player on the pitch again.
  16. The absolute state of @G51 on here the last couple of days. Fair play to Gerrard, Rangers have been good to watch this season and miles above everyone else. The fans, however, continue to prove themselves to be the (joint) lowest of the low.
  17. Yeah, it has gotten really tight at the top. Huge game for Atletico on Wednesday at home to Bilbao. A win there stretches the lead to 6 over Barcelona. Whilst the Benzema equaliser was disappointing, there was a clear improvement on Atleti from being at almost full strength for the first time in a long while. Trippier and Carrasco being back allowed Llorente to play in a more advanced role where he was fantastic again. They only had themselves to blame for dropping the late goal as the number of chances they had to kill off the game was crazy. Should be an interesting finish to the season anyway.
  18. Very much in the camp of "don't like the royals but utterly love dirty laundry being aired in public" for this one.
  19. I live in Spain, mate. Still wait on her giving me the call before I go out though, tbf.
  20. Always reassuring knowing that no matter how long you leave between visits to this thread @Todd_is_God, @Elixir and @Stormzy will be making utter fools of themselves.
  21. Really tightening up at the top now. Sevilla probably looking the best team in the league the last few weeks. Atleti could really do with getting everyone fit again and Trippier back. Yesterday just one of those days for them, stonewaller denied, levante keeper playing a blinder, hitting the post and a deflected goal. Have to love Morales at Levante though (and Levante in general) - one of the best, most entertaining players in the league.
