  1. You would think that, but no. Ps we will never actually get 290k for Stewart, its just an asking price.
  2. They are paying 100% of the wages. The deal only broke down as Bradford did not want to pay a fee for Compton.
  3. Stupid question, but is there a Kircaldy train station?
  4. Daily Ranger says we're about to sign Neil McFarlane.
  5. I'll be there. Hopefully our new frenchy striker will play.
  6. In hindsight yes. But he's here now so nothing else to do but back him, he's going nowhere this season.
  7. Allan Moore who has had far many more years in management and started at an easier level of management. Come back to me when Pressley's been in management for as long as Moore has. 7th is mid-table now is it? Utter failure until the penultimate weekend? Nothing like twisting the truth. All Scottish clubs are skint. Granted not are all in the financial restraints we are in just now, but no longer can most Scottish clubs go out and pay big transfer fees for players. This should be the model used for most football clubs in Scotland, where the players do not cost anything to come in and if they develop well, make a few bob for the club. 7 goals in 12 games, thats a goal ratio of just more than 1 goal every 2 games. A fantastic ratio, which I doubt any of your strikers reached last season. Andy Jackson? As somebody pointed out earlier, not very prolific for the exception of one season. Name the last time he played a full season. He wasn't even used last season when St Johnstone couldn't score in a brothel. To prove to that Jackson joined because of Morton owning the training ground and stadium, as you have said.
  8. You did, and he has achieved more than Allan Moore has in the first division. As Morton are richer, and surely attract better players, why was Pressley more successful last year than Moore, who were both in their first full seasons at their clubs? Moore also has more experience of lower league management, Pressley is a newbie inexperienced manager, as shown last year. Yes, and players do not care if the club owns the training facilities. The only one who cares seems to be you. I'm not sure about that. The club is well known for bringing through young players from the academy such as Barr, Arfield, Scobbie, Twaddle, Flynn Stewart, Murdoch, Duffie all playing competitively for the club. Along with a few others next season, barely strikes of a club who bring in older journeymen. Dods will be fine this season. Correct. However, a player wouldn't oppose to joining a club on the basis that the club in question do not own the stadium. Name your striker which had a better goal ratio than under 1 goal every 2 games he played. You register and fill me in with the facts. I'm sure he'll say that he joined because the club owns its facilities.
  9. Correct. Hopefully with Flynn leaving more players will come in. You won't players coming in the same age as Dods.
  10. So working for Morton and Stirling Albion is better than working for the national team? I take it you know absolutely nothing about Falkirk's training facilities then. Most players who have signed with Falkirk will tell you how impressive the training facilities are at Stirling University. Albeit I don't know anything regarding Morton's training facilities. Yeah some retirement home, Dods is the oldest in the squad by some distance, I suggest our average age of squad is far younger than yours, this season and last season. All things considered, how does the owning of a stadium prove that a player would rather join that club? Well I must have missed that one. I'll believe you when you provide me with evidence that Ross County offered him a "much more lucrative deal". What, worse than last season?
  11. Your manager is a wee ned, who drivels more shite than Yogi ever did. I'm not sure of many players who want to join a club because they own a training ground. In that case, players are more likely to join Morton over Dundee United. And owning a ground means nothing either. Many clubs in England don't own their grounds(Leicester, Coventry for example), are you telling me players would rather join Morton than these clubs? You attracted Andy Jackson because Morton was the only club interested, that put a good deal on the table for him. My eyes are perfectly dry.
  12. Higher budget no doubt. Higher standard of player, yes, when they will discover our crippling finances. If we had an equal wage budget, I bet you most players would rather come to Falkirk.
  13. In the same way that I'd look forward to getting a hot needle stabbed in both my eyes. Can't wait!
  14. They all aren't as immobile as Dods, with the exclusion of Scobbie and Ireland.
  15. That was my initial first fear with a partnership of Dods and Scobbie. Granted McLean wasn't rapid but didn't seem as stecky.
  16. Falkirk v Inverurie Locos tonight, anybody know of anybody heading up?
  17. I blame Pressley, George Craig, Martin Ritchie... change the fucking record.
  18. And Chris Mitchell and Tam Scobbie played for Scotland Under 21s, doesn't mean they are any good.
