Released on Amazon Prime yesterday (I refuse to say "dropped").

One episode in and I'm enjoying it. I never played the game so couldn't care less how similar it is or isn't; some folk went bonkers with The Last of Us over this.

    Walton Goggins is tremendous.

I also watched the first episode and really enjoyed it.

I have played the game and what I've seen so far is unbelievably spot on. Be interesting to see where the story goes but the world they've created is perfect.

I don't think this will get the same reaction as TLOU, as that had a fairly fixed story which the TV show retold. Fallout, the game, is far more loose and the TV show is telling a different story, just in the same world.

I imagine the reaction will be the middle aged white guys complaining that the protagonists are a girl, a black guy and an undead ghoul

Absolutely, we have to at least match Annan's results on the run in.  Every game a cup final now as the saying goes ...

Not necessarily. We can finish below Annan and still avoid 9th. We have Stirling and Kelty still to play. Win one of those and match their respective results and we'll finish no lower than 8th.

Plus Stirling have still to play Kelty and Annan, so none of them can pick up maximum points

  3. Looks decent. I got a Killabee chair a few years ago which I like, but they don't seem to exist anymore.

Mr X jnr has a GT Omega, which looks like a different company.

@Andy Dufresne has contacts. He might be able to sort you out a deal

Just received sone marketing stuff for broadband from GoFibre.
    Are they any good?

Heard about them when they first started but didn't realise they'd grown so much!

I'm not sure you can go massively wrong with full fibre but their prices are pretty expensive

What sort of view are you wanting for £16 at a Scottish league one ground? Sydney opera House perhaps? The hanging gardens of Babylon.  Herds of wildebeest swinging majestically...

I expect to be able to see the sea

As well as made communication with the fans via social media before being told to stop it. How dare we know what's going on 🙄

Thats only half the story. It was suggested that he used official channels rather than personal social media, so that more fans could know whats going on. Pretty sure there was a Q&A on the website for a while

Oh oh oh……how did I forget to mention it……..what the dickens is going on with the music choices through your PA?? That was torture…..like being back in a 1970’s working man’s club, jeez oh!! Surely I wasn’t the only one?

At least some of the music was chosen by fans. Anyone can request a song

This is actually a good idea.

Unrelated note, is the AGM being filmed and made available to watch online?

I don't think we could film/stream the AGM, as it's only open to shareholders.

I guess technically we could film the Q&A session with the manager as its technically not part of the AGM, as far as I know

I noticed on Facebook that someone suggested putting DAN in charge of the playing side for rest of season. Funnily enough I bumped into Dan at the recent Kelty away game and said the exact same thing to him. He laughed BUT I was deadly serious. Dan has done brilliantly in every job at the club. - why would he necessarily fail at this one?

I think Dan would energise the entire club because everybody would be willing him to do well. Let’s be honest the playing results can only go one way. That would buy us time until we can make another appointment or just decide that he is the man for the job. The players might also just “pull their fingers out”.

When you say "someone" you mean you, right?

Hedgecutter has the gist of it. It IS about routine, and it sounds like your kids have everything they need at both locales, the problem comes when they have issues about what is where when. There are other things such as the travel times to school might be a half hour longer from one home than the other, resulting in unsettled sleep schedules or such. Even worse is where the kids start dreading certain days because it’s when they change.

No, it isn’t all kids that have these issues, but it is pretty common. I just wanted to highlight the need to put yourself in the kids shoes to view things.

Well, no that isnt what you highlighted. You specifically said one way of doing things "tends to be confusing or unsettling."

Its a pretty massive assumption that any of those practical things - which school stuff is where etc - has a negative effect on kids compared to spending massively inequal time with each parent.

Do you have any actual evidence from studies to back any of this up? Because ...

I have only read what was quoted of TX Rover but copious studies have shown that the best outcome for children of seperated couples is shared equally split with set routines.

The adjustment of any routine to children, with or without disabilities is unsettling and has to be carefully managed. Once seperate then ideally you have to live life making them the first priority and consideration, not that that always happens.

However, I'd also not be taking advice from someone who's every post seems be AI generated.

Splitting custody with equal times tends to be confusing or unsettling to the kids, especially possible if there are some ability issues as well. Stability is better, but so called alternate nesting is a difficult road too (one house for the kids and you swap times staying there). Ideally allowing the kids one home and another care location might be the best solution, but it can short change one parent. The recommendation for legal advice is solid.

Based on what? Why would an equal split be any more or less confusing than alternate weekends?

Kids like routine. When I split up with my kids mother I was adamant that every other weekend wasnt enough and I wanted them more often. We agreed on Sat night - Tues they are with me, Tues night to Sat they are with her and they come round after school on Thursday, have dinner at mine and then I take them back to her.

We've been doing that for nearly five years and its worked really well. Splitting it like this has meant that theres no pressure to "do something" when they are round here.

We didnt get lawyers involved, but there were no joint assets involved. We started off by making a Parenting Plan (https://www.mygov.scot/parentingplan) which isnt really any more complicated than writing down what you've agreed.

I think the key things to remember are, kids are tougher than you think and will deal with the situation. It might not be easy for them, but they will be ok. And, as bad as things might seem now, they will get better
