  1. Mentioned already but this really is succinct and to the point. http://blogs.channel4.com/alex-thomsons-view/scottish-footballs-chance-saloon/2091 Perhaps the time is right and to rid Scottish Football of at least a good part of Scotland's shame. We will recover financially even if it takes some time but the value of no longer having to be subjected to the filth and bigotry of the Rangers support is immeasurable. No more Rule Britannia and Nazi salutes, no more FTP. This could be the best breath of fresh air the Scottish game has had for a century. Bring it on. No to newco!! End of!!
  2. David Longmuir is a prize dumpling. He is looking for clarity!!!!! Sorry David. You are the leader of the organisation (SFL) and you should be providing the clarity by stating here and now that the current rules do not allow a newco to be introduced into the set-up anywhere other than SFL 3. End of. All the blustering leads us to believe that you are looking for a way to pander to the pro OF lobby. You are a disgrace. His statement today is even stranger considering he said this 2 weeks ago, “It would be a newco scenario and the only way we could accommodate any new application would be to create a gap in the Third Division through the play-offs with teams shuffling up,” said Longmuir “We would then judge every case on its own merits. There would be no provision for any newco Rangers to go into the First Division rather than the Third Division.” No to Newco in the SPL. If you want to re-organise the leagues (which is possibly in the better interests of the game, do that but aim for the start of season 2013 - 14 and get it right. Do not rush the job and create a monster because you are bending over backwards to save the blue half of the shame of Scottish Football.
  3. Are the fans of the gruesome twosome really surprised that the majority of Scottish football fans hate what the Ugly Sisters represent. Years of disgraceful bigotry and treating other clubs with disdain in terms of asset stripping for peanuts, often to see the players acquired sit on the bench, have led to this. We have an unprecedented opportunity to move the Scottish game in the right direction. Has anyone listened to this PODCAST: Rangers newco face SPL wilderness http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/videos-pics/2012/06/26/podcast-rangers-newco-face-spl-wilderness-86908-23901091/ How these OF apologists are too frightened to accept that the fault lines in the Scottish game are due to the In-firm is beyond me. To continue to suggest that the game will suffer if Rangers are punished appropriately is as factually inaccurate as it is ridiculous. Rangers will shortly not exist. Fact. Sevco 5088 may apply for SFL membership as the door to the SPL will be closed. They must start at the bottom as it makes a mockery of fairness and sporting integrity for them to start anywhere else. If the game is re-organised into SPL 1 & 2, Sevco 5088 must not be allowed to join. Simples.
  4. I would hope that "NO Newco in the SPL" would mean exactly that whether it be SPL1 or SPL2. We have come too far to be sold down the river by our chairmen. If my club is party to allowing a re-organisation to take place now to let Rangers into SPL2 after years of ignoring the same proposal, I will be finished with Scottish football. On a more positive note, it looks like SFL1 clubs are building momentum to vote against Sevco 5088 joining them so not all is lost.
  5. If Sevco 5088 want to carry on the Rankgers tradition, they should accept a degree of punishment as reparation for the wrong doings of the old regimes. Particularly as the taxpayer and others have been stiffed. It will stick in the craw of every fair minded person that they (as taxpayers) have been right royally shafted but the Green Consortium plan to bank roll Sevco 5088 to the tune of millions of pounds, money which could and should have been used to pay off some of the debts. So many contradictions. We'll keep our traditions and honours but you can't punish us as we are nothing to do with the old club. Even more strangely, Sevco 5088 would appear to be entitled to the outstanding part of the Jelavic transfer money from Everton but do not have to pay the money Rangers owe Rapid Vienna!!! How does that work? Hope you followed tradition by destroying a Herfy Handbag prior to the Apfelkorn.

  7. Excellent stuff. Crowds in Scotland Div 1 are much higher than in the RoI but that is in part because lots of Irish footie fans travel to the UK to watch Ceptic and Manure. Well Done, Mate. It will be good to see the Well added to the list of clubs that say, "No". Interestingly their gates may rise if all the bears go to watch their local teams.
