We should be looking to League 1 & 2 for players who would comfortably make the step up to the championship and fit into our style of play.

I'm not for a minute suggesting we shouldn't do this but look at the recent examples where we've done this. Lyons, Dowds, MacIver, Charlie Reilly. We've not had a huge amount of success. Milne and Turner are obvious exceptions. I think it's just too simplistic to say that is what we should be doing, we should be looking all over for the best available player not only trying to discover players who might make it.

Well to be honest I would have been going but you have an old firm game on and then Liverpool v Man Utd game on the same day and the wind is still mental outside.  It would have been so different if those games were not on

Which is fine for a neutral but EK sold out a game against Hamilton earlier this season so for them to not show up now is poor

Wouldn’t say anyone has an easy run in, hopefully stenny have the league won by the time they come to us and east fife can’t get play offs either.

Surely, Stenny will be home and hosed by the time any of you face them which throws a slight curve ball? I think if Stranraer can avoid defeat to you on Saturday then they have marginally the least difficult run in.

  4. I tell you something. If John-Lewis was investigated after the Taylor Catterall fight then Foster should be getting investigated for scoring that 9 rounds to Clarke, that's a shocker.

I think if we avoid defeat against the Pars on Saturday coming then that puts any notion of them overtaking us more or less to bed - 8 points ahead with 4 games is too much for a team who aren’t exactly consistent. I’d then say it’s very unlikely that both Airdrie and Morton make up the ground as well, especially as they’re playing each other this weekend.

I said before yesterday that if we won our home games we'd finish third. Given we have 3 tricky away games remaining (albeit the DU game may be a dead rubber for one/both of us) I think anything we can get from the games at EEP and Starks are welcome. In reality I think 5 points from here would be enough for third

AFAIK it doesn't work like that. The only route from the EOS is to the Lowland League.

The only way to get promoted to the HL is from one of the three northern Tier 6 leagues

Thanks. It definitely works going the other way. Can't see the likes of Gala and Gretna (if they survive) being happy about having to travel to Perth for league games but sucks to be them in that case.

Next two games against the league's bottom two....what could possibly go wrong ?.

Defence looked better yesterday, however, we need to me more clinical up front and improve our woeful  and wasteful corners and deadball situations. .

This is the thing. I think if we get 6 points from the next two games we'll be 4th at worst this season. But the jekyll and Hyde nature of our performances all season is really not filling me with confidence.
