Sure the press conference the other week was a minute and a half of Clarke talking about his time at Ayr. Is it Mathie who generally sorts these things out? Probably busy doing his tick box exercises with the youth WOSFL as I reckon he's trying for a job with the SFA.

I think they just don’t bother. I’m sure if they were to ask for some volunteers to do it, they’d get at least half a dozen folk that would be interested. Or at least someone who can give ideas and guidance to someone at the club and they can film it.
There is no enthusiasm or excitement generated. There wasn’t a press conference last week. So far there has been nothing this week from the club that would make someone in two minds think, f**k it, I’ll go up to Firhill.
Next week, they could have an event after the final whistle. Meet the players on the park for half an hour after the game, for kids to get shirts signed and pictures taken. Have signed shirts at a discounted price on sale in the club shop to clear out the dead stock come 21:30 (hopefully) next Friday night.
Have folk looking forward to next season rather than ending this one thinking the whole season was a non-event. No cup run, no play-offs(hopefully) and no real excitement. The only exciting thing is a new stand and the possibility of not getting shat on by a seagull on the north terrace. They are busy getting "Premiership ready" planning on hoping where we will be in 5 years time, rather than where we are just now. Well, will it be 3 years time after this year, or does the 5 year target just stay 5 years after every disappointing season?

This "brutal" Morton thing is a load of nonsense. In reality we are not a team of tall, strong players and on more than one occasion this season we've been kicked off the park by opponents (Airdrie at Cappielow being one prime example). Part of our problem this season has been the number of injuries we have sustained - from Jai Quitongo being assaulted by the usually mild mannered Andy Murdoch to George Oakley being targeted by some double barrelled mutant from Monklands. I think Raith are more than capable of giving as good as they get in that respect.
No idea what we'll be like on Saturday, whether we are trying as hard as possible to hang on to 5th and the extra prize money that means, or more likely with thoughts on a wee break in the sun before next season. Would be nice to beat Raith although in truth there isn't really anything vital to play for with this one as we're now safe and Raith are safe in second place. We will have Strapp and Wilson out which weakens our team considerably. I'm guessing a dull 1-1 draw but it's Morton so you never know.
Are you lot still bleating on about that He tried to stop a counter attack, it wasn't a GBH assault as you make out.

Fixed that for you.

Don’t know if it was mentioned, but heard Timmons was coming back a few weeks back and see Carlisle have now said they are looking for a new goalkeeping coach.

Was that not the old supporters association? You paid a yearly fee that allowed you in to hospitality pre and post match for drinks and you could pay an extra £10 or £20 a game to watch from a box I think.
I may have made most of this up but I’m sure you had to be a paid member.it kind of devalued hospitality slightly because you had people that had paid for corporate hospitality, all dressed up in a box and the other 4 were full of punters in Ayr tops.
Aye it was something along those lines. As far as I was aware, the box they were in was designated for them and the usual hospitality punters were not in there. Might be wrong, was a few years ago now.

I had heard a wee while ago that there were plans for a season ticket that basically had you in hospitality for every game and it was priced at roughly the same as the 5 year season ticket so maybe whoever told me was getting their wires crossed a bit.
There used to be a gold season ticket where you were in a box with other ticket holders (think about 10 or so) and had access to bar pre match, but no food.

Moult Graham
Had Ayr and Queens Park been further up the league, Dowds, Murphy and Paton would all have been in with a shout. Strapp as well had he played the full season for Morton. Hard to look by the top 4 considering how poor the bottom other 6 have been.

The problem is, we should be looking to bin as much of that defence as possible. Yet McAllister new contract, Reading not far off being announced, rumours of Clarke and Sanders signing with McGinty and Stanger already under contract. Jeez Louise will we ever learn?

Personally would have had the NT seating prices together and rest of the ground together rather than mixing it all up.

The entire email seems geared towards season tickets with seats and if they want to move to the North stand.
I find it weird there's one option for those who stand, £300, but there's loads of options due seats by age range, concession type, etc.
Why on earth would I pay them £300 to stand when I could get a student seat for £210?
You’ll have to provide student ID before it’s loaded onto your card.

So we’re going to have goalkeepers of Clarke and Mutch signed up, with defenders of McAllister, Reading, Sanders, McGinty and Stanger. What could possibly go wrong haha.

Murphy is always our taker so I didn’t particularly understand how he didn’t take either!
He missed the last time v Arbroath so maybe that.

My only grumble/negative say on today was the penalty situation. Willoughby grabbing the ball for the first and a few words with Dowds and the same at the second. That should be sorted pre match.

Not really interested in the football but I’ve not been to somerset so making the trip through on the train. Pub recommendations from the station to the ground? Preferably one that does food and shows the 12:30 ko.
If you’re going to Prestwick, Red Lion had decent food at reasonable prices, pub grub type and only couple minute walk from the station. Ayr you have a few good choices. Willie Wastles is best for food and sports, had like 20 odd teles and football/horse racing etc, about a 10 minute walk right down the town. You’ll pass Tam O’Shanter like Itzdrk recommended, but it’s only got like 2 teles and with the racing on might not show the football.
