Based on that can't see Murray sticking it too much longer. Looked resigned to defeat long before it arrived and the statement from him of not being able to compete with the best players, which today he was nowhere near, it really does look like times up. One last push until Wimbledon?

The Partick Thistle thread

I have to say, this was my first thought. Muirhead has been a great servant to the club over two spells but he's never eradicated the silly wild lunges and losing his temper too quickly. I'll be honest, I didn't expect him to play as much as he has this season but that is largely due to Williams taking a bit of time to find his feet. -

The only aside to this would be that hearts have at least 2 defenders away with Australia on international duty for at least the next 3 weeks so may want some cover. Hopefully not. -

That's a terrific signing. A significant upgrade on Muirhead and will hopefully stop the stream of goals we have conceded so far this season -
Partick Thistle vs Arbroath - 6th January 2024
jaggyness replied to R&Y99's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Arbroath making this ridiculously easy for us. We haven't had to be particularly good but nice to score a few goals. Fitzpatrick been the star man today -
QP vs Pars - Fri 5th Jan

This really is a dreadful spectacle isn't it? -
Depending on who you believe Mitchell is either injured (club) or fallen out with the club (fans) but I would imagine he would only be moving on from us if we're able to bring in a new number one this window

All of this. And what's worse is that the defence clearly have lost confidence in Sneddon as well. Although I agree with the posts calling for an upgrade on Muirhead. He played us into trouble and then dives into a stupid tackle at the free kick for second goal. He's always been too rash but that was unforgivable today.

Bama vs Michigan in the Rose Bowl from 10pm tonight should once again be an absolute cracker for the Cotton Bowl

Suppose the big thing is, does AJ have it in him to really challenge for another world title? Commentators talking about him fighting Hrgovic next, fine, but then what?

Michael Max just come out with the profound statement that "goals will determine the outcome of this game" -
Confirmed good guys are Albion Rovers and East Stirlingshire and Lithgy

The best signing we've made in the last decade is Scott McDonald. I know he was a GC signing and played in a stinking team but he was someone who was far too good for the level we were at. However, Graham has been a critical part of our team for at least the past 3 seasons, his goals tally reflects this. -
West of Scotland championship maybe

The fact that we have thistle fans trying to normalise this a week after the club had a whole weekend dedicated to hergametoo is, quite frankly, disgusting. I say this as someone who used supporters buses through the noughties. The fact that anyone is taking heat for condemning this sort of behaviour is wild. And before anyone jumps on my case, they way through this is educating the young people involved, not spoiling the atmosphere that they create at games which has largely been excellent for the last 18 months or so.

Obviously I'm thankful for the investment from the McClymont led group. BUT, I do agree with @jagsfan57 that either the fans should have been consulted over the removal of Alistair Creevy or the Trust/club need to explain more than there was a dispute we couldn't resolve. As the club statement recognises Alistair literally kept the club going at the end of last season. I would feel less uneasy if they could be more open about the reasons for his removal (I realise there may be legalities on both parts that have been agreed that prevent this but still) -
Yep. I'm struggling to think of a worse Australia team in my lifetime. Yes they're missing Skelton but still.

Anyone else think Zhang vs Usyk is an extremely interesting fight? Only delay may be whilst awaiting the outcome of Dubois camp appeal into the last fight? I think Fury beats Zhang, does Usyk? I'm not convinced

Standard of refereeing - All time low?
jaggyness replied to lwh's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
So the referee who had one view got a decision that you now, presumably after watching countless replays, agree was correct and it's the refereeing standard that's poor? Ok. -
It's never happened that's why. Indeed no one team has ever won all the GTs in a single year
