  1. Everything about the film is absolutely mental. Like a fever dream. Does Cage, dressed as a bear obvs, not rampage around uppercutting a woman off a bicycle at one point?
  2. Inoue absolutely blew Donaire away there. Faultless performance.
  3. Is anyone watching the Inoue - Donaire fight? Looks like it's about to get going with the ringwalks coming up.
  4. As the Queen's latest jubilee approaches, a former palace aide has lifted the lid on just what went on at the Royals' legendary Christmas night parties. Highlights of these notorious yet secretive events would normally include - Prince Phillip downing a pint of gin in under ten seconds. - A bawdy version of GSTQ sung by the courtiers, done in the style of The Barron Knights/The Grumbleweeds etc. - Prince Edward's hilarious 'Men Of Jamaica' routine. - The Queen Mother performing her notorious egg in a pint glass trick.
  5. The Stephen Toast 'autobiography' on Audible is absolutely hilarious.
  6. What A Carve Up! By Jonathan Coe. Set in Thatcher era Britain and follows the lives of a vile aristocratic family through several generations. There are subplots involving a writer who has been commissioned to capture their story and a murder mystery of sorts, but it's mainly about the establishment, greed, Tory rule, entitlement, and the class system. Obviously intended to be a biting satire, I wouldn't be surprised if it's viewed as an aspirational manual by Tory MP's up and down the land. Very good read, would recommend.
  7. Fury must be absolutely raging at the result tonight. A fairly easy night's work and an absolute fortune down the drain now.
  8. Fury Wilder up next month, thoughts?
  9. Usyk vs Wilder would be an interesting fight. Joshua vs Wilder is a 3 rounder. Usyk vs Fury is a cagey shitfest.
  10. Not long finished watching this. There are obviously some pretty big plotholes but the whole thing fairly zips along at a good pace and is well worth a watch, shortish episodes too. Looking forward to where they go with season 2.
  11. Saw both of these over the last few days. Having just watched Des, it's scary how accurately David Tennant got Nilsen's voice and speech patterns. Bob Ross came out of the doc unscathed, questionable choice in granny banging aside he seemed like a genuinely decent guy. His son should stick a happy little tree up the Kowalski's arses though, they came across as awful, awful people.
  12. The local reporter/suspect is a very sinister individual indeed.
  13. So many great moments in this clip! Absolute bunch of lunatics, gets funnier with each viewing.
  14. This is my current phone. I've had it since Sept and can say I'm very happy with it.
  15. I'm up to episode six, quite enjoying it all. Moves along at a good pace, if a little jumpy between timelines. Also, the various sunglasses on display are very cool.
  16. Also, what was everyone's KO/TKO of 2020? Been a funny year and I've not been watching as much boxing as I normally would. Davis uppercutting Santa Cruz into 2021 was as good as I saw.
  17. Canelo was on a different level to Smith last night. Did pretty much everything right, fought the perfect fight. Height and reach difference wasn't an issue as he pressured and used the ring so well. Smith looked out of ideas from the second round onwards and was just hanging on by the end. Although a trilogy fight would be spicy, could see Alvarez easing to a wide points victory without too much bother now. Golovkin looked decent on Friday but he's undoubtedly past his prime. Who next for him? Saunders? Another change of weight?
  18. It's like a poster for a mid 70's disaster movie starring George Kennedy.
  19. Tales Of The Unexpected has looped right back to the first episodes again on Sky Arts. Lamb To The Slaughter is up tomorrow, featuring a remarkably restrained performance from Brian Blessed as well as the lovely Susan George.
  20. The ones that are on just now (series 7?) are pretty lame compared to the peak ones. Always good for spotting character actors like John Duttine though.
  21. Davis practically decapitated Santa Cruz there!
  22. Vengeance - A Love Story. This might well be one of the worst films I've ever seen. Nic Cage in a bad wig absolutely phones in his performance in an atrociously written Death Wish style vigilante story. It also contains the most outrageously bad courtroom scene committed to film. Ever. Fractionally redeemed by Don Johnson exiting the movie in full dandy lawyer suit on a Harley Davidson. 1/10.
