  1. Our FM yesterday;
“So do not take from this that we have given football an October provisional date for crowds being back. That’s not the case and actually I don’t think it’s a fair interpretation of what Jason actually said.”
I think it’s fair to assume we won’t be able to attend any games until late in year ( or new year)
On the post raised just can’t see how many smaller clubs will survive without fans attending,

That will allow our “away boycott brigade” a get out of jail free card

  2. They were both announced as having two year deals when they signed last summer.
However, there have been rumours about the second year being dependant on promotion. Neither were listed in the "definitely staying" category in the last club update so you could speculate that M&M might choose to let them (and others) go.
As far as I can see Connolly, Dixon, Durnan, Hall, Miller and Telfer aren't confirmed either way.
Now that M&M are off furlough I imagine we'll start getting football news again soon.

And announced to Land of Hope and Glory. Fabulous stuff

  3. Agreed. Last season's at least looked like some thought had went into it, with the landmark design on the sleeves, and it was plain and pretty smart. This season's looks like they have just went with the first idea Puma came up with, and the club had no input whatsoever. If someone at the club DID have a say in it they want their head checked. The away strip isn't just as horrific as the home one, but still dreadful.

KK will have chosen it. His department

  4. I think it’s pretty certain that the club are genuinely trying to change the way in which the club is managed and run. It’s pleasing to hear that there are discussions about the future role of the MSG, and if my interpretation is correct, gone are the days that selling the pies were signed off by them.
Yes it’s been a year without any change, and words can be cheap,  however I’m of the opinion that genuine change is coming and we have a guy in charge that supports the club unlike many of the recent horrors.

Time will tell. Let support him and hope he can be successful

  5. Deans does speak well in the main. Not sure I would have talked about humiliating clubs and the investment bit he boasted about doesn’t hold water after his farcical 5 months with MC.

I would also disagree regarding us winning the league but that of course is conjecture now and a matter of opinion.

Still not delivered anything in a year. Still in league 1.

However the most positive thing he did say was about the MSG and his attempt to break that stranglehold they have on the club. Clearly looking at way to move them to one side and they feel appreciated rather than hounded out. That is the key to all this you know without that being achieved we are going nowhere.

If he can’t he will be another in a line of failures at the club who have been no more than a punch bag to take blows for the MSG.

I hope he can pull it off and he deserves support of us all to do so.

It is about delivering, the talking is the easy bit.

  6. Had to laugh at Neilson leaving Utd for the Jambo's. Dropping a division, with the Tannadice side having just been declared champions.
Do you think he's been told there's no way the Arabs are getting promoted?
    #DejaVu #Schadenfreude #LiveInHope

    The conversation will have gone.

Budge - How much you on?
Neilson - you need to double it.
    Budge - done

    Cash as always

  7. To be fair there are circumstances beyond our control. Teams in the bottom two divisions do not influence policy and it will be a case of this is what you are getting.
It's anybody's guess what October will bring and teams will have to commit by August latest so they can get the infrastructure, squads, staff etc sorted.
If it's closed doors games I just don't see how some teams in our league can do it and be financially viable.
Therefore it is only fair that teams should be given the opportunity to sit the season out without penalty.

What was? Getting relegated to Div 3 was someone else to blame?

  8. The decision to kill the academy and go down the route of the “Brentford model” is surely one of the worst in the entire history of the club.
Knocking back the £800k from the fans group in favour of Walter Mitty last summer also up there.

I would argue the academy was one of the worst by any club in its history. Still no one has ever been made accountable for it either.

  9. Hence the reason Gary Deans was brought in

He was on the Board all last summer when we pissed about with Campbell and he was in charge of that. That turned out well.

Let’s see if his talking turns into action. He says the right things - we need action now.

We are now miles worse off than last summer. 6 players, no idea when we will play and no idea when our biggest income generators will be back in the ground.

I agree with much of what he said regarding the game in Scotland, I do want to see people who run the club take responsibility for mistake too though. There is no recognition of that - again.

  10. The clubs in League 1 voted to keep us down out of self-interest.
Our fans are equally entitled to decide it is not in their self-interest to give their hard earned money to clubs that kept us in this hellhole of a league.  Particularly based on a league placing on an arbitrary date when we were 1 point behind a team we could quite conceivably have overtaken.
    Horses for courses.

The MSG told the fans to stick their 800 grand up their arses last summer and jumped into bed with a charlatan yet 2000 bought ST’s to play against butchers, bakers and candlestick makers. It shows their decision making is far from consistent and this boycott has little of no chance of happening on a wide scale
