Having seen the two videos this morning, it appears to me that he’s struggling. He looks broken. It’s to his immense credit, in my opinion, that he feels able to come out and say that he can’t go on the way he’s going.
Not quite sure they’ll get someone in who dials into the Liverpool psyche in the way he has, without employing Gerarrd.

I still think there are valid questions to be asked, Troy. The finances are still an issue for me. I also still feel that a revamp off the pitch is needed, in relation to both the people in charge at the club and the LFL Trust.
Having said all that, I couldn’t agree more with you; hopefully on field stuff can take centre stage now.

Which is a nonsense frankly. I get that the current Trust set up isn’t up to scratch, and I understand the reasons why that’s the case, but all they’ve done recently is set people hair on fire with their messaging. To not follow that up is pretty irresponsible.

There’s also the (frankly ridiculous) cost of implementing the VAR system. The cost of implementing this is done on a sliding scale; the higher your previous league position, the more you pay. The cost is approximately 70k if you finish 12th.

On Monday 15th I went into her bank armed with PoA, my passport and my driving licence. Filled out a couple of forms, photocopies / scans taken in branch and last Friday I received my own debit card. Today the PIN arrived. The process could not have been smoother.
BTW, our PoA (Continuing & Welfare Power of Attorney) cost £350 +VAT. Possibly the best money we ever spent.

There was someone associated with the Trust there today and a few other fans.
Next court case is in Feb as it stands.

Re the Trust being there, I look forward to them disseminating to their members any relevant information in the appropriate manner, rather than it being drip fed to people anonymously.

Hmmm. I know I’m interested in what happens this week. I’m not sure how that would work given that the Trust is a shareholder, and that it is the link to Supporters Direct (although I’ve no idea whether that carries any weight or not).
I’m not sure our supporter numbers can legitimise a fully functioning supporters Trust if I’m being honest. Not one that wants to have a decent sized dog in any fight that is. We can only dream of the numbers achieved by Motherwell, Falkirk, St Mirren etc. It’s almost fifteen years since Massone and although our fan base is arguably younger (and perhaps bigger), there are still clear factions within it and local business people who can’t agree on the colour of shite.

There was a period where his goal scoring record was only a couple short of what Dykes achieved. At that time he was, in my view, indispensable.
There’s always been rumours about him having a poor relationship with the manager, so his lack of playing time and supposed departure are both depressing and unsurprising.
Good guy, good player (when on form), hope he thrives with you (apart from against us, obviously).