  8. Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee United, St Johnston, Hearts and Hibs. All said NO Who said their wasn't an East/West divide? Go on, Killie, Motherwell, Saint Mirren and Celtic. Prove me wrong!!
  9. Well said. The 1st division clubs and their fans have to step up to the plate too to ensure that the only way into the top leagues is via the 3rd division. Otherwise, this will have been a big con and I and many others will feel hugely let down. He maybe underestimated the effect of fan power. The fans of all clubs are speaking out against the newco into the SPL and now they are speaking out against the newco being put into Div 1. Maybe it would be best if they were just not given an SFA licence and allowed to die quietly.
  10. Dear Shareholder/Season Ticket Holder, There are three options to which you should respond 1 - YES - the "New" Rangers FC should be admitted to the SPL in order to avoid the SPL being in breach of its contractual obligations to "Sky" and other commercial partners 2 - NO - the "New" Rangers FC should NOT be admitted to the SPL under any circumstances, regardless of the consequences for Kilmarnock 3 - YES - subject to the "New" Rangers FC accepting a range of sporting and financial penalties (short of exclusion from the SPL) for the wrongdoing of the owners of the "Old" Rangers FC AND undertaking to support reform of the SPL's voting structure, the "New" Rangers FC should be admitted to the SPL. Please include 1-YES or 2-NO or 3-YES in your subject heading which will help us to evaluate the responses Yours sincerely, Michael Johnston,Chairman, Kilmarnock FC League Cup Winners 2012 I think we are all capable of working out by now that voting, "No" will have serious financial consequences for every SPL club and may result in administration for one or more. I emailed my club and the board and did not renew my season ticket until a statement was made. I am prepared to contribute more in terms of merchandise, Arabtrust, United for Kids etc and I am also prepared to do what was suggested on this site and buy something from the club shop of every club who votes, No". Kilmarnock will not die if all SPL fans are prepared to put their money where their mouths are and help keep their clubs alive. If Kilmarnock or United or any other club go into administration as a result of this, we can at least be assured that it did not happen due to the wrongdoings of their respective boards. Our support will help our clubs through administration and beyond at whatever level that is. And with respect, Mr Johnston, there were Killie fans long before you got your sticky paws on the club and there will still be Killie fans long after you are dust. They are what makes the club, not you and not the the Old Firm sycophants of which you clearly are one.
  11. If this is true, then that is what should happen. 3 years in the wilderness followed by their application to join SFL3. Works for me.
  12. Ideally, Dundee would fill the gap left by Cheats FC. Promote from 3rd into 2nd and from 2nd into 1st and the gap in div 3 would be Sevco FC. Suspend them for a year but leave them in the league with the other 9 clubs awarded 3 points and a 3-0 win for every fixture against them. The following year, they can start playing their way back towards the SPL. That's assuming that the SFL elect them and not someone more deserving. I would prefer that the SFL tell them where to go too and the healing process of Scottish Football can begin in earnest.
  13. I really think this is a great idea and I would be prepared to do that. If we all buy food and drink when we go and an item from the on-line shop or the club shop when we visit, we would make a big dent in any deficit.
  14. "Rangers is wholly committed member of the SFA and SPL and fully respects their structures." So wait a second....Rangers FC is a member of the SFA and therefore agrees to be bound by its rules and regulations. Apart from the one that relates to the decision of the Appeals Panel being final and binding on all parties concerned. "The club, the administrators [Duff & Phelps] and most importantly the supporters have taken the view that any sanction against Rangers - due entirely to the misdeeds of individuals no longer at the club - should be proportionate." Couldn't agree more. The SFA must award a punishment that is meaningful, allows the wrongdoer to suffer the consequences of the wrongdoing and deters any others from going down the same road. Expulsion it is then!
  15. Assets should be sold to the highest bidder. What if that is CW who because he cannot be involved in football? He would have to lease the properties to other parties (which could have been his plan all along) or redevelop the land for non-football enterprises. The facade of the main stand would have to remain but it would be a very impressive part of any new structure.
