  1. Point one was said directly by him. "Gary won't play for the club again. And it's not just personal reasons."
  2. Aye, if he has to put up with the patter of yourself or Random Guy he gets to f**k off straight away.
  3. Will be devastated that the club don't deem him good enough to equal Rory Loy and his 5K a week deal.
  4. Playing a different type of football in France IIRC.
  5. Scott Burns of the Daily Mail reports ElBak2e has signed.
  6. Was debating that with my old man yesterday - any clauses need to be Intl Calls or Appearance related. If he signs a 3 year deal, it's reasonable to say he's there until his "peak" years are over and his next move is downward or sideways for not much cash. We've done a great job showing we can help elevate players, which should help when players decide their next move at a younger age, similar to what the DABs done. All about improving our negotiating position in the future now.
  7. That's them just chucking names at walls again now then.
  8. Nemsadze is a god, but a goal scorer in any sense of the word he was not.
  9. Wouldn't mind us getting the bidding war going now TBH - make it clear he is free (if he doesn't accept our new offer by the expiry date), and get some real frenzy if at all possible. Then try to flog Kane as part of a Super Package.
  10. Don't believe it for a second TBH, goes against everything the club has put out and talks about. No worries.
  11. Wonderful, another defender who can't fucking defend.
  12. Making a pass is an attribute I'd expect of a 6 year old boy. My issue as stated is how laboured he is in progressing the play forward. The pirouette does my substantial titties in also. I think the problem is he spent so much of his time as a more advanced player and because of this enjoys more time on the ball than he needs, compared to Sicknote Thomson who's best attribute was the 2 touch CM role, which allowed the transition from defence to attack to be smoother and more to my liking. As I said, I see why people like him, he runs about and nibbles at players and rarely loses posession, but it comes across like a jack of all, master of none. Wasn't a huge fan of McAlister either, funnily enough. 🙈
  13. 2 of the 3 I don't really rate signed on 2 and 3 year extensions today leaves me sad. McGinn extension coming soon I'd bet also to hit the trifecta. I do see what others see in McGowan to be fair, but for me he is too slow at the linking of play for a team who really excels on counter football and have a fast flowing attacking unit. Looks like we won't be getting the hatchet type player I so desire us to find to help protect the back 4 aswell, as that's us at 5 (remarkably similar) pro CMs next season already.
  14. Not had the chance to re-watch Wednesday back in full yet (only watched Rangers game back the once so far), but my initial analysis is that we played a balanced team with cover for our defensive players. Media are switching between calling it a 5-3-2 and a 3-5-2, but when I look at it, I see the WM that I was championing above. The problem with Rangers was figuring out how they'd play. With their players out, that created uncertainty to PH probably, add on that no-one had really played an out and out attack, so you couldn't really decide how they would react to anything we done, unless we done what everyone else does which is sit back - which is why I would've done that (with improvements in personnel and countering), and not what we did - but PH can't be faulted for it - it's what he (and most would agree) thinks is our strongest XI (minus Loy possibly). Take this with whatever you amount of salt you want - but I was told by a "friend" that Meggatt was signed to primarily be CH back-up, not LB, which would explain why even in Holts lowest hour he isn't dropped for Darryl, but I'm not averse to seeing how he performs there, but just not against Hearts. I'd like to see McGinn and Holt given the cover they so desperately need, especially if we are going to insist on them getting forward. It's like the old Andre Villa-Boas joke that goes around in coaching circles - he loves a high line, but doesn't coach his teams to press, which results in balls over the top and through causing mayhem when the CM of the opposition gets too much time or space. Every simple idea has something else which you need to do to make it work correctly - in this case attacking FBs require the holding CMs (not just 2 CMs like Ross and Gowzer) to be able to either replace the CHs when they fall wide to cover, or to even cover the FBs themselves.
  15. To me the deep lying problem is that our balls out attacking 4-2-3-1 won't and doesn't work against teams who are strong out wide. It heavily exposes that Stewart and the LW aren't inputting enough energy defensively, and it doesn't appear as if they are told to either. We need more balance against those teams - this may or may not require changing formation (to a WM formation?) or changing personnel by dropping one of the 3 main attackers(?), or even both. Until we start adjusting to counteract our opponents, we will continue to be Jekyll and Hyde, giving some teams 4, and no showing against others, and completely neutralised. As far as next season, I'm still hoping for a new LB and RB to go along with a natural wide left man and a proper break-down man.
  16. If we were being brutal I'd be looking for a new RB and a new LB on top of those two signings. I'd be loaning out Meggatt who doesn't seem to be in any plans and keeping Konrad who's as good as Julen IMO and doesn't try to over-complicate things.
  17. Meggatt has another year. Here's the full list, with only GGHs needing updated since the trigger.
  18. Right, Ceramic Tile Warehouse shirt on the go, Stags Heed, whas in?
  19. What the f**k was that?! The shirt on the other hand is my shirt of choice for the weekend now, inspirational stuff!
  20. Negative. Automatic Early Release is done. Finished on Monday in fact. Poor Declan.
  21. Somebody deciding to play 2 players out of position because they couldn't build a balanced squad, are they also thick/dumb?
  22. I can only imagine i'd be like watching Lee Wilkie in the early 2000s. Mazys everywhere.
  23. Bain - rate. Mcginn - don't rate Holt - don't rate Konrad - in the middle O'dea - rate so far McGowan - in the middle as a DCM. Low - don't rate . Ross - don't rate Stewart - rate Harkins - rate Hemmings - rate
