  1. A chicken bridie is heresy. He should be burned at the stake or run out of town at least. That said his stuffs great so I will let it go.
  2. Any news on Jackson's concussion ? Can we "tell him he's Pele" or is he still out for a bit ? Lot to prove or disprove depending how you look at it.
  3. I agree. Sometimes after a fiasco like Sat a bit of a "cooling off" period before commenting might be wise. JWs been much better media wise than GB was and I agree he needs to be given a bit of time. As for Dick, I was torn but thought his time was up. Maybe looking at his current success he could have been given more time but there was no sign of an upturn whatsoever when he was axed. This season was always going to be tougher and there wasn't much room for any transfer letdowns and we appear to have made a lot of poor signings. Only coming into Nov though so a lot to play for yet and we are not adrift or anything. After 40 years of supporting the Loons I've seen this scenario a fair few times and hope this is one of the ones that turns out Ok in the end. Doubt home to Falkirk will be the turning point though..
  4. I would agree. He's done a pretty solid job up until now and it's a bit early to be thinking of sackings. Signing a load of Brechin players seemed trading downward and has proven so but he's done enough to get some time to sort it out.
  5. We need optimism for Methil. Barry paired up with our two new "commercial" managers could potentially gel and bag a few goals on Sat. Who needs strikers..
  6. To think at Dumbarton I thought Garry Irvine couldn't get arrested. How wrong I was..
  7. Burger King at Waverley was pretty quick to serve on Sat despite the march. Not really arsed how many were there but I've seen Edinburgh with 100000 plus in it and it certainly wasn't on Sat.
  8. A young John "Hen" Clark in the making ? To be fair for a wee while in the 2nd half he did cause problems and was presumably hooked to avoid a red card in the offing. Game died out after that.
  9. Missed the update on Vaughan just catching up now. That's dreadful for the guy after what he's already come back from. Wish him all the best and hope he can come back from this somehow. Tragic stuff like this is way beyond club rivalry just a terrible potential loss of talent from the game.
  10. I've mentioned it before but I was at primary school with Stephen Kerplunk as he was known in the early 70s. Couple of years older but did knock about with him briefly. He was a bit of an oddball but a good laugh at the time. I remember the Jehovah's Witness bit about him but a Tory MP was a long shot. Still find it hard to believe it's the same dude on the PPB.
  11. Hope Vaughan comes through ok. Never like to see any player go through this.
  12. Aye but we have dwarves up front so relatively speaking "giants". Think Forbes will do ok but the whole unit is misfiring at the moment. Enjoyed visiting the new ground despite the result though.
  13. Sat Falkirk Tapping flattered to deceive. Always looking busy with wee touches but going absolutely nowhere and no threat whatsoever. That said Falkirk were a big, fit, physical side who should be a bit better than this league so hopefully he will show something in the more bread and butter games. Sat would be a good time to start especially if Hilly is out with the knock from Falkirk.
  14. £12 to £15 tops. Phones acting up if Ive posted twice !
  15. Deserved Falkirk win in a scrappy game. The Loons played about as poorly as current form had suggested. Falkirk away is not really our best bet to start picking up points though so not that downhearted. £18 though ffs !
  16. I out two countries were brought closer together there would be no need for a bridge. Just a short paddle. About as likely as the bridge imho. Just a distraction tactic or some such.
  17. Is McBurnie an Aussie rules footballer ? He looks and plays like one.
  18. Aye. Maybe going to be a General Election apparently.
