You sound like a Livingston fan mate . Each to their own though .

Just not worth it financially if you're missing x amount of games through other plans or just not wanting to go watch garbage week in week out.  If we're good to watch I would imagine they'll get more money out me in the long run.  It will be interesting to see what the prices are going up this year.  £22 is already steep for this level as a walk up price, think ST was £300 this year.  Payment scheme has been left late as well, was February last year which gave you 4/5 months.

I am guessing this is priority access to the new stand rather that priority access to renew a season ticket in case they sell out…

I'm not renewing this season, well not at the moment.  Missed a few games for other reasons and missed a few because I just couldn't be arsed going along.  Value for money entertainment wise has just not been there and until I see some form of rectifying that in the summer (serious additions to the squad) I will just do PATG.  Been to 12 of our 16 home league games, 2 wins, 2 draws 8 defeats, scored 12 goals and conceded 20

TO BE FAIR.. Reading did appear to have come on leaps and bounds in the first few weeks under Brown and we were looking really good down the left hand side with Murphy and Reading before he got injured.

He was consistently in Scotland U19's/U21's playing with Harvie so there's clearly a player in there somewhere

I do understand that, however should he be our starting left back next season and we don't have any cover or half decent option to replace him, you can see what will unfold from here and on the terraces.  I get the McAllister extension if he's a squad players, can cover everywhere at the back.  However again, need to be signing a decent right back.

If that is the thinking, I'd love to see him get behind the idea of having home fans use all 3 sides of the terracing when the away support is relatively small, once the NT is open and we can all move round.

Not possible in games against clubs that'll bring more than a couple hundred, but I really like having the away support in stand / enclosure and having the terracing being used for home supporters - feels like an extra advantage.

In the grand scheme of things it might not make much difference, but from a fans poitn of view i think its great.

Had heard they were looking into data and we scoring more goals shooting into the railway end, not sure if there is something in that.

    Not that good for FWIW.

Actually after getting booked Oakley had no option to avoid physical contact.

In fairness Sanders did apply as much holding, pushing and in your face tatics up until the booking.

Anyway a game of two half's,  or maybe 43mins and 47 mins.

Happy with the draw, happy with 10 points v Ayr, happy season is nearly over as the thin squad is looking dead on it's feet.

New stand/terracing is looking good but feel you have missed an opportunity it doesn't look to have a great seating capacity.

Two more seating rows might have just done it or was hospitality the main brief?

There's around 800 seats in total with under 200 for hospitality.  Our hospitality will double in size which was the main aim.  New offices inside for the club with space to rent, new area for disabled section which is long overdue and will have a sensory room.  Think that was put on hold as the cost of the works almost doubled.

    It’s a weird one.

Based on this season does Reading deserve a new contract? Probably yes.

Do the past few seasons tell us that he is consistently good enough to help us get promoted? No.

I think people will struggle to look past just how poor he was last season.  Wasn’t even so much on the ball or going forward but his positioning defensively was woeful and it cost us goals in games. The playoffs would’ve finished most players off but again I think Bullen lacked that ruthless streak to get rid of players that he really should’ve. I take the point about not wanting an overhaul as regardless of Reading or McAllister we still need around 5-6 new bodies. If he signs a new contract then you can only hope there’s someone there pushing him to perform or can take his spot if he drops off.

Mutch, Ecrepont* / Watret*, McAllister, McGinty, Stanger / Dempsey, McGeady**, Murphy, Syla, Tomlinson* / McKenzie, Bryden, Rose***, Guthrie*, McRoberts*

*Excpect to be loaned out/in and out match day squads

    **Will probably retire football side

    ***Unlikely to stay

So far 16 signed up with 5 you can't rely on being involved starting 11 or even bench and don't expect McGeady to carry on and don't see Rose staying.  Think signings will be more likely in the 8-10 range.

Good.  We need to get to a point where minimal incoming players are quality additions, rather than a wholesale influx of 'projects'

The year is 2049 and Ayr United are delighted to announce contract extensions for Nick McAllister, Paddy Reading and Sean McGinty.  Manager Finn Ecrepont beleives they will be vital this season and the hip operation for Sean McGinty won't hinder his pre season.

    Clarke

    McAllister  Stanger  McGinty  Musonda

    Chalmers  Dempsey  Smith  Murphy

    Dowds  McKenzie

Subs: Albinson, Sanders, Tomlinson, Donnelly, McGeady, Guthrie, Bryden, Willoughby, McRoberts

Hoping Musonda is back and can come in for Sanders and go to left back. Ideally one of Syla/McHugh are available, but just no idea if they will be.  Worry for me is Brown firing McGeady into centre mid, sure he played there in a closed doors game v Motherwell.

Can count Donnelly out the match squad, starting for the U18s.

  9. I think he’s probably lucky the linesman is quick on it, who knows what happens all round if he doesn’t in terms of how aggressive it can look if he’s doesn’t. No idea what has been said, but you don’t want to be seen walking up towards her swearing in what can be perceived as an intimidating manner.

Nothing to do with Tuesday anyway. Just pump them Ayr.

  10. McKenzie and Willoughby seemingly going into midfield on Saturday worries me if McGugh or Syla aren’t back. Smith the natural midfielder and Tomlinson who has played there previously never got a sniff to come and play there. Don’t want to rush either injured players back and aggravate any niggles. Would be happy enough with the 11 above, but don’t see both Bryden and McKenzie dropping out.

It’s a bit of a shite prospect but we can’t exactly ask Morton to fight on our behalf to get us onto the terrace when Morton put Ayr fans in the corner of our stand.

Hopefully we sell enough to be out on the terrace, but announcing that we’ll likely be stuck in the stand with the prospect of getting behind the goal if enough of us go is hardly a great sales strategy for Ayr.

Similar to Arbroath telling us to sit in a tiny section of their stand or stand in the pissing rain at Christmas time, Scottish football clubs don’t really help themselves at times.

To be fair, it’s something I’ve always wanted from a purely selfish point of view as a home fan. If clubs aren’t going to bring more than what is in the stand and the below terracing then I’ve always advocated for them to be in there. Last few years we’ve been able to switch ends and be behind both goals etc and next season the access will be there with the new stand having a gate to allow the passage through. We had the issue with Arbroath as well being stuck at the side with a push view. Was at the last meeting where Mathie was going on about making Ayr the best away day in Scotland etc. Clubs shouldn’t be rolling out the red carpets for away fans, never understand it. Unless you’re Livi of course!

  12. Seen the furore on twitter regarding Morton fans being flung in the main stand on Tuesday. Seating area plus the standing section below is roughly about 400/500 capacity so would imagine that will accommodate the travelling support, with the game being a Tuesday. Would imagine once they sell the set number of seats they’ll say access will be available to the terracing below.
