I would love to see the covid absenteeism figures in certain sectors compared to others. 20% Calmac workers off Bet nurses and teachers are right up there too. I wonder what the percentage of self employed workers or private sector workers are.A fraction I bet.

You could get into a venue with a covid passport whilst actually having covid but not be allowed in if you didn't have a passport even if you didn't have covid.Does that seem logical to anyone?

Totally agree.You can still get the virus even after 3 vaccinations and can still pass it on so what is the point in a passport?

That's correct mate all political parties are there to serve themselves not the people.I don't know what the answer is but the political system is broken.Run by incompetent politicians only interested in votes and staying in power.Thats why they gave the contract of those two ferries to a Scottish yard,for political reasons. It's tragic that we have allowed our shipbuilding heritage to come to this.

If you'd read the article you would understand why that is the only way the Calmac fleet will ever get replaced in a cost effective manner and provide the islanders with a reliable service.Lack of investment by SNP has left an ageing fleet no longer fit for purpose.

Complete and utter mismanagement of Calmac for starters.Spending 300milion on two massively over budget ferrys when they could have replaced the whole fleet for that amount.
