  1. It was clearly an achievement qualifying for the current tournament (assisted by reaching the play-offs under McLeish). Also the performance against England was very good. Overall I'm a bit disappointed by our displays in the Euros and there are already concerns about World Cup qualifying. However, I don't think for one second that Clarke should be sacked at this point. We'll see how the World cup games go.
  2. Not seen much of Zander Clark but ever time I do he seems decent? Clark is one that crossed my mind but, like yourself, I've not seen a huge amount of him.
  3. Any sign of any young(er) keepers? We have 3 ageing goalies in the squad, at least one of whom is a reserve at his club.
  4. Actually Lord Bannatyne made it clear in the ruling about the bet that Rangers continue, having been sold to the new company. It is correct that we weren't relegated, meaning in this case that we didn't enter the other league due to our points total. We left the SPL and joined the SFL following votes - and votes are no proof of anything other than the opinions of those voting (or their fans).
  5. Port Vale fans are saying the fee was £170,000. Plus we got a fee for Gilks.
  6. I thought Cook should probably have stayed on till after the Ashes but if he's basically had enough so be it. We'll see how Root gets on. I'm not sure how much captaincy experience he's had.
  7. England lost 8 wickets for 8 runs - and the match! A complete shambles. But credit to India.
  8. In the final T20 England put India in. Kohli run out in the second over.
  9. I reckon we can take some credit for developing Ross McCormack. He was with us between the ages of about 14 and 20.
  10. If the deal is confirmed we'll have brought in a young keeper who might develop and let go an older guy (who apparently wanted first-team action, which is understandable).
  11. A narrow win for India with England unhappy about the umpiring. I didn't see it all but I was surprised that England hadn't wrapped it up before it got to the last over.

    Suits

Yep, back tonight in the UK.
  13. In the second T20 India are 56-2 after 8 overs having been put in.
  14. Very sad news that Billy Simpson has passed away. RIP. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/rangers-legend-billy-simpson-passes-9703367
  15. A comfortable win for England who restricted India to 147 and knocked off the required runs without much bother.
  16. Things going quite well for England at the moment in the T20, with India 103-5 after 14 overs.
  17. Sadly, Scotland have lost to the UAE by 4 wickets in the Tri-Nations Series. Berrington made 50.
  18. Scotland beat the Netherlands by seven runs in the Desert T20 Challenge in Abu Dhabi. Josh Davey took four wickets. Well done guys.
  19. Some decent injury news with Wallace fit, Garner hopefully just a few weeks away and Dodoo seemingly not too badly injured: https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/garner-back-within-month/
  20. England 219-3 after 37 overs in the first ODI having been put in by India. So, going quite well.
  21. "Stuart Broad produces one of the highlights of his career"? Hmm. A guy who's getting towards 400 Test wickets, took 8 for 15 in an innings against Australia, and scored a big Test hundred? Is that tongue-in-cheek? Anyway, well done to him.
  22. You didn't. The "owner and operator" (as defined by the football authorities) is the company which operates the football club. (Other companies can be involved as well of course as, for example, Murray International once was with us.)
  23. I'm sure this has been gone over umpteen times. The football club had a new "owner and operator" (as defined by the football authorities) i.e. a new operating company. The vote was about whether that new owner and operator could take on the holding of the SPL share (in line with SPL rules). Like I say, votes are just opinions.
