  1. Really hope with Henderson being fit again doesn’t mean Leon McCann will get dropped again. He’s been absolutely class the last few weeks probably our best player since he came back into the team and from what we’ve seen so far he’s a much better left back than Mackie. I’d also hope he keeps Oliver playing in the middle of the park. Really like what I’ve seen from him this season although it’s clear he’s not a striker but had his best game for us so far playing as a number 8 last week and more than deserved to keep his place.
  2. Fat Luca Gasparotto attempting to play right-back in that first game still gives me nightmares.
  3. Genuinely don’t know how there could be any other answer tbh.
  4. Seeing Miller pishing himself laughing on the sideline as we bent over for Celtic in that game had me absolutely seething. 0 shots at goal ffs.
  5. He’s absolutely fucking dreadful. Genuinely surprised he’s not just chucked it in the summer there. He’s unbelievably slow and positionally all over the place. He played him left back, left of a back 3, middle of a back 3, left sided centre half in a 4 and left wing back. He was hopeless in each position. I know money seems to be tight for you guys this season but if you can’t find better him I’d be worried.
  6. Great performance again. Deservedly got the 3 points and in all honesty should’ve been a lot more. Not a lot more to say about the ‘stadium’ that’s not already been said but what an absolute dreadful place to watch football. You’ll do well to find a worse ground at any level of the game. Coupe of changes from last week and a slight change of formation. Nesbitt and Oliver both playing as number 8’s with McGinn as a 6 and Oliver was brilliant playing that bit deeper. McGuffie and Morrison on opposite wings and despite what’s happened in other games this season they stayed to their side and didn’t switch which for me was smart from McGlynn as Morrison had the right back on toast the full game. Yeats as always just slots seamlessly into the back 4. I’ve still yet to be convinced by Hogarth, his kicking his awful, but did make a great double save in the first half after a Mackie mistake. On Mackie he was very poor today. Full of errors and another day he would cost us. On the goals. The first was hard to see due to it being on the other side of the stadium but I’m not too sure how it got into the net. Was a bit of a weak shot from Morrison that took a deflection and didn’t look like it would have the pace to trouble the ‘keeper but somehow squeezed in. The second was a really good team goal. We kept the ball alive and played a few passes around until it came to Oliver just inside the box and he was never missing. The third was great play by a couple of subs, Pearse Carroll ripping the pish in the middle of the park then sending a beautiful ball over the top of Fontaine for Burrell who ran on to it shrugged of the defender to keep composed and finish it off. Always happened again a few minutes later again Carroll sending Burrell through who this time squared to Morrison who with an open goal and around 3 yards out for some reason went for power and smashed it into the side netting. No idea how it was possible. I thought Alegria had a much better game. Done really well up against Fontaine his hold up play was vastly improved but with Burrells performance after coming on it’s hard not to start him next week. Like I said earlier Gary Oliver was great and would’ve been my MoM if not for Leon McCann. If there’s still anyone that doesn’t rate him then you’re fucking deluded. Boy is absolutely class. Brings us so much in an attacking sense always willing to take players on and provide an option and has the engine to get back in as well and defensively he’s absolutely fine.
  7. If it’s Coll Donaldson or Sean Mackie we’re fucked.
  8. Where we belong [emoji23]. Load of absolute shite. We are currently exactly where we belong and deserve to be.
  9. What a boy Tommy Tackle was. Wee bit injury prone but always done some graft in midfield and of course loved a slide tackle. Even done a solid job for us on the right of midfield. Loved a goal against the **** and the pars tae. How can you no love him for that [emoji7]
  10. Was at the Bo’ness game against Stirling Uni a few weeks ago and the boy looks a player. Always looking to take his man on and be positive with the ball. Had a couple of decent efforts and was one of the best players on the park for the first hour before falling out the game which you would expect with a young boy. If he keeps up his form I’d be looking to put him out to a higher level in January with a few to bring him into the squad next year.
