  1. Caley have just been too clinical. I can't remember them wasting much. I don't think we've been too bad. We're just being beaten by a better team.
  2. I wasn't a fan of the Duolingo stuff because it didn't seem to have much of a structure. The SpeakGaelic course I've found so far to be very good.
  3. This is great, thanks. Yeah I'd love to find an evening class nearby but haven't been able to find one so far, but is's definitely on my to-do list.
  4. I started learning Gaelic a wee while ago. By no means fluent but I'm getting pretty decent at the basics. It's a really nice-sounding language. I've wanted to learn it for years but only recently got around to it. I'm using the SpeakGaelic platform that's run by the BBC and Scottish Government. There are programmes on the iPlayer and YouTube and a Podcast as well. Any Gaelic speakers on here, or is anyone else trying to learn it?
  5. I generally don't like criticising individual players too much after a defeat, but on watching back the highlights at 6:34 - 6:39 it looks like Brad McKay fails to cut out a simple pass from the Edinburgh player that leads to their goal. Perhaps I'm being harsh and the ball was further away from him than it looks - it looks like it should have just been a simple interception.
  6. I don't think anyone is calling for the manager to be sacked, are they? For me it's the opposite. I've seen enough with McGlynn to believe that with a bit of time he will get it right. I didn't see anything like that with any of the previous 4 or 5 managers.
  7. For me, the difference between McGlynn and the previous group of shysters we've had in charge is that I can actually see we've got potential to get better. With M&M, I was hugely skeptical from the outset and knew we were headed for eventual collapse. With both Rennie and Sheerin they should have been emptied after about six games as it was painfully obvious they weren't cut out to be football managers. With McGlynn, I am reasonably confident that with a good pre-season, a few new faces we'll be capable of winning this league outright next season. That's why he has to stay, for now. I think there's absolutely no chance of us being successful in the playoffs / semi-final, however.
  8. I wouldn't get rid. But he absolutely has to get it right this summer / next season
  9. I read this as "philpy" which made it much funnier
  10. Anyone know anyone in Falkirk who can give a setup to an acoustic guitar? I know there's a guy in the studio at the back of Auntie Kate's. I used him last year and he was excellent, however he is always mega busy so there was a long turnaround.
  11. Was saying to my mates last night that I genuinely believe not having a bulk of the squad made up of players from Rangers and Celtic helps us massively. There isn't an undercurrent of rivalry as I felt has been the case before.
  12. That's a better result than the France win for me.
  13. M&M's pre-Holt lot were also shit but made to seem better by everyone else being a bit more shit. As soon as everyone else started being a bit less shit the squad were found out to be the utter charlatans they were.
