  1. Just back from 2 weeks in Orlando which conveniently tied in with the Phillies road trip to Florida. Managed to get to the 3-1 11 inning win against the Rays and was inches away from getting Darick Hall's home run ball which somehow evaded both me and the missus. At least we didn't drop the cheese steaks we had just bought... We are in the clip below wearing the red Harper 3 t-shirts 🙈

Continues another week.  Has anybody actually impressed?  Joe was the one person who I liked so far this series

I assume by liked you don't mean you thought he was good? Utterly useless.

I had Reece pegged as third least worst before his departure which was somewhat disappointing. Before last night I had thought Simba was the least worst almost by default but probably not any more.

Are we really still talking about something that happened over 50 years ago? Time to move on.

Game was a bit of an anticlimax but happy with another easy win. The 9ers defence was not as strong as expected, probably just as well as Hurts was still very clearly injured and didn't have his best game.

Can see the NFL mandating a third quarterback on the gameday roster for next year.

Guessing you haven't seen any of it.

Certainly how I saw most of the calls too, there were bad ones both ways.

It wasn't even close to being a late hit on the sideline, but it was two helmet to helmet hits, not one.

The late hit on Heinike was madness. He had clearly kneeled long before it.

I didn't see any of the game, first I've missed all season - perhaps I'm partly to blame for the loss.

Having a shocker this season regardless of whether I try and put thought into it or go with gut feeling and take no more than 5 seconds.

Went 7-7 this week and 8-6 week before which is probably my best two weeks of the season.

I finally allowed the missus to take control of the picks for this week. No surprise it was my highest score of the season.

Not sure whether to laugh or cry.

  6. Seems to have worked out fairly well for the Phillies. Securing the 5th seed would have been a very difficult path. The Cardinals were probably the best matchup we could have hoped for and, although the Braves are very strong, I'd fancy our chances in the NLDS.

On the flip side, the last week or so has played out terribly for the Mets. Losing the division has meant that instead of enjoying a bye and facing either the Phillies or Cardinals they need to get past the Padres with the Dodgers up next.

First playoffs in 11 years, cannot wait!!

  7. Now makes sense why Eubank snr was so against the fight. No contaminated meat excuse for Benn whom I have been a huge fan of. Absolutely shocked he's a drug cheat but no reason at all for this particular drug to be in his system. Banged to rights.

Was really looking forward to the fight too, bitterly disappointing, but it would have been a complete sham if it went ahead following this news. Strongly rumoured that the promoters were doing everything they could to keep the fight on and it was DAZN that ultimately ordered the plug to be pulled due to the terrible PR it would have brought. Things really aren't going well for Matchroom at the moment.

  8. Since the WHS came in, it's been pointed out that the CSS has never once moved at my club for any competition. This weekend we had 155 players playing, 3 were under handicap (two at 2 under, one at 1 under), one played to handicap. The rest were over handicap including 39 NRs. Almost half the field (75) were at least 8 shots over handicap. This seems utterly ridiculous and the word is that this is a problem affecting all clubs in Scotland.  Has anyone else noticed this or actually had any movements in the CSS at their clubs?

  9. Congrats Fuctifano!

Pretty humiliating season for myself, just pleased to have avoided the bottom spot. A real struggle this year. Well done to all those fellow strugglers that saw it through to the end!

  10. Another week, another losing record. Going back the way my recent results have been 6, 5, 7, 6 - pretty tragic.

Decided to make this week's picks purely on the results of a random generator. Fully expect this to be my best week thus far.
