  1. Correct - so you addressed that and improved and are trying to thrive. Other clubs are happy to get past the following week. What benefit do they bring? Sometimes you need to be tough and say look enough.
  2. No that's purely my opinion. I have always believed we have far to many teams in Scotland at all levels. Teams who take more from the game than they contribute. Brutal but the benefits of losing teams would hopefully see a better quality at all levels.
  3. Exactly my point - you don't progress if clubs not meeting required standards are not taken to task. Why set standards that aren't adhered to. That's a good start of culling the waste.
  4. Would either of these teams grounds meet the required standards to be accepted to juniors? The problem you have is the amount of teams junior and EoS (in general) who are really glorified amateur teams. Maybe there should be a full audit on all teams against the set criteria of respective league's. Teams failing to meet or gain the correct criteria within a set period are put to a more appropriate level.
  5. It certainly is - but unfortunately faced with a top game on Sky or making the efforts on a chilly winters day to go and watch. Pretty clear what most folk are choosing. TV football is killing the game on a Saturday afternoon - for many teams at all levels.
  6. I always felt given his prominence within the SFA that TJ was very much a company man. Which suggests that the SFA don't see anything not linked to the LL being of any importance. Maybe that explains the perceived lack of leadership being shown to move the juniors forwards. Further proof being not allowing Kelty to be licenced outside the EoS feeder league. Linlithgow being an exception before the goalposts were changed (but for how long).
  7. He wasn't played properly by either Mcglynn or Lumsden. Based on that alone agree he didn't always look great. However in the games under Bradley played in a 4-4-2 he looked a better player. He needs someone alongside him to do the donkey work and running about - get him the ball in the box he will get you goals.
  8. Don't worry matey - McGlynn and Harkins will get their just desserts.  Plenty people still on the case to ensure that happens

Not a surprise that some get distracted by the football.   That always tends to be the case -  but McGlynn will muck up very quickly and ensure that the focus comes right back to his inability!!!

The 1st half decent team (Beith) ran them ragged.  Other than Gray and the return of Hamill the others don't looking anything special or close to what he has lost.

Unless he picks up players today or tomorrow we reckon he has 12 players for Saturday

Fair play big fella I've not a bad word agst the team but for Mcglynn he's a self centred arsehole and ten faced b*****d and I won't miss him when I catch up with him,Harkins as well,I'm away from it now and Alex back at Bonnyrigg so I'll no doubt catch up with you soon.

  9. Yes I do know that - my first point was always a jovial one - showing that the process was never a open and shut case.
  10. Its still 2 judgements to 1 in favour of Rangers over HMRC. HMRC pursued a case they could never win other than in principal and at what expense to the Tax Payers? The defendants in this case don't exist HMRC saw them liquidated by turning down the CVA That decision resulted in many people losing any chance of some return on the money they were due and in the process HMRC have spent thousands if not millions in legal fees to pursue justification over any hope of recovery. HMRC stood back for years and happily allowed Rangers and other clubs to use EBTs - these were shown in club accounts which HMRC had access to. So if anything this judgement only show how incompetent HMRC really are.
  11. You miss a very important point though - Rangers still had to score to win so other than the semi-final which went to penalties Rangers had to show something over the 180 minutes to win their games. But yes I agree that these games were often not great to watch. But last night at no point in a 90 minute knockout did Livingston show any desire to try and win the game. I think in 90 minutes the twice you kicked off were the only times you passed forward (other than a keepers kick out) Also you fail to address the callous tackling throughout that a stronger ref would have dealt with - the first tackle in the game could easily have been a red card
  12. I very rarely criticise opponents. But guys that was one of the most disgraceful displays I have seen from any team in over 40 years - a team who in 90 minutes showed little or no ambition other than to play for penalties - by hook or crook. Performances like that are what chases people from football. Rant over.
  13. Unconfirmed suggestions on social media that Charles Green has been arrested in France
  14. According to sources the permission from the board was provided via Llambias and Leach (2 required signatories) The Board subsequently made a statement suggesting that no deal had been agreed with anyone - but interestingly failed to contradict the actions of Llambias and Leach. The latter statement is being seized upon both by the 3 Bears and Rangers Supporters Trust as grounds for a legal challenge against the board for misleading the Stock Exchange.
  15. Given the restrictions on numbers in the Linlithgow Rose Social club - we can also accommodate Raith fans at Linlithgow Bowling Club - which is around 750 yards from the park (behind the West Port hotel on the High Street.) If any bus wishes to book in please PM me and you will be assured a warm welcome.
  16. Information relating to the Scottish and reasoning for bringing the kick off forward to 2 pm. http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/local-football/fans-to-pay-on-the-gate-for-linlithgow-rose-v-raith-1-3574415
  17. What specific rules do you refer? As I said Linlithgow have dual membership and achieved the appropriate ground standard required by the SFA. So therefore meet the entry criteria set by the SFA and what their members approved. Football is changing so surely any improve be must be welcomed?
  18. From next season you will require a licensed ground via the SFA to participate - Linlithgow already have achieved this criteria and with this dual membership of both SJFA and SFA.
  19. Having a crowd watching you in the first place would help - probably why you are struggling with the concept! The introduction of the top junior clubs has enhanced the SFA Cup - ask QOS what a home tie against Linlithgow meant who took over 1000 to Dumfries.
  20. You will have no such issues at Linlithgow - the Rovers fans who travel will be made most welcome around Linlithgow in our fine hostelries. We are very much a family club and attract a wide range of ages - with loads of kids from the community club which we are part of proudly wearing their Rose strips. Bo'ness are a poor example especially in bigger games attracting a ned element who let them down constantly much to their normal supports embarrassment. Looking forward to having a go at decent opposition and who knows?
  21. Google it - don't be lazy. The BBC were quick enough to investigate Rangers yet they refuse to investigate the evidence of clear conflicts of interest between key personnel openly involved with both Celtic and Footballing authorities. Relegate Celtic to the 3rd Division and allow the rest of Scottish Football to move forward without either pulling the strings
  22. Must admit, I thought the same as yourself until you make a quick check via google and it largely pans out as correct.
