  1. General help needed for me as well. My home laptop is getting slower and i need a new one that i can also use for work. I don't tend to do much more than surf and work on it as my work stuff is on a virtual desktop but having Office apps is really useful. Being a pain i'd like to try and have a dvd/ blu-ray drive as i tend to do bits of photo editing and take tihngs from old discs.
Seen a few Acers etc and had a look on the Dell website but unless i'm willing to spend 700+ then i'm struggling to see something that ticks all the boxes...any ideas?
It might be worth looking at sticking a ssd drive into your existing laptop. Can get a 500gb for around £35 at the moment and may significantly speed up your laptop, although if its really old it may need replacing.

  3. Dowds’ contract is up I think so it seems like he’s been offered another deal. I’d have been happy to see him go as he offered very little last season.
Keena also didn’t offer much last season even when fit. He clearly has more potential than Dowds but that doesn’t mean much if he’s not playing like it for us.
I've seen a few folk on here mention that they'd keep Keena due to his previous goalscoring record with other clubs.
Not sure whether that's one of those misconceptions that everyone assumes to be correct because other than a decent loan spell with Queens Park 3 years ago he doesn't seem to have set the heather alight anywhere else.
Not saying that he won't come good for us as Rory Loy had a pretty dreadful scoring record before coming to us the first time. Screenshot_20210608_061408.jpg
  4. There's an advert that keeps coming up when viewing this site for the National Lottery that blasts out a tune every time you scroll past it, even if you mutesld it the last time. Proper annoying.

  5. I'm just now getting into F1 due to watching the Netflix series.
My next step was to look at the game but it's still 60 quid on the PS store which is the same price they want for 2021 which isn't far from release. Do we think it will be worth waiting or that EA will make a c**t of it anyway so just get 2020 now?
I think F1 2020 is on a free to play weekend this weekend. Might be worth downloading and hammering it over the weekend to see if you like it or not be for esplashong the cash.
  6. Been working my way through my aldi haul over the last week or so.
Currently having the Tropical VL from Stewart Brewing. This is one that I was looking forward to but the inclusion of coconut flavour gives it a weird almost soapy taste. Prob my least favourite

  7. We could do a lot worse. I think McCann, Grant or Murray would all be decent enough appointments that are realistic. Admittedly none of the above are earth shattering exciting picks.
McCann has done alright taking over Robertson's ICT team for half a season, but his only other managerial experience is at Dundee where he lost over 50% of the matches (albeit in the Premier league).

  8. This is the fear, is anyone genuinely thinking the likes of Grant, Petrie, Ian Murray etc actually has the ability to build a new team from scratch with us?

It just seems too unlikely for me, we probably need to pay over the odds and get someone over qualified for this level to come in and correct course putting in some solid foundations.

To be brutally honest I can't think of many/any realistic possibilities off the top of my head that would fill me with confidence, even if we were willing to splash the cash (which we won't).
  9. Fierce Blackberry tart....

Its.... Nice enough I suppose. I dont think im having that this is beer though. The kettle souring gives it a dryness that takes it even closer to cider than the fruit flavours already do. Not a bad drink, if you handed me it and said try this blackberry cider id have reviewd it in much the same way.
I felt much the same about the Roisin from Williams Bros, really enjoyed it but flavour wise was more like a fruit cider than a beer. Although might need to pick up a couple more just to double check the taste!
  10. I'm not  a fan of drinking different beers in one session, I prefer to stick to one variety.  Funnily enough, I'm the same at buffets, I dislike putting a lot of different types of food on the same plate in one go.
To be fair I've got a 8 week old baby in the house so a session is out the question these days.
  11. First trip to 'Barrys' Paisley store today. Decent selection but not as good as the pics I've seen of the Cathcart one etc although the Paisley shop does have all the beers in a fridge.
Anyway picked up these 4 to try but got a feeling ill be back later in the week to sample some more. IMG_20210419_130219.jpg

  12. Jamie Redknap does an excruciatingly bad advert for Skechers on the radio at the moment, badly written and terribly delivered. It sounds like something they would do on one of the tasks in the apprentice.
