  1. That doesn't surprise me. The EoS needs to have a close look at the Dundonald set up. Yesterday's scenes were the worst I have witnessed in many a year. The actions of initially Brown (10) and Sinbanda (7) were catalyst to what then transpired. A situation worsened as players having to run a gauntlet from pitch to changing rooms - through Dundonald officials / supporters. A totally unacceptable situation and not something I would wish to witness again.
  2. Coming off the field to dressing rooms there wa no sterile area to split fans and players. This led to a bottleneck and allowed a volatile situation to become worse.
  3. Absolutely shocking scenes at the end. Dundonald number 10 assaults Cunningham then 7 (Sinbanda) steams in throwing haymakers from behind like an absolute coward. This results in both benches / teams getting involved. Unfortunately certain Dundonald officials looked to have further fueled the situation as players returned to the dressing rooms. With supporters trying to exit and at least one supporter being assaulted. A sad sight indeed - hopefully EoS take Dundonald to task.
  4. My first reaction was it was a penalty for Sauchie. Binnie had a number of first class saves. Allison and Skinner as a central defensive pair were flat footed by balls over the top, presenting Sauchie with quite a few chances. We also created chances for Sauchie when time and time againg caught in possession playing out from the back. Midfield was a dogged battle and whilst we continued to try and play, Sauchie were content to miss out midfield with a hoof and chase. Without Cunningham / Sneddon we didn't look as effective up front. Stowe was tatgetted every time he took possession. Heaver never clicked yesterday which is highly unusual.
  5. Totally agree, football is largely about community and belonging. To many teams built for egos.
  6. Unfortunately this is a recurring theme at this level of clubs taking money for short-term gain and ultimately ending in disaster. Syngenta being the latest victim. Maybe some sort of fit and proper rule or similar needs to be applied.
  7. Then the real issue is fixing the current LL - recent relegations have proved that relegated teams struggle in EoS. The whole principle is teams finding their level. The current LL is full of teams waiting to be relegated yet blocking below with only 1 team going down. Only Bo'ness in recent years have failed upon moving up to LL. Yet not many LL teams have succeeded back in EoS.
  8. The real problems I see are: Bottleneck from EoS, WoS and SoS to LL, only 1 promotion spot. There should be 1 relegation and 1 play-off spot (a natural semi final with 3 league winners and 2nd bottom LL - both finalists filling LL spots). Tayside question / midland league needs sorted. I think Colt clubs, shouldn't be included automatically in LL unless there is a proper pathway below to get into LL.
  9. A real schoolboy error by FC Edinburgh if they failed to book a park. An enjoyable game, one which any neutral would have struggled to tell which team played SPFL and which played EoS.
  10. Honorable mention to Heaver as well, he tormented them all night. A solid performance from all.
  11. Not to be, a great first half but unfortunately we didn't capitalise on our big chance. Raith controlled the 2nd half and ran out deserved winners. All the best to Raith
  12. Congratulations to Raith, on balance the result is true reflection of the overall game. First half, I thought the Rose were outstanding without any real bite in the final third. If Stowe scores his chance, plus our strong penalty claim then it could have been a different story. 2nd half Raith showed the difference between Championship and EoS. As for the referee he tried to let the game flow and in doing so was penalising fouls he had let go moments earlier. Like the Rose his last appearance in this year's Scottish. Thanks to Gavin and his fellow Raith supporters who gave the bowling club a good turn before the game. Hopefully the young Raith fan who took the hit from the ball is OK it looked a sore one. Hopefully see you all next season and 3rd time lucky
  13. Examples of pricing in Germany / England are just a red herring. They aren't reliant on gate money as a major source of income, as TV money and sponsorship are mind boggling in comparison to Scotland.
  14. You could breathe on the pitch after a few shandies - that could work.
  15. I think you can take it for granted that it will be Tuesday at the earliest. Pitch still has a covering of snow and likely to be frozen underneath. I can't see the weather in the next 24 hours helping enough to get the game on
  16. It's highly unlikely to be on - despite best attempts by all at Linlithgow. Mother nature looks to have won on this occasion. However that said the final call can't be made until Saturday morning by I'm assuming the match official. In which case game rescheduled for Tuesday 24th January with a 7.45 pm kick off.
  17. The boy isn't the full shilling and most people just laugh at him.
  18. Rescheduled game would be 7.45 pm on Tuesday 24th January
  19. Linlithgow Bowling Club is approx 500 yards from ground situated behind West Port Hotel on the High Street. You will be assured a great welcome, top buffet and cheapest drink in town. Bar open from noon on Saturday.
  20. Glad our visit to Inverkeithing is over for another year, I'm not a fan of plastic parks in soulless surroundings. Add in a howling bitter wind and I've had better Saturdays. Added together it served up a poor watch, with Linlithgow playing what little football on offer. Therefore absolutely delighted to come away with 3 points. Now we can look forward to the Scottish against Raith. HTG
  21. I never at anytime predicted doom and gloom. However I did point out we hadn't exactly set the heather alight in December - losing to LTHV (albeit awarded points) and losing to lower league opponents in friendlies. Yesterday we showed a perfect attitude and were unlucky that we only won 5-1.
  22. Rules are rules and definitely an Xmas gift of 3 points. LTHV were deserved winners on the day, a lesson we must learn from.
  23. Rose v Tynecastle scheduled for tomorrow night has been postponed due to weather.
  24. Can someone clarify why WoS clubs can still participate?
