  1. I was more wondering what MB mind thought would be. What will he do. I think he will go not to lose rather than going to win it
  2. So what is your and the managers mindset for saturday? Is it a must win or must not lose game? I see it as a must win to put a gap between Stirling and us and if we fail to win we have another two chances. A win piles the pressure onto Stirling and Annan. However I think MB will play it safe and try to be secure at the back, even giving up possession in order to frustrate Stirling and hope to nick a goal for a point or 3. We had two up front on saturday but I think MB will revert back to a sole striker on saturday
  3. Thoughts Queens did OK first half but a real lack of confidence in front of goal always wanting that extra touch rather than taking shot first time, several players were guilty of this. Started second half strongly too. Where was Connelly today? I also expected Mcguffie to start after last week but not even in the squad.
  4. Communications are really poor - where were Connelly, Mclellend and McGuffie today - suspended, injured, fallen out with manager or signed pre-contacts. I hard all 4 today Saying that thought playing with a straight front today worked better and McKay was my MOM as kept the tall Edinburgh forward in his pocket all day and scored a set piece goal to ae the last 8 mins more enjoyable
  5. I think set up of team is more for playing away from home than at home. The play is slow and all about keeping possession and playing safe. Doing that a way is easier than at home. We struggle to break teams down at home when they sit in but its easier to pick teams off when they show a bit of attacking intent
  6. Are any highlights of the offside or goals available?
  7. i've said it before but is all this game plan about preventing the opposition from playing/scoring rather than what we can do to try and attack and score. Don't like the term must win but I think next week is a must win. Win it and we stand a chance of finishing 8th with Annan still to play Stirling but lose it and I cannot see where we get our next point
  8. Two things for me today and I know its ifs but if Connelly goal had stood it would have changed the momentum for the second half - was he off side I couldn't really tell and no one has commented on here about it. Secondary we shot from outside the box and got a deflected goal, game changer, game on, heads up. What happens we make 3 changes and change system at the back. Horrendous defending allowed kelty player to waltz through our defence from the left wing, it just kept opening up in front of him but a great save from Stone. It would have been a great goal from kelty viewpoint. The resultant corner , Stone seemed to have it but didn't keep it then it should have been cleared. I'm thinking players did not know what they were doing , nothing new there, but changes didn't help and he should have held off 5-10mmins after scoring
  9. Top end of the league - Looks like Inverness may be in playoff with Hamilton and two others. If Hamilton go up then inverness come down; if inverness stay up then Hamilton remain for next season. If one of the other two teams win the playoff then we could have Hamilton and inverness next season. If we stay in the league then things will just be as tough next season having got rid of Falkirk
  10. Is that the first time we have been unchanged this season? Makes a difference when you have a settled team. Shame we have to make changes next week
  11. All we can do is win our games. It would be a lot worse if we had lost today as everyone predicted
  12. I think Bartley is a fantastic manger. He spends every week coming up with game plan, then speaks to the players individually and collectively on how to implement this wonderful game plan. He will even practice the routines with our players who are not playing as the opposition. What he fails to see is that the opposition manager, teams and players will have their own game plan that won't match what he has told his player to do. In interview he talks about situational plays in area of the field, how does he know what the opposition player will do, players should have the freedom to express themselves when situations arise so as a game is unpredictable. It seems MB wants to micro manager everything and this brings fear into our players and makes them play safe and backwards
  13. How many more points do you see us winning this season? I don't really know where they will come from but I think 5 with one win and two draws. If I am accurate Annan would need to win 3 matches to overtake us
  14. there were a few things that impressed me yesterday, and I'm not talking about the football. Firstly stewards outside the ground were friendly then once in the ground first thing you come across is selling half time tickets (never won); the ground was tidy, nice clean barriers and solid concrete, seating was comfortable; I too noticed the attack attack at start of the game getting crowd and players motivated. You could here the team announcement and the half time draw winners and each sub clearly. Food was fine. Clearly doing the basics well Toilets were dreadful.
  15. Would you have Willie Gibson back as manager? He ran and controlled the game today, maybe easier when you are not player manager. Thought it was funny when he came over to take a corner first half and he got a few shouts of gaffer and was engaging in match chat with our support at the corner flag. We finished the game how we should have started with a 442 when Docherty and Reilly both up front, didn't see the 2 in first half with Connolly playing behind Reilly and not getting close enough. Compare that with Goss and Smith, much closer. MB plays a system and believes in a system whether it works or not and won't change it until late on in games when we are chasing. He could have changed it at half time but instead went for a like for like change when switching to a front two may have been better. Also disappointed with MB at full time, after abuse he received didn't expect him to come over and acknowledge the fans but he walked into pitch 20 yards and then just stared at his players as they walked past, thinking who he was going to blame
  16. Plenty Hamilton fans complaining about him being a striker but cannot remember Hamilton supporters saying he ever played wide right. I thought first was a well worked goal. A delightful well placed and weighted pass inside our defender then a nice chipped/lobbed cross that gave Goss an easy header to score. Something we can never do.
  17. Nice touch getting QOS email today (first one this season) with thanks for attending with link following the monthly newsletter last week. Communications are improving
  18. I'm not convinced that Stone's challenge was a penalty. I thought it looked like we were getting free kick and surprised when pen was given. When Jack went down injured it seemed trainer told MB that he was finished. Why di MB not get Efe stripped then instead of waiting until Jack walks off the pitch calls Efe over then complains to ref that he couldn't put on a replacement. Did the same thing not happen when Kyle went down injured. i thought there was a signal ti bench to say he couldn't continue but still no change. Kyle went off soon after. When a player goes down injured should the subs not come back to be bench and be ready to strip to come on Thought it was comical when linesman didn't realise Stirling payer had left the field and was sitting on the bench and he's looking for a player to leave the field
  19. Should be a big crowd tomorrow - saturday afternoon at 3pm, no rugby on Tv, not clashing with ice hockey, board deciding to step down, promise of hot pies and bovril what's not to like
  20. How many shareholders have more than 250 shares?
  21. not sure that will make much difference. we have lost more than 700 fans over the past few years and that hasn't made much difference so whats another 700
  22. Did we really only have two shots on target again today at home in a must win match?
