Splitting custody with equal times tends to be confusing or unsettling to the kids, especially possible if there are some ability issues as well. Stability is better, but so called alternate nesting is a difficult road too (one house for the kids and you swap times staying there). Ideally allowing the kids one home and another care location might be the best solution, but it can short change one parent. The recommendation for legal advice is solid.

Based on what? Why would an equal split be any more or less confusing than alternate weekends?

Kids like routine. When I split up with my kids mother I was adamant that every other weekend wasnt enough and I wanted them more often. We agreed on Sat night - Tues they are with me, Tues night to Sat they are with her and they come round after school on Thursday, have dinner at mine and then I take them back to her.

We've been doing that for nearly five years and its worked really well. Splitting it like this has meant that theres no pressure to "do something" when they are round here.

We didnt get lawyers involved, but there were no joint assets involved. We started off by making a Parenting Plan (https://www.mygov.scot/parentingplan) which isnt really any more complicated than writing down what you've agreed.

I think the key things to remember are, kids are tougher than you think and will deal with the situation. It might not be easy for them, but they will be ok. And, as bad as things might seem now, they will get better

That's actually pretty good, for the BBC. If it's 3 at the back, I imagine Connelly will play off the strikers. Could be 4 at the back with Connelly and McKechnie wide?

I tried it on release and stopped playing very quickly with a view to checking it out again in several months.

I found it quite boring and the user interface was clunky as all hell. It didn't hit the mark for me and I kept thinking that I'd rather Bethesda had put the effort into another Fallout game.

I pretty much just treated this as the next fallout game!

I think that lowered my expectations enough to really enjoy the game.

There's a really good mod that changes the inventory interface, which makes a massive difference

Who says they are. I see no indication of it unless you know differently

I don't. But I'm not the one criticising others without knowing ALL the facts.

Nothing. Just don’t like to see a thoroughly decent mate of mine being downed by people that have never met him or know ALL the facts.

I would have been more convinced if you'd put "facts" in capitals.

Presumably your decent mate has taken legal action against all this false reporting?

Totally. My daughter and son in law were sitting next to Charlie and his wife at that playoff game and I can assure you his behaviour was impeccable.

On the Queens front my point is still, better to have a new owner (s) than watch us whimper and die through on going losses, part time football and who knows, descent further in the Scottish game. If the Board really care about the clubs future should we not at least be investigating this with vigour. Sorry but answer seems to be no one has approached us.   I’m not criticising our well meaning BOD who I’m sure put in effort or money but it’s just not working

Its better to have any new owner just because they are a new owner?

That smacks of "something must be done - this is something - let's do it"

There are so many examples of dubious owners causing actual harm, and worse, to clubs. I wouldn't want anyone near the club who wasn't known and appropriately vetted.

Who would really pay £11 each for a badly made cheesecake? (Apart from for a wedding meal obvs). They could at least try to make it within the bounds of possibility.

The obvious answer is Londoners and tourists

Thought this looked interesting pre-launch because I've been itching for a space exploration epic since I quit Eve Online. Lost a lot of interest after finding out it was single-player, and again when it was described at launch as "a mile wide, but about an inch deep".

    Has it gotten any better?

Well, thankfully, it's still single player.

If you've enjoyed previous Bethesda open world games then chances are you'll enjoy this. There are definitely flaws that need ignored though!

There's been a few patches but they've mainly been bug fixes and graphic improvements.

The final paragraph (apart from the AGM) is so defeatist and negative... and annoying.  Relying on a freak cup draw or unearthing another Lyndon Dykes every season and blaming losses on those factors suggests incompetent business management to me.  Plenty said about pinning hopes on what unexpected income we might have acquired through luck, and a resignation that losses are inevitable, but not a single word on what the board have been or will be doing to attract investment.  It's all very "this is where we are and there's nothing we can do about it".

This is a financial report for an AGM, it's not a press release.

So First World problem but here goes.

I had fibre broadband installed by Openreach on behalf of my network provider Vodafone who I have been with for a number of years. It worked for about a week then went down so I have had no WiFi for two weeks.

Its becoming a real pain - aside from being stuck with council telly at night both myself and my missus work from home . We are having to commute over an hour each way or login at coffee shops - fine for a few days but I’m at the end of my tether.

Have of course reported this to Vodafone two weeks ago. They say they are aware of the outage in my area and have asked Openreach to investigate. I was told it would be fixed by last Friday but nothing was done. I’ve seen horror stories online of people being left with no broadband for weeks or even months so I’m getting a bit worried.

