1. Equilibrium
I thought this was cool as f**k when it came out. In my defence, I was 17 and an idiot.
Patrick Bateman/Paul Allen plays a Grammaton Cleric, a type of stoic badass government enforcer. You see this movie tries to weld 1984 and Brave New World together to come up with something slightly newer. There has been a WW3, and the government of this place (Libria, where the survivors of WW3 now live) have decided that feelings are to blame. As such, feelings are outlawed and everyone must take a daily injection to suppress them. The Grammaton Clerics spealise in hunting down 'sense offenders', those who dare to feel.
A big hook of this film was the ludicrous 'gun-kata', a frankly laughable bag of shit that sees a person fire two guns at the same time whilst flailing their arms around. Did I mention that they stand still whilst doing this? They do, and yet no one can shoot them back for some reason. The 'gun-kata' is used often and usually by Bateman, usually when he's surrounded.
Anyway, after Bateman/Allan's cleric partner, Alex Trevelyn from Goldeneye (how did he survive the fall off of that big aerial?), starts skipping his daily injections (it's called 'Prozium II') he begins to feel, the big fucking softy. He's swiftly found out and Patrick himself kills him.
BUT...this plants a seed of doubt in Bateman's mind. One day he accidentally spills his vial of Prozium II and skips his daily injection. Gradually he begins...TO FEEL!
He gets a new partner who in turn begins to suspect that Bateman is feeling. Bateman soon gets involved with the resistance, who plan to overthrow the tyrannical government, lead by Robert The Bruce, who is the direct conduit to 'Father' (the narrator from Masterchef), the benevolent overseer of Libria.
Anyway, shit goes down. There are double crosses, triple crosses, sword fights, gun-kata, big reveals, gun-kata, a cute puppy, folk incinerated, gun-kata, a whole lot of silliness and more gun-kata.
A very silly movie.
I remember seeing this years ago and thought it was a lot of nonsense, and then Brian Connelly turns up halfway through it which just made it weirder!
2. See Henderson can play in the middle of the park so I wouldn't be adverse to that. Need to find a way of getting all our better players on the park at the same time, Mccann showed last night what me and ShaggerG have been raving about like lunatics for the last few months.
I understand what your saying about getting all our best players on the pitch at the same time but I'd honestly rather have a decent formation/system in place and having the best players that suit that system playing.
No point in shoehorning players into positions they're not suited/comfortable with or changing our system just to get all our 'better' players on the park at the same time.
3. Is it worth taking the time to fly to Kruger to do a safari there vs one of the options closer to Cape Town? From the reviews online it seems like it is.
We done a 4 day safari when we were there at Naledi game lodges which is in a private game reserve (not Kruger). We absolutely loved it, the reserve was big enough and plenty of animals, we saw 4 of the big 5 whilst we were there.
It's a 2 hour flight to a place called Hoedspruit and then another 30 mins transfer to the lodge.
The staff at our lodge were saying it's often better to do a safari at a private reserve instead of Kruger as there are so many safaris taking place in Kruger that you can sometimes be one of maybe twenty vehicles parked up watching the same pack of animals whereas at our one there was maybe only one other vehicle there at the same time.

My sister did a safari somewhere near cape town when she was there however said it was more of a 'Blair Drummond' style Safari park with the lions being in a different section to the gazelle etc.

If you want any more info just give me a shout.
4. Been trying to unlock as many player packs as possible so been doing plenty of challenges and trying to hit milestones etc.
Just started one there whereby I was to win X amount of FUT live friendlies with silver only players (the live friendlies has a specific comp for silver only players), first game I get spanked 5-1and it turns out the guy I'm playing somehow has a midfield duo of De Bruyne and Pogba whilst I'm fielding a team of journeyman Portuguese and Dutch players playing in the Greek and Japanese leagues!

5. Matt Haywood has left the Clan after 12 seasons, reading his statement on twitter it seems as though he was only getting a contract if we couldn't get anyone better in so he decided to go elsewhere which is fair enough really.

