  1. Absolutely horrible news in pretty much every way. For him personally, it goes without saying that 6-9 months without football will be so difficult. For us next season, we're already missing one of our best players for at least half the season. And for us financially, if you believe the rumours of the interest from down south, we miss out on a potential nice pay day moving him on this summer. I thought the disappointment would have stopped after our season was finished
  2. Croatia miles clear. However actual top three for me is Finland Norway Moldova.
  3. Aside from fans of every club other than Queen's Park a) even taking the time to listen to him in the first place, and b) actually caring about what he says.
  4. I don't know if I've ever seen a level of rattling quite like the Morton fans are displaying in this thread. I'd give Owen Coyle a 10 year* contract extension right now purely for the tears he causes amongst opposition fans. *Or until the money runs out, whichever comes first.
  5. I'd heard a wee whisper recently that Mal himself is interested in staying. Without promotion though I find it hard to see Crystal Palace sending him back for another year, he's already proved he is more than good enough at this level and they might want him to take another step up. Would love it if we did do a wee bit of a Gretna and signed him permanently this summer. Given his age and current trajectory, there would still be a very good chance we'd profit on him in the next couple of years.
  6. I do think it was a foul by Oakley just before our second goal, however the only big decision that I felt didn't go for us was Kyle Turner not getting a second yellow for that pathetic attempt of a dive. Aside from that I agree, zero complaints about the ref. Even played the correct amount of added time to account for our two late injuries, despite Coyle complaining about that.
  7. Just text one of my Thistle supporting pals to ask this and apparently a Thistle fan took unwell at the game on Friday and died, so it was for them.
  8. "One team in Glasgow" the Partick Thistle fans sing, to their opponents from Glasgow who finished ahead of them in the league... We are still utterly honking at the back but have created good chances in the first half, and should have more than one goal. Saying that, a shaky start to the second half here. If we can at least keep this to within 1 goal for Friday, I think we might have a chance.
  9. No matter what happens with us at the end of this season, I'll still have a smile on my face knowing Falkirk have once again failed to get out of the seaside leagues.
  10. Last time I was on this thread it was 15 pages long, I'm not going back through everything of the last two days, mainly because I have been drinking since then and I'm only just getting home now . You cannot defend like we did and expect to win a game, nevermind the league. Dundee fully deserved their win on the night, and (albeit belatedly) the league title based on the entire season, but the fact we actually had a chance and still played like that in a must win game is all kinds of baffling. Charlie Fox's first goal is the best goal I have ever seen in person, and I don't think it will be beaten. We were brutal in defence, and not clinical enough going forward. I do think that Legzdins save early in the second half changed the course of the game, but we didn't test him after that, so we'll never know. Fully expect us to have a disaster in the playoffs. Then again, I said that last year... I could have done with an extra four weeks of the drink though.
  11. Afraid not. As 1320Lichtie says Dundee fans snapped up their allocation in an hour or so after sleeping on the street outside the ticket office, and QP tickets didn't even go to a public sale, it was basically by invitation only. Most exclusive game in Europe this season.
  12. Whereas our problem has been taking points off teams in the top half. Only 6 points from a possible 33 against Dundee, Ayr and Morton, whereas against every other team in the league we've taken more points than we've lost. A brutal record, and even more annoying given there's arguments to be made about decisions against us vs Ayr in August and Morton in March. If we get a dodgy penalty or two tomorrow night all will be forgiven... I don't expect you to listen to me or any other QP fan, but just FYI this was also met with laughter by our own support.
  13. Really starting to feel the excitement/nerves for this game now. Davidson for Oakley, Jarrett for Williamson with Shields back upfront and I'm going to trigger most of my fellow QP fans by saying Eze for Fox. Fox has been poor recently and yes, Eze may cost us a goal, but in a game we have to win I'd be whipping every single set piece in the Dundee half onto his head, he can cause havoc in the box. I'd even stick him on the halfway line for goal kicks to win those too, given how poor we've been at that. QP to shitfest a one goal victory, flood warnings issued in Larbert due to Dundee tears and me to leave a mwi TONTROOPER-style trail of destruction across most of the Championship forum threads. Thank you.
  14. PFA Scotland POTY voted for by the players isn't it? I think Akinyemi will get it, in these things it's always hard to see past the top goalscorer in the league. Savoury and Thomas definitely deserve a nomination, but very surprised Mal Boateng hasn't received one as the guy is absolutely class.
  15. Going to Ochilview without a ticket is pretty fucking ridiculous when you have no chance of getting in, and can watch the game pretty much anywhere seeing as it's on BBC.
  16. Not surprising to see you and your fellow Morten minters having an absolute disaster on here in the last 18 hours. A fanbase, club and town full of complete and utter freaks. Thank you.
  17. The last nine weeks have been fucking brutal for Queen's Park. Starting with our own dodgy disallowed goal then throwing away a two goal lead against Morton, we scraped past ICT & Cove before shit really hit the fan. Four points from the last 18 available would be tragic for a team fighting relegation, never mind the for the title. We were miserable again today, toothless up front and pathetic in defence, allowing Morton chance after chance. If we play like that next week, we'll get turned over easily. But the only team that has thrown away as many chances as us to win the league is Dundee. The task on Friday is simple, so I still have hope that we can do the unthinkable. Once the hangover of today (physical and emotional) disappears, the buzz I felt on Friday night will come back, and next week is going to be absolutely wild, one way or another.
  18. I have been absolutely lost for the last month or so now in Valheim, it is an absolutely fantastic wee game. Got a single player save on the go as well as one with a couple of mates that I play almost daily now. Whether I want to have a bit of intensity and take on a few hoardes of monsters while gathering resources, or just relax and build or farm at my base, it's giving me everything I need right now.
  19. Who's going to make the "Ochilview Park - Not busy" joke first...
  20. This thread will be fun. Any kind of win to set up the final day showdown will do me just fine. Maybe Bannon could be the one to finally keep George Oakley quiet and give us a chance, as we have inexplicably made him look like a decent footballer in the two meetings since January.
  21. Always liked Paul Hartley, never said anything otherwise. Hopefully he can do us a favour on Friday and make it interesting for the last game of the season.
  22. After tonight I'm convinced the ref was on this thread pregame and read the Ayr fans comments. Not that he gave anything against us, but he was just all round absolutely dreadful, so he must have been trying too hard to be even. Thought it was a pretty poor game all round with both teams defending well but neither team being anything other than below average up front, aside from that one fantastic save from Albinson. I'll accept 2nd place now if we secure it, but even that's not a given. Folk on here will see that as some kind of concession, but go back to August and find any post that said QP would finish top 4 let alone fight for the league.
