  1. You can add the other 9 players in our team who never looked up to much in the 4 games vs Ayr.
  2. Ha, I made the exact same Chewin' The Fat reference to my auld boy! Sadly, their sideline antics were the only form of entertainment on show today. A game to forget.
  3. Thistle worthy of the lead at HT to be fair. We haven't been at he races so it will be interesting to see if Rhys makes any changes at the break. As a side note, no need for a flux capacitor in this place!
  4. A pretty shitty draw as others have mentioned but we have a chance to progress, given our home form. St Johnstone away in 1990 was one of the first games I remember as a young 7 year old, albeit that was a league match I think. Weirdly, one of the main things I remember that day was how the goal posts at McDiarmid were big, fat square efforts. Well that and the Stevie Gray wonder strike
  5. I think i was sitting behind the fella with the moonboot on at the Raith game at Starks. Probably just a friend or a family member.
  6. The boys will feel unfortunate to go in a goal down at HT. A couple of worldies from Dabrowski there.
  7. We were utter dugmeat in the first half and probably deserved to go in one nil down. Second half was better. We got a lot of joy down the right side with Megwa (my MOM by a country mile) albeit the final delivery could have been better. The penalty was a stonewaller for me and a disgrace that Frizz got booked for diving. That said, ICT seemed to have a decent shout for a pen at the other end. There has a lot been made about our style of play this season. On the whole, I am enjoying the style of play, but I have noticed a big drop off in the urgency of our play as the season has went on. Rhys has been very vocal about 'playing through the lines' at the start of the season and I think we done that very quickly at the start of the season. However, I feel as the season has gone on, we have lost this ability. Now our possession play lacks any urgency, and is pretty f**king turgid at times. No need to panic just yet but there's definitely a need for a bit more energy and movement going forward.

  9. Whilst I don't think we were at our free flowing best today, that was a million miles better than last week's 'performance'. Fair play to McCabe for having the humility to drop himself in favour of Aiken this week. I'm a huge fan of Rhys but I think the trio of Aiken, McMaster and Frizzell is our best midfield partnership. Cammy was a rock for us at the back and very deserving of him MOM award. Hancock was solid too. I'm a big fan of Scott Brown but he looked miles off it today against our young 'uns in the middle of the park. Easton was fairly invisible for most parts too but I liked the look of the boy Stanton. Happy to scoop up the 3 points in what I thought was a fairly even contest.

  11. There was one absolute cretin a few rows behind me who gave Hancock pelters for the majority of the first half. I was surprised as it seemed to spread through a bit more of the support as the half wore on, culminating in the sarcastic cheering you mention. Bang out of order.
  12. We're an absolute stick on not to find the onion bag at Tannadice now

  14. You've clearly been watching a different game to me over the past few weeks to suggest McMaster gets dropped. Boy's been different class. He should 100% start on Saturday, irrespective of opposition.
  15. I'm seeing this one as a bit of a free hit to be honest. McCabe will have different ideas I'm sure, and I'm 100% here for the ride.
  16. Time will tell I suppose. From what I could see, he done a bit of work to bulk up physically in the off-season last year and became a more rounded player as a result. He always had talent, just lacked that wee bit of physicality (only natural for a young lad of that age). We do have another young buck pulling the strings in midfield these days. Twice the player Devenny is for my money.
  17. Shaping up to be an interesting tie here. County seem to have started positively in the league and will be looking to take that early form into Saturday. What's the sketch with Dhanda? Will he be sidelined for Saturday following his injury on Saturday? He was a standout from what I seen of the playoffs. Turner is more than a decent replacement though! For us, a similar performance from the one we put in against Thistle will do nicely and might see us take another Premier League scalp.
  18. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I think our home form will be key this season. We put most teams to the sword at home in League One, but it's a big step up to Champsonship quality opposition. I'm intrigued about Partick this year. My initial thoughts were that it might be a long hard season for them after so cruelly missing out on promotion, and then losing key players like Turner, Docherty and Tiffoney. However, they still have a very good young manager in Doolan and the addition of McInroy is a great bit of business. They'll cause us plenty of problems in the wide areas but expect we'll have plenty of chances at the other end too (even with Gabby and Todorov sidelined). Should be a cracker.

  20. Agree - better than last years away top and equally as nice as last years 3rd kit. I like it.
  21. I'm clearly forgetting a few of these will be home games, so it's unlikely that I'd get to visit those three grounds in any case. 40/42 is impressive. Do you think you'll try and visit Elgin and Bonnyrigg as a neutral to tick them off, or wait in the hope of an Airdrie cup draw?
  22. Ross County, Annan and Bonnyrigg Rose purely just to tick another 3 off the 42. Not fussed on pots 2 and 3. Maybe Accies and Falkirk for old times sake
  23. Still well and truly revelling in Saturday's momentous victory. My old boy sent me this yesterday which I thoroughly enjoyed. Through the eyes of a ground hopping neutral...
  24. It says here that Falkirk TV are streaming it live: https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2023/05/11/matchday-guide-falkirk-v-airdrieonians-2/ However, I don't see a direct link to the stream. It's worth keeping an eye on the Falkirk TV page in the run up to kick off tomorrow. Here's the link: https://www.falkirkfc.tv/
