  1. Steady, good win and performance tonight but the remit for McGlynn is quite clear and I won’t be admitting anything until he’s achieved what he’s here to do.
  2. Training session. I don’t think I’ve seen many easier wins in the 26 years I’ve been going to games.
  3. Nice wee video on the Stirling socials. They fancy this don’t they?
  4. We should be in meltdown if we don’t beat Stirling Albion at home in a league game. It wouldn’t be over the top at all.
  5. They just need to prove it on the park. I agree on paper those players are upgrades but still seeing the same frailties defensively as last season so far. Hamilton haven’t lost a goal yet, by the way. Good performance at Cove by all accounts but couldn’t get over the line at the end of the day (against a weakened opponent who’ll be a challenger for the title). It’s a concern for me.
  6. Hamilton and Cove seem to have found their legs in this league right away going by their results and apparent performances. We easily beat Annan (who will be lucky to reach 10 points this season) and needed a last minute equaliser to take a point against a Cove side missing their two best players. I’ve not seen much so far this season to make me think we’re an improved aide from last season and I think assuming Hamilton and Cove aren’t capable of having a Dunfermline or Airdrie type season is a mistake. A good humping of Stirling on Tuesday would help settle the nerves a bit.
  7. No point looking at the league table at the moment but one thing I would say is; does anybody think we’re capable of going away to Edinburgh or Montrose and winning easily by 2 or 3 goals. I can’t see it and that’s worrying for me.
  8. I don’t want to sack him but that article in the Herald today just makes you bang your head off a wall. The guy is a loser. He is a habitual loser and so are we as a club. It’s a match made in hell.
  9. I’m no seeing folk trying to blame Lang for that goal on Saturday. Surely not.
  10. The fact this is being asked is the most damning indictment of McKay you could get. He can’t continue to play.
  11. If we hadn’t gifted them the second goal we’d probably have been fine anyway. Decisions go against you in games at times but we got back into the game and were in a good position to win on Saturday. Only got ourselves to blame.
  12. Understandable that your fans want to start the build up early for their cup final.
  13. Obviously not the best footage to make a proper judgement but it doesn’t look like it hits Henderson at all to me. The reaction of our players says a lot as well. Surely there’s no way the referee can say for sure if it’s hit an arm and if so, whose arm it’s hit from the angle he is at. If it’s true he didn’t consult with the assistant on that side it just makes it even more bizarre that he’s given the penalty. All of that said, we know what to expect from the officials in this league now and if you take care of the things we can control (i.e. not giving goals away every week) then we should have enough to overcome these crap calls.
  14. Given they were using the ‘old FTV’ laptop, how do you work that one out?
  15. I was sitting on the back wall of the terracing for at least part of that game. I think it’s probably the most soaked I’ve been at a game ever. It still hasn’t been beaten.
  16. McKay is terrible. It’s bad enough watching what he produces on the park but he’s an arrogant big b*****d as well (proved that with his antics towards the fans after the Airdrie playoff second leg). He should be out the door and if he can’t be booted out, he should be sitting in the stand. We will not do anything this season if he has to play significant minutes on the pitch for us.
  17. I don’t live overseas so don’t pay that much attention but it has certainly happened a few times in recent years if I remember correctly.
  18. There used to be games that they couldn’t cover because of connectivity before they switched provider so not really sure what your point is. Presumably there’s no power/internet/both available at the ground.
  19. We really should be looking to win this comfortably today looking at the starting XIs. Send a message early then just keep the foot down all season.
