Sabri Lamouchi straight in at Forest. I'm off to check Wiki...

Player power apparently. Didn't take them long to suss him out. Keane obviously saw it coming. Forest fans absolutely delighted at the news by the looks of it.

These are far more sensible than any of Willie's posts. -
You can make a case for it with it being a cup tie. You can't make a case for them showing their first Fourth Division game v Stevenage live though.

Footy Accumulators@FootyAccums The Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala, has publicly warned AC & Inter that the council owns San Siro and intends to keep it open until 2026, "end of story." Hmmm Gid lad. Now pump money in to upgrade it please.

All the talk about Pogba going back to Juve hinges on them having to sell first due to FFP so them signing de Ligt is a bit surprising. Manc journos have been saying for a while that he'd agreed to go to Barca a couple of months ago so will be interesting to see what actually happens.

New kits; 2023/24 Edition (bits and bobs from overseas)
7-2 replied to DutchBorderer's topic in Misc Other Fitba Chat
Oh I know. It's ridiculous these days. Fair criticism is fine. Well all do it. However OTT negativity aimed at demeaning a club for their choice of what is generally seen as a perfectly acceptable, current strip isn't. I've read his Eastleigh stuff in four different threads on different platforms and it's the same humiliate Saints approach rather than review the strip itself. I actually thought we'd moved on but the ridiculous digging out of Swindon Supermarine showed it hadn't. I now fully expect some pics from a Chipping Sodbury church league team to take the put down to another new level but hopefully we'll just move on this time. -

Very good. Would have been excellent if there wasn't the light blue stripe down the side of the home one. -

Obviously not! 'Sticking the knife in' - FFS. Only you and apparently Jama are bothered. You would have had to go and lie down in a darkened room for a month a couple of seasons ago if you'd known Breadalbane Amateurs wore the same Joma strip as Saints. -

https://www.macron.com/eu/en/download Just out of interest I had a quick look at the 2019 Macron catalogue. The vast majority of strips still have the word Macron logo and Saints top is current until 2021. The old stock schick is a load nonsense. -
Just as we had last season.

You've got yourself into some state with the Saints strip, especially regarding Eastleigh! You're about the only one that cares. We've done bespoke a few times and some of those actually were embarrassing. You'll find most Saints fans that have commented like it, a minor detail obviously. Surplus Macron, National League Eastleigh approved or not > BLK > Steve Brown's 8 year old niece designed bespoke Joma. -
Sounds as if they've more or less reverted to the days when a keeper had to stand rooted to the spot before the penalty was kicked. ETA - https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11745438/no-var-in-premier-league-for-goalkeepers-position-at-penalties The EPL won't be using VAR for it though, they say.

Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

Sounds like Comrie's replacement is an ex-Celtic youth player that looked promising until he got savaged by a winger and was never the same again. -
Just giving the thread a quick dust and once over with a hoover to get it ready for David Turnbull.

There was talk a couple of days ago that he was thinking of walking as he wasn't happy with how things were being run. I wonder if they've pushed him before he jumped. He's certainly got used to hotel food since leaving Swansea.

They always seem to pick on at least one new ruling to enforce very strictly for the first few months, as if to emphasise the point, before more or less forgetting about it.

Apart from the transfer ban, Lampard will also have the safety net of the side effect of it by having to play a number of youngsters. I believe a lot of Chelsea fans have been keen for this to happen for a while so in some ways it's the perfect time for him to take over. It's not that he can't lose no matter what happens but it's as close to it as you'll get. It's just a matter of time for Ole. If he gets off to a poor start the 'transitional team' excuse won't wear. Wouldn't be surprised at a Woodward out campaign and resurgence in the Glazer hate stuff.

No chance it's going anywhere else. It would have gone long before now if it was.
