  1. Had heard the hope was appointed by Monday, in stands Tuesday and in dug out for QP.
  2. Not going anyway, will probably go to Arboath game on Tuesday now. Hope White makes a few changes and fingers crossed we get through: Albinson Ahui Stanger McGinty Reading Dempsey Smith Chalmers Tomlinson Amartey Bryden Subs: Mutch, McAllister, Watret, Senga, Syla, McKenzie, Rose, Dowds, Murphy Give Watret the second 45 score dependent and hopefully bring Chalmers off and hopefully don't need Murphy and Dowds.
  3. Looking at the weather, hopefully Saturday should be fine. Hard frost the now, but temps look set to rise over today to Saturday.
  4. I DM'd Mcbookie yesterday to see about prices and they were saying they had info we were speaking to someone, only for them to send a picture of that Transfer Scotland on Twitter saying we were looking at him
  5. We spoke in our group chat the other day about how Darren Youngs name was always in the mix and here we are years later and there he is Sure he was interviewed along with McCall.
  6. Also, with Reading being our only left back at the moment, surely there is a case for bringing Holding back from his loan?
  7. I think we do well considering the obvious limitations/hurdles we have. 4 teams within a 30 mile radius of us are in the Premiership (Celtic/Rangers/St Mirren/Killie) and add to that you have Thistle and Queens Park that play at a similar level to us. It can be hard to attract and keep the best youth players. Like has been said, we seem to have a good group at the moment who are getting Scotland Youth call ups. Ecrepont, Watret, Holding, Hyslop, Tomlinson, Allan all seem to be players we can may be get to see come through the ranks over the next 2/3 years. With White in charge this week, I am hoping to see at least Watret and Tomlinson get some game time v Kelty Hearts.
  8. Meant more by young managers looking to cut their teeth in management. Brown seemed to be doing ok at Fleetwood before the turmoil last season.
  9. Chat is we’ve spoken to both Courts and Brown. Will also speak to David Gray. Not sure how reliable, but all sound like the profile we’d be going for.
  10. I'm more than certain him and the board weren't aligned with how they were going to be doing business in the summer and that's how it came about him leaving Dundee. The inside story of Gary Bowyer's Dundee exit as tensions laid bare before the hand-delivered note which sealed his fate | The Scottish Sun
  11. Bowyer would be great, however I just can't see him rocking up to 9th place Ayr United when he seemingly left Dundee in the summer because he didn't feel he would be backed in the summer to compete in the Premiership.
  12. White in charge interim, Chalmers staying and Young away. No mention of Senga, would rather Young stayed, but them the breaks.
  13. These jokers are wanting SIXTEEN pounds to watch Ayr United v Kelty Hearts
  14. Yep, as the day has went on, it’s gradually made me angrier. They clearly don’t see much problem with where we are and hold a grudge with fans for feeling angry about the possibility of relegation.
  15. It would be daft for both McCabe and Ayr at this moment in time. McCabe would have to try work with a team that just does not suit how he wants to play and would inevitably lead to the status quo, he would need plenty of players in and out to do that, more of a close season job.
  16. Mcgeady phones up clubs managers who have our players on loan, a kind on intermediary to see how they are getting on etc. While Ryan Stevenson was manager at Glenafton, McGeady phoned up asking why Lyal Holding wasn’t starting when he’s very highly rated. Stevensons reply was that he kept being played for the u18s every Friday and was playing 90 minutes and then expected to play on a Saturday for Glenafton .
  17. Mathie and Smith are probably too emotionally attached to Bullen as like is quoted, he was a good ambassador. The problem was he wasn’t a particularly good manager/head coach to go with it. To have any sort of grievance with fans who are not happy with being 9th and not happy with the results is a bit mad. Just waiting on @ayrunitedfw creaming for Neil McCann.
  18. Well, taking the emotion out of it, it’s completely the right call. We’re right back where we were when he was brought in, so 2 years down the line we’re back at stage 1, with now having to fight our way out of a relegation battle. I do feel bad in the sense he seems like a nice guy, but he’s just not up to taking us where Smith etc want us to go. What next? Who knows. Still worries with Mathie in charge/having a big say. I remember being excited when he first came in etc, but as time has gone on, I’ve come to realise he’s all talk. We were told to enjoy him as another team would swoop in and he’d be away, genuinely no idea what team in Scotland would want to appoint him in this role. Will it be White until end of the season or will we get our new boss in to assses the team, try keep us up and reboot for next year. Don’t see us going for someone in a job currently, or managing currently. O’Dea has been the name banded about before and he may be the type of head coach/puppet that Mathie and Glendinning can use to keep the conveyer belt of diddies (project players) from down south coming.
  19. I think the most irritating thing is, you just know if we pull the trigger on Bullen, it will be when the window is closed and the new manager will have to deal with this rabble. Although likelihood is White for the remainder of the season.
  20. Another game missed and glad I did. Doubt I’ll be back any time soon. Bullen not man enough to walk and Mathie not got the balls to admit he’s fucked up and sack him. I don’t give much of the blame to Smith as he’s more or less just signing cheques, but he needs to stand up and act or it’s going to go severely tits up very quickly for him.
