I do like the Merchandise Mart in Chicago simply for it's absolute behemothicity, if that's a word. Coming north over the bridge on the train it doesn't so much loom at you as it does simply become the entire landscape for a couple of minutes

And it's certainly not my favourite, but I do kind of admire the Metropolitan Correctional Center for looking just straight up evil. It's right across the street from the Department of Immigration building, which certainly sharpens the mind not to tell any porkies in a green card interview.

Always found these types of metropolitan block buildings in the states quite interesting, like the AT&T long lines building in Manhattan or numerous metro jails in cities. You’d walk straight past without a second thought unless you catch a glimpse from further away and wonder why there’s a block of flats or an office with no or very few windows.

He might well do. That doesn't necessarily mean Dundee are paying all his wages.

The point is, I don't know, you don't know, Harlowspider doesn't know, Jagfox doesn't know.

I mean who really cares?  Dundee, QP & Thistle have all benefitted to some extent from external funding in recent years,  as I understand it. Quite how any of us is entitled to take some sort of moral high ground against the others defeats me.

As your completely unsustainable funding is from a rich celtic fan on a mad ego trip, it’s not so much the moral high ground as the laugh at failure value.

Phenomenal performance, obviously biased but again McGregor was outstanding and the run by Tierney for the 2nd was like the Tierney i remember.

That wee drop shoulder utterly fudded Carvajal who thought he was going shoulder to shoulder for inside pass. Delightful 👌

  4. The only ace card they have that could potentially cause any significant disruption is who made the skin colour remark. They won’t ever use it though, and all the Hello magazine style gossipy shite will continue to be easily rebuffed / ignored by the firm and subjects of normal island.

Piss or get off the pot ffs.

Yeah.... Does Collum account for 5% of referees, because he very clearly loves the attention.

In all honesty, whether or not its attention seeking I dont know, but a refereeing bugbear of mine is making a big show of stopping the game to have a lengthy talk to a player before taking no action. There are other examples of referees opting to interrupt the flow of a football match and I really hate it.

Dallas v2.0 also regularly guilty of this imo.

Look, they just want a deeply personal moment between themselves and the corpse of someone they’ve never met.

Guaranteed some of these weirdos will genuinely consider shuffling past the coffin as the time they met her.

I really hope the team don’t go into this with the attitude it is a dead rubber. Doing that has the makings of disaster written all over it.

Memories of the Morton / Brian Wake last game of season dead rubber for us / must win for them, during McCall's last tenure. A similar performance and it could get twitchy.

Two goals in six games tells our story.  Our strikers are shit.  Add to that Sneddon is a really good keeper and our habit of snatching at shots meant him keeping a clean sheet was always odds on.

To be fair we should have been relegated in any one of the last 3 or 4 seasons - overall performances like tonight's have been too few and far between.

I get the feeling Thistle are only in with a shout of the play-offs because they have taken 10 points from their "bogey team"... they were Dung with a capital D.

To add to the despondency, it was f**king freezing for an April night tonight 🥶

If those 10 points were taken away we’d only drop one place and be 4 points behind the team we play next.

If you took them off us and gave them to Queens we’d still be ahead of you.

We’ve been shite recently but still quite rightly in with a shout along with the other consistent form avoiders in the top half.

Would it? Given the costs involved in setting it up and employing and training people, I'd have my doubts.

Think you are underestimating the amount of money big breweries throw at venues to install dispense equipment and tie them in to selling their beer. Carling / Molston Coors, Tennent's, Heineken, Ab-Inbev would all do it free of charge just for the brand presence in football grounds.

Point of order.....  I doubt that you’ve tried every takeaway in central Edinburgh.  Accordingly your claim that this place is the worst must be viewed as the teenage schoolgirl-esque exaggeration of a drama queen and therefore disregarded.

If however,  you edit your post by , for instance , adding the words “that I’ve had” at the end of the first sentence then what’s left of your credibility may just about be salvaged and we can all move on from this whole sorry episode.
