  1. List is in. 3 enforced changes due to changes in their living status. Out from the team of 23 go Rolf Harris, Bobby Charlton and Franny Lee. Good luck everyone.
  2. Another of the chart toppers from 1970. RIP…points!
  3. Thoughts and condolences…and points. The musicians from this thematic team - #1 uk hits from 1970 - (excl Rolf H) have all been immortal since first picked in DP2017. It’s only the England World Cup squad from that year that are keeping me in the points!

  5. Off the mark for this year I think. Rolf, you little beaut! Did you think, I would leave you dying…. Well, yes
  6. page hadn't refreshed and I thought I was being quite the comedian coming up with a variation on that one...only to see your post when the pages updated a minute later!! Forgot how fucking quick you have to be on this thread.

  8. Is "pull my thumb" still a classic or is it something that died out a few years ago?
  9. For me, its the gushiness of the way some of the youngsters talk to each other. "Oh my god, you are the best, that is soooooo super nice of you". In my day, we just used to say "Cheers for that". yours sincerely Grumpy McGrumpface.
  10. Getting annoyed because it always seemed to be you getting told to get up and change the channel on the TV. Not so much a saying but, if you were lucky enough to have 2 TVs in the house, the second was always a black and white portable with a circular internal aerial stuck in the back.
  11. Getting told to look it up in the yellow pages if you wanted a business' phone number. Also eagerly awaiting the new phone book dropping through the letterbox to see if your family's name and address was still in it! Given 10p and told to go and get a bag of sweets from the half penny tray at the local newsagent.
  12. Have had them together since 2018 - themed team of UK no1 hits from 1970. Guaranteed immortality with me picking them. In the 5 years that my team has been together - I've only lost 4 and they were all footballers from England's 1970 World Cup Squad. Not one "proper" musician has pegged it!
  13. Rita Rusk leading Scots hairdresser, cut short at 75 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-64116231
  14. George Cohen at 83 - Apparently England won the world cup...who knew! Was one of my original picks in 2015 (for 2016 DP) before I went all thematic https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52184395
  15. Master Derek!? Was that not one of Basil Brush's sidekicks?
  16. My team of immortals will be resubmitted for 23. #zeropointer2022
  17. It's getting worse....Will she last till 2023 DP? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-62515457
