  1. Since the richly-deserved demise of HeHawHeHaw it's hard to believe there can be a more pointless contributor to these boards than McSnowflake, however Glen Minter here and that other spanner PhilYerBoots are utter wastes of bandwidth. Kill them with fire.
  2. Last I saw this weekends forecast is shite, so I'll get Mullach Clach a'Bhlair put of the way. Long ranger looks good for the following weekend though so time for a return to the Alder Hills hopefully.
  3. Not going to believe that until BoredomGuy confirms it tbh.
  4. What a fucking shame. Most of these arseholes in Angus were hugely in favour of leaving the EU and had Kirstene Hair billboards adorning their fields. It'll be absolutely delicious if some of these c***s go to the wall. No doubt they'll be going cap in hand to the Scottish Government expecting their losses to be mitigated. I hope they're told to get themselves squarely to f**k. I doubt it will be in the slightest. Universal Credit in it's current form is an utter shambles and barely workable. Chucking something like large scale farm labour into the mix will completely f**k it up.
  5. Oops. See, this is what happens when you're a lazy c**t and just go straight to the last page on a thread.
  6. There's another crucial factor that requires to be taken into consideration regarding any thoughts on Ciftci joining us (other than him being a bitey mink). Mainly of course, that he's fucking shite. He's spent over a year warming Celtic's bench, probably getting shiter. Get him and indeed any thoughts of signing him, into the fucking sea. I'd take GMS though, on condition he gets a less shit haircut.
  7. "Having a lovely dinner" Takeaway pizza and a couple of portions of chips from a shitty takeaway by the looks of it That looks more like the guy just grabbed Corbyn for a quick photo op rather than any sort of pre-arranged "dinner" tbh
  8. I suspect he's not exactly playing with a full deck of cards.
  9. It's a bollocks argument tbh. Footballers pretend to be injured because there's a potential advantage in it. Rugby players don't do it because there is zero advantage to it. I don't think holding up Professional Cycling as some sort moral "we're better than footballers" argument is a particularly good idea given recent history The bottom line is that professional athletes will do whatever it takes to gain an edge, whether it be footballers play acting to get another player carded, egg-chasers engaging in nefarious scrum activities, or pro cyclists firing into EPO. Worst of all, this sort of stuff will only encourage PB to keeping coming onto this thread.
  10. After a fairly quiet month hillwise (mainly due to shite weather and laziness) I've been out the last two weekends. THe two western outlying Fannaichs of A'Chailleach and Sgurr Breac on 30th June, then An Teallach in diabolical conditions for a mate's compleation on the Saturday. Loch a'Bhraoin (on the way up to 6 hours of shit weather on the Fannaichs) Compleation party between the An Teallach summits Yesterday was a much better day. Finished the Mamores with a hugely enjoyable traverse of the four eastern peaks. It's a biggish day of around 12 miles with 2000m+ total ascent, but only mostly good paths. The only minus points are the pathless 400m reascent to Binnein Mor and the atrocious steep grassy descent of the last peak, Na Gruagaichean, which turned into a total clusterfuck. Took the wrong line for the last 200m which meant following a deer fence through mud and ferns for half a mile to get to the exit track. Even then I missed the shortcut path back to Kinlochleven Coire an Lochain Binnein Mor's summit ridge Kinlochleven etc from Na Gruagaichean
  11. I try to avoid SYH places tbh. I think the last time was Crianlarich a couple of years back. Absolutely mobbed, kitchen area total chaos and stuck in a room with noisy wankers playing games on their phones. I tend to go for quietier bunkhouses or places I can get into through SMC membership which tend to be much better.
  12. Loch Ossian SYH? Almost every website says it's "Idyllic" I assume the reality is that it's facilities are pretty average, is always rammed full and is a fucking midge hell in summer?
  13. Just disagreeing with him is enough tbh, "What have you done to serve your country"
  14. There's a fucking belter of a guy that haunts the Evening Telegraph's Facebook page. He was *apparently* in the forces, as he mentions it in almost every single post he makes, and regularly replies to anyone who disagrees with his bigoted shite with sarcastic "thank you for your service" type-pish. A total no-righter. He was ranting about muslims a while back and I managed to upset him it seems.
  15. Mine also does this on an all-too frequent basis. Usually resolved by handing her a pair of earphones.
  16. Probably Strava. I use a Wahoo Fitness HRM chest strap which uploads data to my phone, which i then upload to Strava, but you can use Strava easily enough as a stand-alone app.
  17. Jesus, when did these adverts become so bad? It's almost enough to tempt me into a Platinum membership. They really can get themselves directly into the fucking sea.
  18. I think i may be tempted into getting one of these as well. I'm fairly scunnered with what has been a fucking shite wet and windy summer so far, so I'm tempted to invest in a Smart Trainer / Zwift combo. It'll also be good through the winter as it'll keep me fit for next year. It can't be any more boring than Spin classes 3x a week.
  19. An excellent rant on an Evening Telegraph article about some ex-army jakey up in court for threatening to kill "foreigners" ETA: Nothing on Facebook boils my piss to a greater extent than use of the word "wen". f**k's sakes, is it really that much effort in include the "h"?
  20. Plaque missing an apostrophe and "a" imo.
