  1. Leith Ath 3-1 Blackburn United East of Scotland 1st Division. Friday night under the lights at Meadowbank. Bit of an ill tempered game that saw both teams reduced to 10 men. Leith’s keeper was first to be sent off for aiming a headbutt at Blackburn forward just before half time with score at 1-1. Blackburn were probably better team prior to the red card but once they went down to 10 Leith started to play some nice football and deserved to take the lead. With the tackles that were going in and the yellow cards being shown it was inevitable that another player would be sent off and Blackburn were eventually reduced to 10 just before full time.
  2. Might have stopped hurting by then. Probably not though.
  3. I miss Robbie Gould.
  4. Not capitalising on these turnovers is going bite us in the arse.
  5. This is killing me. 9ers playing well but not putting up enough points which is going to bite us in the arse soon.
  6. Yesterdays Spartans v Elgin City programme. Spot the deliberate mistake.
  7. Spartans 1-2 Elgin SPFL League 2. With a combination of work then weather taking care of my original choices for today was left with this one as plan D today. First half was pretty uneventful with Spartans having more of the ball but creating very little. 2nd half both teams played with a bit more urgency and game was end to end. Elgins 1st was a lovely strike. Their winner scored with almost the last kick of the ball probably gives them enough of a cushion over Clyde that they are probably safe from the play off.
  8. Tonight’s Bonnyrigg Rose v Elgin City programme. Decent effort and good value for £2.
  9. Bonnyrigg Rose 2-0 Elgin City. Comfortable win for Bonnyrigg with a goal in each half enough to see off an Elgin side who only really showed any attacking threat once they were 2-0 down. Every time I come to Bonnyrigg there always seems to be another ground improvement. Just a pity they can’t do anything about the slope on the pitch.
  10. Tranent 4-1 Broxburn Athletic South of Scotland Challenge Cup 3rd Round. 5th in the Lowland League against 1st in East of Scotland Premier so was expecting this to be a close game but Tranent controlled the game from start and probably could have won by more. Broxburn didn’t really offer any attacking threat until already 4-0 down.
  11. Leith Ath 5-0 Rosyth East of Scotland 1st division. Comfortable win for Leith which moves them further away from the relegation places although they have played a number of games more than the teams below them. First goal was best if the night with a great free kick from Leith number 30. About 100 in attendance.
  12. Don’t get the anger being directed at Gunn he is just some who has taken a (probably) well paid promotion to a job he is possibly not qualified for. Something most of us would do. I would think anger should be directed at the person who appointed Gunn as director of football. As some one said above one positive is we have kept hold of Miovski. Really thought he would have been away this window and very pleased to hold on to his goals until the summer.
  13. I like Romo and usually find Olsen a bit irritating but he was okay last night.
  14. No idea how we did that but f**k it we are going to Vegas. I better get the Monday off.
  15. I am stunned at this score after the first half.
  16. Agreed and Bosa is being held repeatedly and it’s not being called.
  17. How the actual f**k are we back in this.
  18. Greenlaw looks to have bad injury. ETA Looks fine now.
  19. McCaffery gets rushing touch down for 9ers.
  20. Wilks has made the defence progressively worse as the season has gone on. He should have been sacked at the bye week.
  21. Today’s Hutchison Vale v Kinnoull programme.
  22. Hutchison Vale 3-0 Kinnoull. Not as easy a win as the scoreline suggests. Kinnoull were better team in first half but squandered a number of chances and were punished when Hutchison Vale scored just before and after half time which seemed to knock the stuffing out of Kinnoull. Hutchison Vale were comfortable after that and could even afford to have a penalty saved before scoring a third late on. Both teams played nice football at times and Kinnoull did not look like a team that are struggling to avoid relegation. Was an entertaining game and good way to pass a Sunday afternoon.
  23. St Johnstone v Aberdeen programme from last night. Double issue for their home game against Motherwell on Saturday.
