  1. Of course we should be keeping hold of players like him but when much bigger clubs than ourselves come in for players, offering much better wages than we can, they are always going to want to go. Mass overreaction here. Even if he did sign an extension in March for example, it would make feck all difference if a big club come in with an offer. Has it ever crossed anyones minds that we did offer Russell a really good contract but perhaps he turned it down, knowing that he had Premiership/Championship clubs fishing about. I've heard Swansea have been interested for weeks now. I don't expect we will get a massive fee for him. he has had a great half a season, but its only at League 1 Level. The Hamilton players mentioned above had 50/100 odd games in the top flight under their belt before moving on for good money. The club feck up quite often and deserve the criticism but in this case, this isn't one of them.
  2. A good run of results and you will be right back in the mix. Massive games every week right up until the end of the season now.
  3. Should Neil McCann not be in your dressing room right now instead of a sky studio??
  4. 319 back for a 25 quid bet on the 8 group winners to qualify for the quarters.
  5. You're right, we are Pish. Just think, if you had won your last two games against us, you would be top, shame use are Pish as well!
  6. Cowden and Raith were ahead of us in the league at this point last year so i don't think we need to panic just yet!!
  7. What the feck has happened to this thread?? Pile of absolute bollox now!!
  8. Third Goal- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNR3UW4fDBQ No other highlights kicking about i dont think.
  9. McNeil, Verlaque and Fulton are in the development squad, First team squad is the 20 above minus those 3.
  10. Hate that saying- it always pops up when the old firm gets beat as well- "they only won because they were shite" That St Mirren team was a very settled team who were well beaten by a better team on the day. FWIW, If you boys keep the defence tight you will def have a chance of staying up as St Mirren will leak goals every week with that defence.
  11. We beat Motherwell 3-1 but weren't too fussed as it was a friendly. Today was def not played like a friendly. Tackles were flying in all over the place and the players wanted to win just as much as the fans.
  12. He contacted Moore a few weeks ago but Moore told him he wasn't in the market for a centre half. That could well just be a way of letting him down gently though cause Moore said in the paper the previous day he was in for Craig Barr. Probably depends on the Reid situation. How did he do for you boys this season?
  13. We have Gaston, O'ware, Marko, Taggart, O'brien, Tidser, Fred,Campbell and potentially Reid and Stirling for next season. That's potentially 10 starters from last season, minimum 8. That should hopefully avoid the poor starts we always seem to have with brand new teams over the last few years.
  14. He is a right Mid I believe. Moore talked him up as someone he was interested in. Spent a lot of time in Perth/Alloa so probably stays over in the East. Greenock probably too far to travel.
  15. Both are running again apparently and should be in contention after the International break, believe it when I see it though. Hardie has been 2 weeks away since the start of July!! One that annoys me is Peter Mcdonald. Played the last game of last season, signs a new contract and hasn't been seen since. 5 months on and he still isn't training. He was involved in pretty much every game last year as well which is even more annoying!
  16. Look more like typical Morton, talking about deals in the press when the boy hasnt signed yet. This was from the Greenock Telegraph on the 21st May. ALLAN Moore is closing in on a move for Queen of the South midfielder Stephen McKenna - with a deal agreed in principle between the two parties. The 25-year-old, pictured, joined the Dumfries club from Airdrie United two years ago having progressed through the Rangers youth set-up. McKenna was a regular for Queens this season as the Palmerston outfit finished in fourth spot, making 32 appearances. But while the combative midfielder has agreed terms to join up at Cappielow when his contract expires later this month, Moore stressed the move was far from sealed. Moore said: "I have spoken to the boy Stephen McKenna from Queen of the South and we have agreed terms in principle. "But he can't sign a contract until his current deal is up, and until that happens he is free to change his mind and go elsewhere." http://www.greenocktelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/articles/2011/05/21/413548-mckenna-set-to-join/
  17. Is this whole livvy farce finished now, or is there a further hearing on the issue?? Tried to scroll through recent pages but getting nowhere.
