Eight dreadful seasons in a row is a bit much, Ye. I think Alex Neil spoiled us with his amazingly successful spell. Had he stayed I dare say things would have tailed off too, to some extent anyway. The first of those seasons wasn't that bad, we beat Dundee Utd 4-0 and Hearts, who were top, 3-2. Even in the following season we beat Aberdeen twice at home. Give me misery like that anytime. Plus I'm fairly sure we beat Motherwell more than they beat us. The cups were generally bloody dreadful of course.

I don't have a season ticket so I'm left thinking, do I really want to give this lot another £20? To sit and see another insipid home performance ( 6 wins in the last 24 home games). I'm getting to like Soccer Saturday again.

Enjoy this, Sons fans. Accies lost to Talbot last season, second tier v sixth. Your team approached this game far far better than we did. Mind you, our idiot manager at the time decided to blood youngsters and totally disrespected Auchinleck.

Steve Farrell reckons Cumnock v Auchinleck crowds are only beaten by the Old Firm games and Hibs v Hearts. In grounds that hold 3,000?

Oh and for the benefit of you youngsters, Dundee absolutely did not have nothing to play for, and at the time they thought Albert Kidd's goals could've been taking them into Europe (ironically only for Rangers to pip them on goal difference).
Was just about to say the same thing. Thought that was well known. I remember being gutted for Hearts that day. Celtic were unstoppable at Love Street but when the OF have their tails up those results can happen. Hearts 0 Celtic 7 springs to mind...

How on earth did we come within a few minutes of beating Thistle and Ayr earlier in the season? Ten of yesterday's starting line-up started at Somerset and nine at Firhill. Maybe give Ngandu a start? Might as well. Not got a season ticket so debating whether to give this gang another twenty quid. Seems likely we've attracted another shady bunch to sponsor our stadium. What is it about Ronnie MacDonald and Colin McGowan that attracts the criminal fraternity? It's a puzzler.

Am I right in saying that was Morton's first win against us at Cappielow this century? Maybe you beat us in 2003/04, THAT season!
That midfield? One decent player, one headless chicken ( who was awful last week but can't be dropped because we've no one else), and one quite talented player but who has no pace and no confidence. Adding Mimnaugh and benching Tiehi or One would likely have had little effect. There are players in the lower leagues who would walk into that team but we seem to have no scouting network. A shambles from top to bottom. And Ronnie wants us to be a hipster club. More chance of being a cult club like Fort William!

Junior fans will know better than me but are the Loverings not a family with a bit of a reputation?

Am I right that this game is only on Premier Sports, which I don't have? Not even non-HD on ITV4 as apparently snooker is more important. Of course England's meaningless match tonight is free on Channel 4.

Totally get the respect thing, but with no senior matches or live football this weekend it seems like an opportunity missed. Cancelling next week would make more sense.
Yep, I'd have gone to a local game with no senior stuff to go to. Pathetic toadying to a disfunctional family with the odd paedophile thrown in for good measure.

Disgraceful toadying to a bunch of people who are no better than any of us.

I think today confirmed that having the away fans in section A is a very bad idea (not a clue how much money this actually saves us).
Perhaps worth noting however that the Queen's Park fans were there a few weeks ago and not a hint of any bother. Food for thought.
We seemed to have a lot more kids there yesterday. Also Queen's crowd was 786, yesterday it was 1,317. I also heard about fans apparently taking drugs on the path at Pollock Avenue.

Cult daft. Not be long till the Pretendy Ref.
A few of our young team started singing "fcuk the Tories" while another lot started singing " fcuk the SNP".
Political nonsense has no place in a stadium as folk go to football to get away from that pish.
Fwiw, they are all turds of varying degrees whatever the Party.
And yet you're all over any political point that isn't in favour of unionism, on this forum or the Accies one. We get it, you prefer Tory rule forevermore to normal independence.

I believe we had about 130. Less than Dumbarton took to Coatbridge but then that was only £14 and you didn't have to jump through hoops to attend nor did you risk missing half the first half. Glad I gave it a miss.

I don't know what the criteria is for inclusion but can anyone explain how Bonnyton qualify yet teams that finished above them like Blantyre Vics aren't there?

I’ve never enjoyed games against the Accies, no matter what our status has been compared to theirs we’ve always struggled against their style of play for some reason. I’ve never really got this opinion that Accies always play football the right way, playing out from the back etc. I’ve watched Morton v Accies games home and away from the 60’s and have never seen them playing anything but a holding game, trying to hit on the break etc. In fact I decided quite recently not to attend games v Accies as they bore the shit out of me. If I had been born in Hamilton and my dad had taken me to their games I wouldn’t have taken to football, I’d maybe have watched a different sport like rugby.
10-2, 6-1, 5-0. All that hitting on the break. Feel free to add those Morton thrashings. There must be a 2-0 somewhere.

If we win we might be reliant on Kelty not being humped by Livingston. A 1-0 for us both should see us through or even 2-0 Livi.

Yet again no actual hoops for an Accies top. I think that's none since 2006. Not good enough. Better half-hoop size this time but don't like that middle red block that the sponsors logo has been placed in. Away kit pretty poor, nowhere near as nice as last seasons.

Really awful news. Deserved longer than 58 years.

It would've been even better after Kunt scored to get it chopped aff for the ball going out play M8.
As delighted as I am with the outcome, I feel I have to point out the ball did not go out of play, despite that photo. There was a camera angle from behind the crosser and some of the ball is clearly overhanging the line. Never rely on a photo unless it is absolutely 100% obvious.

Couldn't bear to watch it but flicked over just as the Frankfurt goal went in, which was nice. Then saw the lovely news on SSN just now. Get it up all the glory hunters, bigots and downright thugs. For the decent fans, at least your team done you proud. But for many of us, it's a massive relief.

Accies vs Cove

I've bet Cove -2 but I wouldn't be surprised if we pull this back.
