Any sign of yesterday's highlights anywhere yet?

Could be a lot of folk reading far to much in to the team selection (me included), I'd rather we managed Murphy instead of him breaking down and missing last 5 games, McGinty and Dempsey could have a knock for all we know the only only one I think he's bombed out the team due to not fitting in or performance is Chalmers
There's a couple of folk who seem to not have taken to Brown at all. I find it puzzling.

I see Steven Whittaker is apparently going to be an assistant coach for the Scotland u21s. Does he not have enough work to do for Ayr?

I think he’s the best keeper at the club and playing someone else looks like someone is trying to prove a point.
This is a super-aggressive position to take. For me, you could reasonably argue for any of the three senior goalkeepers at the club to start when fit.

Re: Charlie - sounds like he was unhappy at being told at the last minute he wasn't playing at Ibrox after being in the original lineup and bringing family and pals up to watch. Was then offered a new deal and said no and has now been told he won't start again and is now looking for a new club back in England.
Footballers are so emo.

If we don't pick up a good chunk of points this month then it's squeaky bum time with the fixtures we have next month.
And I can't see us picking up anything from Morton even if they have dipped. Pretty sure they were on rancid form one of the times we've already played them this season, much worse form than they're in now.
I'm sure at one point they'd beaten us twice and the rest of the league combined just once

There was also a kids program circa late 80’s early 90’s that was based in Scotland and had a wee guy in it whose bedroom was adorned by Ayr United posters/flags etc.

Separately, I think the break before the next game will supersede any knee jerk decisions. I'd expect Brown to work on things over the next couple of weeks and pick the team based on how that goes.

It would be nice to have a player who could drop into a back three when play is in our defensive third and step up to make a three man midfield when we're further up the park.

Not convinced Chalmers has been dropped. He missed one game with an injury and was back on the bench this week. That's fairly standard. If he doesn't start the next game that's when it becomes an issue.

I thought it was noticeable in the first half yesterday that McGinty receiving the ball from Sanders or Clarke seemed to trigger the Dunfermline press. Suggests they had spotted something in preparing for the game.

McKenzie has more to his game right now than Bryden.

Nice to see a McGinty special for old times sake

Bryden daydreaming
Bryden has contributed less than zero today. Not been his day at all.

Feeble defending on that corner

One day Ayr will learn how to take and receive a throw in without putting themselves under pressure.

It's McKenzie so probably wouldn't have scored but that's a shocker of a free kick award there
Just had to roll it to Dowds for a tap in

Never in a million years was that a foul

I'm still not a fan of this red kit

You play Dowds. He's our best striker and he's been playing well.

Think Yilmaz is a bit beyond our reach.
Ironic, given that most things are beyond his reach.

That penalty decision is bad enough that the referee must surely be demoted back to the pub leagues?
Can't even figure out what he thought he saw.
