Stenny’s last 3 games being us, Bonnyrigg and stranraer is going to have a massive say in things.
Clyde (31 pts):
Stenny (H), East Fife (H), Elgin (A)
Stranraer (32 pts):
Dumbarton (H), Forfar (A), Stenny (H)
Bonnyrigg (35 pts):
Spartans (H), Stenny (A), Forfar (H)
Really think we need 6 points from the 2 home games and probably at least a point at Elgin last day. Stranraer could easily take 7 points from their games which would mean we need all 9 to overhaul them.
Would be devastating to have closed such a gap only to fall short at the final hurdle but it’s going to be really tight.
One other factor is Forfar (36 pts) they play East Fife at home tomorrow. If Forfar lose that with Stranraer and Bonnyrigg still to play they could be dragged in. Realistically though can’t see us catching them.

A win tomorrow is an absolute must, in fact if results don’t go our way then beating the runaway leaders might only be good enough to maintain the current deficit . Hoping that Dumbarton can do us a favour but I’ve already got that down as +3 for Stranraer.

Anyone know why there was no sign of Alex King yesterday? Injury I assume but no mention in the match preview. Not that I’m his biggest fan but the conditions yesterday may have suited him as he’s not afraid to shoot.

I’d love to hear McCalls explanation for leaving Robbie Leitch on the bench all game and bringing that diddy Cameron on at half time! Absolutely mental. Thought Kabia was one of our better players first half too and had a bit of quality at times so no idea why he was hooked either.

Is a 92nd minute fluke against Stranraer called "winning"?
If you were actually at the game you would know we battered them and 1-0 flattered them if anything.
You’re a poor man’s Jimmy choo (or his latest burner account) and Billy Reid is a bellend.

Todays game was a total lottery because of the wind, yes the other results weren’t ideal but after 1 small set back all the fannies come crawling out of the woodwork again. We’ve gone from 11 points behind to having a fighting chance of staying up. Give us peace FFS and get behind the team in the next two home games.

Unlucky with Grant hitting the post and Allan’s goal looking onside. Dreadful conditions throughout made the game a total lottery.
Real battle remaining over the last 3 games with both rivals getting points today. Would be a real blow to have reeled them in only to let them off the hook at the last.

I see the broomhill game was off last weekend, what chance the pitch is playable?
Could we switch it to dens park to improve the odds?

Another 4-4 would do rightly.

Have we heard anything from our own Jimmy Choo in the last few weeks???
Our up turn in form has coincided with him switching accounts.

How’s Alex King been doing for Clyde?
Not impressed. He’s been playing at left back which probably isn’t his position to be fair but for a guy on loan from two levels above he is nothing special. He also looks like he can’t be arsed when things aren’t going our way.

That's a split second before the contact. I think most of the contact actually comes on his arm.
You could still just about argue a red for endangering an opponent, as he'd started off much higher, but think a yellow car is just about right, though that decision was probably more luck that judgement on the referees part.
If he hadn’t booked Grant for a clean tackle then there might have been less demand for this to be red. The same punishment for those two challenges is mental. I didn’t think the Stranraer tackle on Ballantyne was a booking either at the time.

Not impressed with the ref stopping play twice in the first half for needless situations including one where a Stranraer player threw himself down screaming then was back up in 30 seconds. He stopped play a third time for the scullion head clash which was fair enough but the other two were ridiculous.

The second half today we were in total control and really should have won that more comfortably. We weren’t great in the first half but when you compare to how Stranraer faired playing into the wind we did miles better than them.
Particularly pleasing to get revenge for olly McDonald doing us in stoppage time down there earlier in the season and finally beat that Stranraer side at the 4th attempt.
Job far from done but we have the momentum and being off the bottom must give us a huge lift. Onwards and upwards!

That will be one million pounds for Jordan Allan if you want him back next season, Clyde.
Take it easy Dr Evil, I don’t think he’ll be in your plans for the championship.

Peterhead have probably the best grass surface in the bottom two leagues. Every team waters the pitch before and at HT to make the ball zip across the surface faster. There is no way the pitch at Balmoor is heavy going.
To be fair, we find most surfaces heavy going.

Next week is now the most ‘must win’ game of the season. I for one am not confident

Conceding penalties and goals from corners really is our forte.

Two gift penalties, a missed sitter and almost an entire team of dud performances.
I did think we would be in for a tough one when I saw the Peterhead lineup, but it's been far too easy.

It's beginning to look like they're a spent force, but it's imperative that we hold up our end of the bargain as one freak goal or decision could be enough to earn them a result somewhere along the line. No easy games left for us now, so hopefully we can extend what's become a wee run of sustained decent performances.
Stranraer at home in a couple of weeks is an absolute must win (not that we have a great record in those!)

East Fife, Dumbarton and Clyde all home wins would be ideal (but granted unlikely).

Funny how there’s never any trouble at away games with any other club in this division. Clyde always the victim
You need to actually have some away fans to have any issues so it’s no surprise these are highlighted by the bigger clubs in the division .
In all seriousness though you are talking shite as evidenced by the two statements from your own club above and the recent goings on of some Dumbarton fans too.

Poor post, naive comments. In only our 2nd season in the SPFL, it’ll take time (and a lot of money) to get our infrastructure in place. But we’ve our own ground, we’re not wracking ourselves with massive debt (and no rich sugar daddy here), we’ve a Board with the right intentions, a local community fan base with relatively realistic ambitions and we know if we’re relegated we’ll still be in existence in a few years time.
Can you say that about your club? Can many in the lower leagues?
This is fair enough and I think the covered seating behind the goal is a fairly new addition but toilet facilities akin to your average building site is not suitable facilities for league football imo. There’s not much you can do about the state of that pitch without a massive expense but again it’s almost amateur level stuff.
It’s one of the most basic facilities I’ve been to and I can see why some clubs are pushing for higher licensing criteria for promotion into the SPFL. We’ve now got Edinburgh city and Bonnyrigg whose facilities are unfit for the level of football they are playing at.
