Having resisted getting glasses for years cause I felt I just had a bit of bother reading signs etc at a distance I picked up my first pair yesterday and it's like suddenly looking at the world in HD
Can't believe the difference.
I might not have to ask Ned Jnr what's happening up the other end of the pitch anymore.
You've got to give these chumps a certain level of credit - they're voluntarily marching through the streets so that everyone can point-and-laugh at them.
As someone who checks and double checks reviews before parting with just a couple of quid online I genuinely can't get over folk reading that pish and chucking hunners of pounds at it.
That's what I'd go for - an exact rebuild of the Brockville enclosure - not sure if I'd make it all home support or go for the same split as before with away fans on the other side of the fence - happy days.
Do Stenny still have our old roof btw?
I didn't listen to the podcast so don't know Sammy's take on events but it was always my opinion that Duffy thought he was a shoe in for the vacant Thistle job so Salcoats became a very convenient way for him to free himself up
Imagine paying £35 a head or whatever on an event you'd only seen AI images of and then thinking you're a smart arse when you realise why there had only ever been AI images of it!
FWIW - I missed the Clydebank game cause I was away at sea with the Navy, we had to wait until the wee small hours for the scores to be pinned up on a noticeboard and the wait was un-fucking-bearable - hardly ate a thing!
Happy days indeed
I know this thread's primarily about the building group but my favourite Stuart Milne thing is when he exited Hampden close to tears because Stuart Gilmour & Roy Mcgregor scuppered his league reconstruction hopes
And they only managed it because Stuart Milne himself kyboshed scrapping the 11/1 vote
What a fucking tool.
Glorious:
Found it - 2004/5
St Mirren halted an unbeaten at home season with Queens making it two home defeats a couple of weeks later in the last game of the season.
I have a vague memory of a 'near-thing' unbeaten season that St Mirren ended - my half-arsed googling hasn't thrown anything up though (I guess it must've been an 'unbeaten at home' run if anything )
**I'm in no way suggesting we'll manage to go the rest of this season unbeaten of course**