6. Do you think the laryngitis excuse is genuine? My sister works for the NHS and they were offering tickets for it through some sort of NHS reward scheme for £12. I was at a Josh Taylor fight a few years ago where they curtained off the top tier, probably 4 or 5 thousand if the remaining seats were filled.
They were also doing 2 tickets for £30 via itison the week before it was on as week.
7. Downloaded this on PS plus a couple of weeks ago after getting a PS5 and was actually really enjoying it (FIFA 17 was the last one I played and had never bothered with FUT before), this was until last night where I seemed to lose the little bit of ability I had, all my players have the feeling of running through treacle compared to the opposition who can cut open my defence with one pass almost every time.
I know the biggest problem is that I'm generally abit shite at it but it's bloody annoying me now!

8. As Gav says , he's out of contract, and there's no indicating whether we'll offer him a new deal. We've been in terrible form recently although we've had some horrendous injuries and won the diddy cup. Even after the Goodwillie situation, he's got a lot of credit in the bank.
Fair enough, didn't realise he was out of contract in the summer.
9. Cameron has signed on for another year as coach of the Clan.
This can only be a good thing as we haven't started the season with the same coach for the last 5 or so seasons. He will hopefully be able to hold onto the core of the squad and supplement it with better players now he's abit more familiar with the style of the league and will have a full preseason to recruit players.

10. The lamb tikka garlic chilli is my go to from there are it is truly amazing. A man of good taste.

I keep telling folk, we are lucky to have the Sanam in Falkirk. Its a top level curry house.
Is the quality of their lunch menu different from their a la carte? We've been a couple of times for lunch with my parents and I've been pretty underwhelmed both times.
11. I played it, completed the main story and deleted it off my PS5.
It was fine and relatively fun to play but tbh I had a podcast on in the background while I was running about for the most part. Far Cry 5 was absolutely tremendous. I picked that up on sale for a fiver in lockdown 2.0 and played the hell out of it. The storyline, characters and gameplay were all excellent. Then they released New Dawn as a "sequel" and it was...a bit shite. Then, incredibly, they seemed to lean more on New Dawn than 5 for inspiration here.
I played 5 for a couple of hours but found that I couldn't walk more than a hundred yards without a vehicle full of enemies driving past and ending up in a shootout with them and either using up all my ammo or dieing.
Might go back to it at somepoint and give it another bash.
12. Decided to working on getting abit healthier/fitter after being a lazy b*****d for the last couple of years and putting on just under 2 stone.
Obviously eating healthy is a big part of this and I'm going to do more exercise, mainly gym classes (bootcamp/spin type of thing) and out running when weather permits.
Has anyone used any of the paid on demand gym workout apps like Fiit or Peleton? Are they any good?

13. I’ve been watching The Sinner. Stars Bill Pullman. Series 1 was fantastic. Series 2 a bit meh and series 3 also fantastic. Starting the final series this weekend.
If you like dark, psychological crime thrillers  you’ll enjoy.
Thought 1 was really good, 2 was decent and 3 was fairly dreadful.
Not sure if I'll bother with season 4.
14. Is it a book per episode or some long drawn out thing?
P.S. He always seemed quite upbeat with the ladies in the books, men he generally just battered!
The first series (8 episodes) is based the first book with bits of some of the Reacher short stories mixed in, not quite sure how that's going to work, possibly just filling in abit more backstory.
15. Watched the first episode of Reacher last night. Seems positive so far and the lead actor is the type of guy you'd expect to play Reacher (not Tom Cruise). I'd say that Reacher seems to be a more upbeat character in the TV series than I took from the books.

16. Appreciate its early days for Rennie and his signings but it actually looks like we have a manager who can identify the problems in the team and then go out and find players to fix that problem.

Also is it abit strange that we've signed more players from Livingston on the few weeks since Holt left than the entire time he was here (although I know there's the brief Kenny miller link with Livingston).

17. Hope not. I think McCann's a very exciting player when played at WB. The new laddie's only 18 so I can see him as back-up with Watson, Dixon and ATS as a back 3.
I don't think that Hall or McKay will be going anywhere either as I can't imagine who would want to take 2 CBs that are surplus to requirements at a L1 club, not unless a Stirling Albion or a Stenhousemuir want them which would mean us still paying the bulk of their wages.
To be fair we were playing players like Stephen Kingsley and Murray Wallace at Championship level when they were around 18 years old.
