  1. This interview always makes me laugh. Ange will fight his corner. Could be entertaining to watch. Ange Postecoglou vs Craig Foster Argument (Full Interview) TWG.mp4 - YouTube
  2. Every word of Ange Postecoglou's Celtic sitdown as he urges the players and fans 'believe in me' - Daily Record
  3. Craig Moore and Tom Rogic who have had extensive experience in the Scottish game can only say good things about Ange. Time will tell as always if it works out. Craig Moore discusses Ange Postecoglou - YouTube
  4. The Bishkek pitch was the best Socceroos v Kyrgystan match to be played on dodgy pitch (thenewdaily.com.au)
  5. I wonder if Ange will bring these crazy glasses out for away trips to far off places like Tynecastle or Pittodrie. Innovation plus Socceroos and Honduras draw 0-0 in first leg; Socceroos v Honduras; World Cup playoff second leg in Sydney | The Courier Mail
  6. he's clutching at straws and arguing the toss about a managerial appointment for a team which plays in a league his team doesn't play in about a manager he seems entirely ignorant about even though he lives in the country where he made his reputation. Oh well.
  7. What I said was "The team Ange assembled lost 2-1 to France and drew 1-1 with Denmark. If your Gran has had better results, then getting her UEFA licence should be no bother and coaching the old firm should be a breeze " I didn't say that he was the manager in the World Cup. Do you not know about why he resigned?
  8. He made that squad. They played his style. He walked away as I said previously due to pressure from the press back home, which doesn't bode well. Do I read right that you are in WA and don't know all this?
  9. Yet his teams still won. Tbh Ange does his own PR, he doesn't need help. If he can win best of luck to him. Give the guy a chance.
  10. As Scotland well know, playing against South American opposition is so unpredictable on their day.
  11. wow, just wow. Suffice to say you have no idea about football in Asia or Postecoglou's past efforts. I'm glad you feel confident that your gran has a chance in World Cup Qualification and/or winning the highly prestigious SPL. Australia did indeed lose to France by one goal (2-1) which was the same margin that France had over both Belgium and Argentina before they won the thing (i.e. nobody beat France in WC2018). Australia drew with Denmark who lost out to runners up Croatia AET in the Round of 16. I cuts me deep to say this, but I only wished Scotland had that level of success in recent times. Here's hoping we beat up the Czechs, Croats and smash the English at Wembley on our way to the future.
  12. Doesn't sound like you have much of a clue about how AFC qualifying works then. Japan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and South Korea are the real challenges. They have two group phases as opposed to UEFA's one. The teams you mention were well beaten in the first group stage. Just the geography of AFC qualifying is ridiculous, not the mention the playoff against Honduras in 2017 under Ange's watch which involved about 60 hours of flights all told, not just a wee jaunt over to the continent... My observation has been then European teams doing UEFA qualifying have a much more pampered experience. No massive issues with sabotage and unplayable pitches. like in Bishkek and Dushanbe which make your average SJFA pitch look like Hampden. The team Ange assembled lost 2-1 to France and drew 1-1 with Denmark. If your Gran has had better results, then getting her UEFA licence should be no bother and coaching the old firm should be a breeze
  13. Yet they have so much more than the rest of the Scottish Premier League. Not sure how a foreign manager can earn their stripes in Scottish Football other than go into the Old Firm.
  14. true. I was merely pointing out that their budgets are barely European records.
  15. fair point. Maybe I should have said that both Old Firm clubs have had plenty of managers who have previous European (I mean Scottish) managerial experience.
  16. The biggest budget in the land isn't exactly massive by European standards though.
