There’s really no point being negative about this signing. The market we’re shopping in of course we are never going to be affording a ready made experienced striker that will guarantee us goals. We were always going to need to take a chance on someone loan or a young boy like this. Anyone who seriously thought we were bringing in Adam Rooney is a fucking idiot. As has been said we need to trust McGlynn. He’s not given us any reason not to so far and also with Stephen McGinn playing and training with him last season I’m sure he knows his qualities and has been speaking to McGlynn about him as well.

I agree that it was hard to pick a MoM today. Really could’ve been any one of McKay, Donaldson, McGinn or Yeats.

Still a lot of work to do with our attacking play of course but it’ll come. McGlynn has a massive job on his hands after how dogshit we were last season it takes time to completely turn that around.

Incredibly harsh on Nesbitt and Hetherington there. Both having good games imo. Nesbitt is back looking like the player that started last season always wanting the ball and mooing to make things happen aye his passing isn’t great but the desire is there. Hetherington playing really well on the right of the diamond broke up play a good few times and is getting forward in support.

Draw definitely fair result so far here. Both teams having some decent play without making either keeper make a proper save. We all know we’re missing an end product and fire power up front but think all 4 of our midfielders are playing well here. Playing a diamond with Oliver and Morrison up top and I think it’s getting the best out of the 4 of them so far. Finn Yeats is an absolute baller though.

I love McGeough as a player, always thought he stood out at Hibs but he’s had a very poor time at Aberdeen. He’ll no doubt get a club higher up the pyramid than us but even so with Stephen McGinn we don’t really need him. I don’t think he’d add anything to us that McGinn doesn’t tbh and I actually think Hetherington is doing s good job of being the legs in midfield alongside McGinn who just controls games.

Pretty poor so far in all honesty. Clyde started the better team and have looked a lot more impressive than I thought they would be. We’re getting a lot of joy in the channels and we should be looking to get their 2 immobile centre backs turned at any opportunity. Leon McCann coming on at half time should help give us more going forward as neither Mackie or Williamson have offered anything in that sense so far.

It’s the same c**t that’s screaming to ‘get the ball forward’ every 2 minutes and goes mental any time we play a backwards pass. Absolute weapon.

Completely disagree with that. The job of a striker isn’t just to score goals and especially in the system that McGlynn plays. I’ve seen Oliver getting quite a bit of stick so far and although I’d agree that he should be in the box more his hold up and link up play is brilliant. He never gives defenders a break, he’s very good with his back to goal and bringing the attacking midfield 3 into the game.

He’s a player that McGlynn had at Raith so absolutely trust his judgement. He’s just came off the back of 2 fairly poor loan spells last season so let’s hope he uses this as motivation to kick on. Number 73 though ffs.

Nah there’s 1 less second place team qualifying due to the extra team in Europe so 8 points isn’t going to be enough. There will be teams not qualifying on 9 so we won’t have a chance with 8 if we got there.

That was a pretty pish game of football. 2 teams both with f**k all up front and neither ever looked like they were going to score. Thought we played some doesn’t stuff at times but until we can get some more players in it’s hard to see just where goals are going to come from. Thought Henderson was our best player until his red card. McGinn strolled it even when he went to centre back, Yeats done well enough at right back few dodgy moments in the second half but overall very impressive, we certainly didn’t miss Williamson anyway. PJ done well at the shoot out diving the right way 4 times and then saving from Kabia but he gives me the fear from cross balls constantly glued to his line. Also disappointed with Mackie his final ball was very poor and positionally he was all over the place at times. Minter from the Morton fans singing the name of a wife beating c**t moments after he got sent off for a disgusting tackle.

His attempts to get back in after he’s ran forward as well are utterly pathetic.

Henderson can cover left back but I’d be surprised if he’s ever played right back in his life. Our right back options at the moment are Williamson who we all know is horrendous, Brad McKay [emoji23] and Yeats who apparently played a couple of highland league games there but from what we’ve seen of him looks a cracking prospect in midfield. After getting the strikers in getting another right back should be our next priority imo.

Aye even although he was an absolute abomination as a manager it’s more of Holt than Rennie the absolute state of the squad we’ve been left. Didn’t understand signing Finlay Malcolm on a 2 year deal but he’ll be on buttons compared to the likes of Ross, Wilson, Hetherington that we’re lumbered with this season and won’t be able to shift.
