There's no doubt that people would be on here asking for subs had they not happened, but for me, disorganisation cost us more than tiredness.

But suppose the five subs do need to take place when they did:

74 minutes - Vale and Casey need to be withdrawn. Bring on Nicholson and Blaney and the other 9 players stay where they are.

84 minutes - Devine and Miller need to be withdrawn. Bring O'Donnell on for Devine, Shaw on for Miller and move Spittal (rather than Nicholson) back into midfield with Davor.

89 minutes - if Gent has to go off, surely Elliot could just about see out stoppage time with a settled defence.

I imagine we prepared for this game with players in a shape and structure we planned to play in. We went from making no changes in the first 74 minutes to ending the game with only 3 of our 10 outfield players in the position they started the game in so I would definitely say there's merit in the shout that changes were at least part of our undoing.

Of course, Wednesday is the bigger game but it's still helluva frustrating not to take anything from today.

Bang on and this is where my frustration lies with Kettlewell.

If a fan on a football forum can come up with this then surely a professional football manager should be able to.

I'm just going overboard on sentiment after an enjoyable weekend football wise, hospitality at my local team Stirling Albion yesterday with cracking food and drink to go with a 4-0 win, Celtic win in stoppage time albeit after a ropey performance especially in the first half then home to see Liverpool,  my favourite English team win the League cup with a 120th minute winner, also got a £300 coupon up yesterday so, now to finish the weekend in style with a Steak Pie supper 😎

I cringed so much reading this.

I've little against us losing like that, annoying as it is...we played well and took our chance when Celtic were poor, they upped it and won deservedly. Being so close makes it a pisser but still...play like that and we'll be fine.

Losing to Celtic is to be expected. Losing after being a goal up at half time isn't even that surprising. But having a point at 90 minutes but still contriving to lose by 2 fucking goals sums this mob up.

If both of these 'investors' can get into the sea, that'd be great.

Selling out to these ghouls to become some sort of investment vehicle is the beginning of the end for clubs like ours. What happens when ghoul number 1, the "streaming magnate", finds no one gives a toss about a club with no celebrity owners and bails? And when ghoul number 2 finds out that players from Australia, the USA and the middle east are all donkeys who they can't sell, even to mugs in League 1 in England?

The club may need investment but if that's the best on offer then I'd take relegation. The offer from @rowsdower  sounded more appealing.

Was about to post my own opinion but this pretty much sums it up for me.

  5. On Kelly, he clearly isn't going to be dropped but something needs to be done.

He's shown himself to be a good keeper at this level. I agree that his form in his initial loan spell was probably an anomaly in that he was playing out of his skin but I also don't think that his current position (statistically the worst keeper in the league) is a reflection of his ability. His mean level should be a solid keeper at our level which his current performance levels are way below.

You hear of sports psychologists being brought in when player's confidence is shot or they're going through a bad spell (on or off the park). I have no idea if this is something the club would consider or whether it would even work but it's surely worth a shot. Putting Kelly in every week while he makes mistake after mistake isn't fair on him or the rest of the team.

    This is fantasy.

Liam Kelly has made good saves, yes. He's had good games, yes.

His form dropped as of late? shite, was throwing them into the net V Raith Rovers a year ago. It's not something new.

He's made his name with saves for the camera, He's been shite forever barring the few months he was on loan.

He's fucking shite and always has been.

It's unclear from your post so just to clarify - do you not rate Liam Kelly?

  7. Add "chucking a 3 goal lead" to the things that this team of utter shitebags have managed to do this season.

There was a whole debate after the Morton game as to whether Kettlewell should go with a surprising amount of folk still backing him.

He's literally stood by and watched as we've chucked this tonight. He might b a nice guy and the players might like him but that shouldn't be enough to keep him in a job when, time and again, he's shown nothing beyond plan A.