So I’m trying to solve the problem myself rather than wait for Openreach so have had a couple of ideas.

    1. change broadband provider to Sky ( they have some good deals currently) on the basis that they might have an engineer who could fix it on/ around date of switchover.

    2. Buy a cellular router and stick a SIM card in it.

Im a bit of a Luddite but my thinking around option 1 is that maybe Sky can’t do anything without Openreach sorting the broadband . On the second option I have no idea how/ if  a cellular router would work. We would be running two laptops during the day and one smart TV at night . We don’t do any gaming so we are hardly Cape Canaveral.

If there is anyone on here that could offer any advice or other ideas as to a temporary fix I would be much obliged cheers!

    Some good advice from others.

I've recently switched to fibre and I was told the old copper landline was being removed, so that might not be a fall back option. When you said the engineer that installed it ran an extension off your old phone socket, are you saying he didnt run new cable from the nearest pole/box to your house? If not, did you have fibre to the house before?

Also, the answer to question 1 in your original post is no. If its an Openreach issue then changing providers wont make any difference.

Pretty sure it used to be up to the parent club if a loan player was allowed to play against them but now think it's actual rule that they can't play.

This. Its been a rule for a few seasons that loan players cant play against their parent club

    Replayed this again there.

Was horrible and robbed and killed everyone so honour was rock bottom. Chose to help Marston though so when it came to it Micah killed me with a point blank shot to the forehead.

    Easily the best game ever.

I might try that on my next play through. I'm usually the good guy

I've got a BT fibre box, despite the crappy speed. Time for an upgrade and I can get upto 900-1200 apparently.

I don't want to pay over the odds so I'm wondering what sort of speed I'd see a definite improvement with. What do you think?

Thanks for replying, I can change immediately.

I went from about 30ish to 300. Its noticeably quicker!

I'm currently coming to an end of my BT fibre broadband deal, 36mb apparently which looks dreadful for the amount I was paying per month compared to what's out there  on comparison sites.

I really don't need my landline and wondering if I can get away without paying any line rental or will it always be needed regardless of the broadband provider?

    and

Any recommendations for decent deals or companies that are out there would be appreciated.

    TIA

If you can get fibre to the house then you'll get much faster broadband and you can lose the landline.

I got it through Plusnet last year and it's all been good

Going by the news item on the club website* when his signing was announced in July his contract has now expired:

    Welcome - Efe Ambrose

We have today signed Efe Ambrose on a short-term deal. The 34-year-old who was a free agent after leaving Morton joins the squad until the end of the year.

I suppose there's still a chance he may sign another short-term contract before Saturday, indeed he may have already done so or has extended his current one to the end of the season but the club admin / SFA quillpushers are stretching their holidays out for as long as possible meaning the paperwork hasn't been signed off yet.

    * Question for Homer T - is there any prospect of the O/S club news ever being made searchable?  It's actually much easier to find specific news items on the old pre-Beta site!  Think it's been asked on here before but I can't remember the response.

It gets asked every now and again. It's possible to do but probably unlikely to happen anytime soon.

You can use Google to search within sites, put

    site:www.qosfc.com Dobbie

Into the url bar and it will search the site for Dobbie

Not checked recently but when I posted earlier there was no supporters info about this game on the OS, or Buy Ticket button on the the "Next Match" notice, might be different now of course.

Tickets for all the games up to and including Annan have been on sale since the start of the season. The link on the Next Match section is just  for convenience, it doesnt mean the tickets are on sale, or not.

Tickets for the rest of the games to the end of the season are also now available

No cash turnstiles any more, away fans might be pre-purchased e-tickets only or tickets may be available to buy on the day at the Arena ticket desk.

Edit: Just had a look on the Queens OS and no buy ticket function available yet and no match info either that I can see.

Tickets are available to buy online.

As far as I know, away fans can buy tickets at the ticket office on the day. Don't see any reason why not.

Call me old fashioned but on the very rare occasion we see a QoS goal at Palmerston I enjoy the sound of the crowd 😎

ETA - If you can arrange for more goals to be scored I won't have any qualms with that.

    I cannot :(

Sure we could dig up some fake crowd noise for you though

That's also very Partick Thistle too.

Can't say I noticed the goal music too much but as a fan of a certain age I enjoyed most of the pre-match playlist.

Which included some KLF I believe
