  1. The thing for me HJ is that up until Friday, I was of the opinion that if you took away all the nonsense surrounding this story, it would surely be the case that behind the scenes the people that matter would be conversing openly and it would be almost organised chaos. Fast forward to Friday - the presser held by Kennedy and Murray (who have probably been as close to the centre of this as anyone), and the nonsense subsequently spouted by them and the admins since, has show me that behind the scenes nobody knows WHAT the f**k is happening.
  2. Read that with Jim Whites voice in your head. Priceless. "Gon on Brian, go on mate. In fact Brian - how comes you're so good?"
  3. Not long after this though, he appeared on Newsnight Scotland and told Gordon Brewer that a CVA would be likely, and it would be around 20-25p in the £. Take nothing that he, or anyone that works for his retarded excuse for a paper, says as gospel. It'll very likely be pish.
  4. His reply of "well, that would just be cruel" to the question of whether the HMRC would use Rangers as an example, suggest to me that he knows fine well that HMRC won't be pragmatic. They'll go for the throat.
  5. So, according to Brian Kennedy, the BTC is an irrelevance - yet in the next breath he says that there are "many uncertainties" with HMRC. What the actual f**k is he on about?
  6. Of course, it depends when you listen. Keith Jackson is normally on when Andy Gray is on, so it really is boys blue together. Today however, they gave up a large part of the Drive show (Adrian Durham and Ray Houghton) to Rangers, and I think I found myself agreeing with Adrian Durham for the very first time. Normally you get the feeling that what he comes out with is just nonsense to get a reaction, but today I got the feeling that he was genuinely thinking "they're trying to do WHAT? Wait a minute!". Which is of course, what most decent minded normal people are thinking. I have to admit it, I was near seizure inducing rage listening to Ray Houghton and his nonsense earlier on. It seems to me that there are various arguments and reasons for getting rid of Rangers (or at the very least handing down punishments that can actually be construed as such), whereas the sole argument for keeping Rangers is "cos they're Rangers, cos they're special".
  7. So Dunfermline, financially in the grubber that they are, go to lengths such as shutting one of their stands in order to try and balance the books. Hearts, financially in the grubber that they are, go to lengths such as selling their players and not paying wages until they have a home gate, in order to try and balance the books. Then we have Rangers, financially in the rubber that they are, go to lengths such as............................................. aw f**k it, you know where I'm going with this. Corrupt sumbitches, as Bill Miller would no doubt say. Lastly, I liked this wee nugget from someone who texted in to the BBC this afternoon. Laura from Glasgow said "We Rangers fans are so fed up with the mealy mouthed and hypocritical comments about ' football integrity' and 'shamed Scottish football' please shut up: we don't care for your opinions and to be honest they count for nothing in the real world". Charming eh?
  8. According to Chris McLaughlin on Twitter (and a few others), preferred bidders will be announced by Fluff and Whelps today.
  9. Without meaning to run the risk of incurring HibeeJibees wrath, because I'm sure he'll know exactly when deadlines will be etc - I can't help but feel that if it meant keeping Rangers (or anything resembling them) in the SPL next season, you would find that one poor team (probably United, seeing as they're tarriers and all) wouldn't have a clue who they were playing, right up until kick off - and then that mystery team would appear from the tunnel with a puff of smoke behind them. "Tonight Matthew, we're gonna be - Glasgow Rangers!!!!"
  10. Never mind all this 666 talk - hopefully Rangers die on page 777. Jackpot right enough.
  11. I normally listen to the Sportsound Podcast knowing full well that it's going to be teeth grittingly unbearable but I think tonights one, going by some of the comments on here, will be getting a swerve. Billy Dodds has been pretty unbearable during the whole thing, and I think it was Sunday night he was at his worst. He was saying "see, I've no idea why we're not supposed to say which team we support - I mean, Craig (Paterson) supports Hibs, you Richard (Gordon), you support Aberdeen. I've no problem with that." Of course he stopped short of saying that he himself is a dirty rabid Rangers b*****d. Someone should be pulling him aside and saying ", although they give off a different impression, you work for the BBC who decide that YOU should be impartial. THAT'S why.". I absolutely detest the wee cretin.
  12. You're quite correct, Livingston didn't have anywhere near the same size of debt as Rangers. What we did have though, was zero cash flow - the season had finished and when the administrator came in, he found that the club had absolutely no money at all. No function bookings, very little goodwill from the support since Massone had sucked the life out of it. Now obviously Rangers have their well documented problems, but they still have a huge support, who are dense enough to be spending money on them just now, and will probably continue to do so whatever incarnation of Rangers exists in a few months. On another point - all this laughing and pointing at Rangers Media is all well and good, and by Christ it's good - but I just wonder what the less cerebrally challenged Rangers supporters make of it. Threats to disrupt the cup final, demands for any bluenose be it fan or player to walk from the national team? Would the whole support really want those things? I'd wager that there must be some, who are pretty embarrassed by it.
  13. To my new followers - muchos grassyass!
  14. Yip, same here. Dunno the last time I bought a paper.
  15. Hope someone can help. We've just got a new kitten, and the wee shite is into everything - including crawling across my laptop keyboard. Now, when I use the arrow keys, the screen won't scroll up and down as normal. Instead, I have to click on the page (whatever page), and it brings up a small cursor, which will go down and up the page. Also, the Home and End key (which I normally use to go to the top or bottom of a page quickly) don't work at all. Anybody any idea what the wee shite has stepped on, and how I can sort it? Cheers. EDIT - sorted it! F7 was my friend. Ebony the kitten - is not.
  16. Have this link, as a token of my contribution to this, the greatest thread of all. Talksport, with Keys and Gray and J-J-J-Jackson
  17. Loving that link (would love to hear Mr Ng say that). His quote about the SPL stalling amounts to "it's cause we're Asian! It's personal!" He'll fit right fucking in.
  18. On the back of this, I started following her. After her tweets yesterday - thank you doesn't seem enough...........!
  19. Have they paid for that brass? Or indeed, the Mr Sheen to keep it clean?
  20. For the sake of bandwith, and not clogging up the thread, I won't quote it - but that list of creditors from welshbairn is an absolute mindfuck of a post. Is there anyone that they don't owe money to????? In all seriousness - have they been paying ANY bills in the last year or so? Absolutely staggering.
  21. There may have been screeds of utter nonsense spouted about how this will all end up, but by far the most nonsensical is the thought that there are still Rangers supporters who believe that whoever takes over their club will in fact be someone who has bottomless pockets, and will spend every last penny on the club because they ur troo bloo Rangers Men. Faceless money men is EXACTLY what they're going to end up with, Newco or not.
  22. I'd have thought it also quite worrying if Ticketus are involved. They'll have a huge, snarling dog in the fight to the tune of £20m ish, and as an investment firm, are they going to be interested in the normal machinations of a football club? SIgnings, form of the team etc? They'll want a profit on their investment, nowt more. If I were a Rangers fan I'd be quite perturbed at the thought of a group like that having a big say in things.
