  1. The insistence on the African Nations Cup being referred to as the African Cup of Nations.
  2. The fightback is in full flight! Second bottom now.
  3. Whatever the combination of pish and shite is. Skitters would probably sum it up.
  4. And repeat. Week after week it's the same story. To be fair, there was dig there but we look short on quality. The guys deserve credit for the hard shift. I wonder if the Thistle lads hadn't been wearing short sleeves they might not have tumbled down injured so often? What a mob for squealing like Jessies.
  5. Jeezy peeps, another post from you on the Morton route to financial success. You forgot: A club that was bankrolled by a wealthy benefactor for years, allowing it to live beyond its means. A club whose wealthy benefactor who recently wrote off a loan of £400k A club whose wealthy benefactor also wrote off its investment in the club and very kindly transferred shares to the fans rather than, as it could have, sold it off to the highest bidder. If your erstwhile wealthy benefactor hadn't been so good as he stepped back, clearing all that was owed by you and had been invested in you via shares, you'd be in the shitter so, please, no more back slapping posts about how well you are doing financially.
  6. I'd be very surprised if we don't race to the top of the "players with facial chib mark" league as we look to bring in loan players to augment / toughen up our young squad.
  7. Definitely more optimistic about this one after the decent display against United. A home win to end the year.
  8. We'll, it worked for us. You Lichtie lads could learn something here. How many is it you've shipped to United without scoring - ten in two games? United pressed us so the punting was a direct result of that. That they weren't able to take advantage of it was their problem. Needs must, and the guys put in a power of a shift, with us crafting the best chance of the game which Paton should have buried. We desperately needed to steady the ship and we did that. Every credit to them.
  9. There would be a change in the voting if the route to the playoffs was restricted to the actual champions of the LL. Last year, you could have finished fourth behind the B teams and headed to the playoffs and this year (whilst it's not going to happen), it could be third. It's nonsense.
  10. As said above, I doubt Rose would voluntarily play 15 miles away from Linlithgow. Anyway, given the number of glory hunters that travel to Parkhead from all over Scotland each week, it shouldn't be beyond Celtic B to attract twice the home crowds they have at the moment, let alone more at away games. Even their own fans don't buy into this farce.
  11. Seriously? Do you want someone (anyone!!!!!) in within a week and no longer, or do you want the right person in? Given the director of football (who would normally be the man looking for new managers) had resigned and, I'm assuming, the club were going to give Veldman a wee run at it, I can't see there being anyone getting fitted for his QP trackie before the ICT game in anticipation of Veldman going. We just need to wait and hope that Pep gets released by City for his next big adventure.
  12. We're, notionally, a club run by the members and the members elect a committee. They run the club on behalf of the members, and there is an annual election of committee members with a couple, I think, coming up for reelection each year. That's the opportunity for other members to put themselves forward, which is change from a more restrained arrangement a few years ago The complications now are that we have a CEO who has taken on whatever role that is meant to cover, whilst the elephant in the room is Willie Haughey. His dosh is supporting the youth model and a wheen of other things. In my opinion, we're lucky to have him (which won't go down well with everyone, but I'm an auld ct who couldn't care less) as he's probably saved us from joining the Shire, Cowden, Brechin and Berwick in the twilight zone from which none of them will ever return. He also has a track record of supporting local kids in sport, and has given QP cash before without making a song and dance about it. How much power he wields, I do not know but at least he's a benefactor that isn't a horrible state that treats some of its citizens like cattle or worse
  13. The post match confrontation just pushed the usual spirit-sapping visit to Greenock to new levels.
  14. It's the Queen's Park way to let the opposition score at least one. I'll settle for 4-1 pumpings.
  15. Scott Brown and the rest of the unemployed ex-OF mob will be "linked" with every managerial job going in the press. Twas ever thus.
  16. If we pump everyone 4-0 over the next few weeks, it'll be permanent!
  17. People need to rouse themselves and make sure they vote or submit their proxy.