  11. He’s actually no that bad in the air. Got some leap on him and definitely wins his fair share.
  12. Totally agree with this btw. Honestly still don’t think I’ve seen a particularly bad performance from him this season. Again I get that I’m well in the minority that thinks this and in no way saying we shouldn’t be looking for an upgrade on him or to excuse his pathetic performances last season but with McGinn there sitting at the base of midfield he looks a completely different player than last season to me. He does get about the pitch a lot better than he did last season, he’s actually a decent presser and won the ball back high up a few times yesterday. His passing is still very inconsistent can mind he played a cracking diagonal through to Williamson then about 5 minutes later he fucks up a simple 5 yard pass and he does give away too many fouls. He’s clearly not everyone’s cup of tea but unlike last season I can actually see now what he’s bringing to the team and deserves his place at the moment imo.
  13. Aye if you’re reading Fowler you’ve really got to have one of Williamson or Morrison and Newman the Peterhead ‘keeper in the team this week.
  14. We really should be a few goals clear here. Playing some really good stuff and completely dominating but it’s just typical Falkirk that we concede the first time Peterhead look at our goal. Great equaliser from Williamson though who’s arguably having his best game for us so far. Peterhead are offering absolutely nothing in the game as well yet go in having opened the scoring. They started with a 4-5-1 then moved to a back 3 after the drinks break but it’s no really had any effect as we’ve still been in almost complete control. Alegria is woeful. Boy just hasn’t got it at all, flings himself to the deck all the time and his movement up front is absolutely horrendous. Morrison playing much better than last week and genuinely looming threatening growing forward. Nesbitt is trying far too hard. He’s be class at fives btw but on an 11 aside game he really struggles to make much impact. Think McGinn is having a really poor game again. Slowing the game down far too much and his use of the ball has been very poor. All in all that 45 minutes was a massive upgrade on the last few weeks. We’re winning this game.
  15. Might be in a minority of 1 like but despite how god awful he was last season actually think Hetherington has been absolutely fine this season. Even last week against Airdrie his performance was far, far better than McGinn, Nesbitt and Morrison. Not disputing we would like better but if we’re talking about dropping players on the back of last week he’d be well done the pecking order for me.
  16. Pennies is still far more than we should’ve been paying either of they rancid players tbh.
  17. I think it’s still at 6. Though cross border loans don’t count towards that number.
  18. If Hogarth starts as expected tomorrow then who’s going to be playing the part of Camille Oponga?
  19. Also got George Shelvey who is in front of him in the pecking order.
  20. Aye Hogarth is definitely coming in to play which is fair enough. Paddy Martin was extremely poor last season and he’s not someone you want to be relying on to start more than the odd game here and there. Assuming it means PJ is out for a while.
  21. We’re a dugmeat L1 team working on a budget. Exactly who did some people think we were going to bring in? Apart from the hilarious and ridiculous shouts of Adam Rooney and Scott Allan. We were never going to be able to bring in anyone who would ‘guarantee’ goals or have a really good pedigree behind them so we were always going to have to take risks and we’ve got to trust that McGlynn knows what he’s doing and knows how har he’s spending his budget on.
  22. If you can’t get on board and excited about a random 2 footed and tall attacking midfielder being signed up then there’s no hope for you tbh. He’s either going to be absolutely ganting or a swashbuckling cult hero and I for one can’t wait to find out which.
  23. There’s really no point being negative about this signing. The market we’re shopping in of course we are never going to be affording a ready made experienced striker that will guarantee us goals. We were always going to need to take a chance on someone loan or a young boy like this. Anyone who seriously thought we were bringing in Adam Rooney is a fucking idiot. As has been said we need to trust McGlynn. He’s not given us any reason not to so far and also with Stephen McGinn playing and training with him last season I’m sure he knows his qualities and has been speaking to McGlynn about him as well.
  24. I don’t know why you would say that tbh. We had Oliver and Morrison up front together for the first hour today.
